Chapter 513 Too Stupid, Too Stupid

Adeline shot a quick look at Luna and then flashed a graceful smile. "Kids should have their own opinions. My daughter's behavior is none of your business."

As she spoke, she gave Luna a once-over. "Luna, instead of causing trouble here, maybe you should focus on your health. I heard you’ve got less than a year left?"

Adeline pretended to count on her fingers. "What a shame. If you and Jasper don't hurry, you won't have time to have a well-behaved daughter before you go."

Adeline's words made Luna's face go pale.

Luna narrowed her eyes at Adeline, ready to snap back, when Lily stopped at the entrance and shot Luna a cold look. "Weren't you going to show off your cooking skills? What time is it now, and you haven't even started?"

Luna bit her lip, swallowing the retort she had ready for Adeline. She took a deep breath and reached out to pull Adeline along as they walked into the villa. Luna smiled lightly. "Miss Wilson, how about we cook a nice meal for Blake and Lauren tonight? Jasper said he found a medical team for you, but who knows when they'll finish diagnosing and treating you. Meanwhile, Blake and Lauren will be staying here, and I want to do something nice for the kids. Why don't you teach me some recipes tonight?"

As soon as Luna finished speaking, Lily shot her a cold glance from a distance. "Adeline is a guest tonight! How can you ask a guest to cook? If you can cook, do it yourself. If not, don't act like you can do everything."

Lily's words made Luna's face turn slightly pale.

Luna bit her lip, tears welling up in her eyes. "Grandma, I just wanted to learn some dishes the kids like from Adeline. How can you twist my good intentions like this?"

Lily sneered, about to say something, but Jasper cut in. "Grandma, Luna means well; don't hold it against her."

Then, Jasper glanced indifferently at Adeline. "If you're willing, help Luna in the kitchen. The kids would probably love to eat something you made, and you can teach Luna at the same time."

Adeline smiled. "Since Jasper said so, I'll reluctantly agree."

With that, she headed towards the kitchen. She knew she had to go to the kitchen tonight. Otherwise, how could Luna's act continue?

Seeing Adeline finally enter the kitchen, Luna let out a barely noticeable sigh of relief and gave Jasper a grateful look. "Jasper, thank you. I'll definitely learn well from Adeline!"

Luna then placed the unopened coffee cup on the foyer table and quickly followed into the kitchen.

To Luna's surprise, when she entered the kitchen, Adeline was setting up a phone stand.

Adeline placed the phone stand in a corner, secured her phone, and then turned on the camera. "Luna, let's get started."

Luna's eyes widened. "What are you doing?"

Adeline glanced at her and smiled brightly. "Luna, didn't you want to learn how to make some dishes the kids like? It's not that I underestimate you, but I think even people with the best memory can't remember all the key points at once. I don't want to teach you a second time. I'll put a phone here to record the entire process, so you can study it later."

Adeline's reasoning left Luna momentarily speechless.

Luna bit her lip, her face looking a bit sour. "You're right. It does need to be recorded."

With that, she turned around and started washing vegetables. Out of Adeline's sight, Luna's eyes grew increasingly venomous. How could Adeline think of recording a video in the kitchen? She had planned to drug Lily tonight and pin all the blame on Adeline! But now, with the phone recording, she couldn't do anything!

Thinking this, Luna sneaked another glance at the phone. Adeline's choice of position was rather clever; the phone was angled directly toward a mirror. So, whether they were facing the camera or not, the phone could capture their every move clearly!

Luna gritted her teeth. Did Adeline know what she was planning and do this on purpose?

"Luna?"

Suddenly, Adeline's voice pulled Luna back to reality. She snapped out of it to see Adeline busy in front of her.

Adeline said, "Let me give you a brief rundown. Blake likes light flavors, so use less salt and oil. Lauren likes sweet things, so make more sweet dishes for her, but not too sweet since kids need to take care of their teeth."

Luna listened absentmindedly to Adeline's words, frowning and glancing irritably at the phone recording the video. It was really in the way!

When Adeline finished speaking, Luna pursed her lips and looked up at Adeline. "By the way, Adeline, Grandma said she wanted to eat cashew shrimp tonight. I'm a bit allergic to seafood and can't touch shrimp. So, can you make the cashew shrimp?"

Adeline paused, then smiled. "Of course."

Adeline took out the ingredients for cashew shrimp from the kitchen. "I'll make this for Grandma first, then I'll teach you how to cook for Blake and Lauren."

Luna quickly nodded. "Okay!"

In front of Luna, Adeline quickly made the cashew shrimp. After finishing, she frowned while looking through the fridge. "I want to make pineapple beef cubes for Lauren, but it seems we're out of pineapples."

Adeline took a deep breath. "I remember seeing a fruit store not far from here when I arrived. I'll go buy a pineapple."

She took off her apron and hung it by the door, then turned to leave. "Luna, you can start with something you're good at, and I'll teach you the rest when I get back."

With that, Adeline walked out the door. The kitchen was quiet, so was the living room; Lauren had already dragged Lily upstairs, and Blake was nowhere to be seen.

Luna squinted and sneered. It seemed even God was giving her a chance to execute her plan tonight!

Thinking this, Luna walked quickly to the phone in the corner, stopped the video recording, and then secretly took out the packet of powder she had gotten from the beach last night, sprinkling it evenly.

Upstairs in the study, Blake watched Luna drugging the food while eating fries, shaking his head helplessly. Luna was too stupid!

Adeline's intention to give Luna a chance was so obvious, yet this woman was too dumb to sense it!
