Nathan's words drew everyone's attention, and the room suddenly fell silent.
"What, you scared now?" Nathan smirked, crossing his arms, his eyes gleaming with triumph. "Jasper, don't blame me for being ruthless."
He continued, "Adeline killed Lily. The evidence is solid. You keep insisting on an autopsy to find more proof. If you find something, fine. If not, it's just a deliberate act of desecration, harming your grandmother's body. Doing something so outrageous, even if I kicked you out of the Foster family, it would be justified. Now, I'm just asking you to hand over your shares in the Foster Group. I'm already being lenient."
He raised an eyebrow, "So, do you dare to sign?"
Jasper narrowed but stayed silent.
The reporters surrounding them began to converse in hushed tones.
"Giving up all his shares in the Foster Group? No way! The Foster Group is Jasper's life's work. How could he just give it up?"
"But if he doesn't sign, and Nathan doesn't agree. They can't do the autopsy. Will the autopsy really find evidence?"
"Who knows? But right now, they've exhausted all other evidence. The autopsy might clear Adeline's name. Without it, she'll be stuck in prison."
"Honestly, it's just one woman. Is it worth risking the Foster Group's billion-dollar assets for her?"
"Exactly, a billion-dollar company is worth more than any woman."
Hearing the discussions around him, Jasper's brow furrowed deeply.
Rex, standing beside Nathan, was equally smug.
He quickly placed the prepared documents on the table in front of Nathan.
"Jasper, are you signing or not? Give us an answer!"
For the first time, he saw Jasper like this!
All that talk about caring for Adeline, about her being the most important.
In the end, faced with the family fortune, he hesitated, right?
Jasper was such a hypocrite!
Rex's words incited the reporters further. "Yeah, are you signing or not? Could you please refrain from wasting our time any longer?"
Jasper stood there, his hands clenched into fists at his sides.
He wasn't afraid of being broke, nor did he believe that leaving the Foster Group would leave him as destitute as Nathan and Rex.

Jasper took a deep breath, lifted his head, and looked Nathan straight in the eye. "Fine, I'll sign."
For Adeline, he was willing to take the risk.
And he was willing to trust Lily. Whatever she swallowed before she died must be something that could prove the culprit's identity!
If risking the Foster Group could clear Adeline's name and let Lily rest in peace, he was willing to do it.
Jasper's words silenced the reporters, who exchanged glances.
Everyone present was shocked by Jasper's actions.
Nathan was overjoyed and said, "Great, come sign the
Rex excitedly handed Jasper a pen. "Hurry up and sign!"
He didn't believe that cutting open that old hag's belly would reveal the real culprit!
So once Jasper signed this agreement, the Foster Group's assets would be entirely theirs!
Rex was already planning how many bottles of champagne to open that night.
Jasper squinted, walked over resolutely, and picked up the pen.
Suddenly, a woman's voice rang out. "Wait!"
Hearing that familiar voice, Jasper instinctively turned his head.
The voice came from the police station entrance.
At the station's entrance, Adeline, clad in her prison uniform but covered by Mia's red coat, was being helped along by Mia.
Jasper's pupils dilated when he saw Adeline who had aged overnight.
He quickly walked over, "Adeline."
From a distance, Rex frowned. "How did you get out?"
Mia rolled her eyes at him. "Ever heard of bail?"
Jasper supported Adeline, lowering his voice. "Are you okay? How did you get out?"
Adeline weakly replied, "I felt not well, so Mia got me out on bail."
Jasper frowned, "What's wrong?"
Adeline blushed slightly, "I'll tell you later."
She took a deep breath, glanced at Nathan and Rex in the distance, and the contract in front of them.
"Jasper, are you really going to sign?" She held Jasper's hand, her hands cold and weak. "Don't sign. It's not worth it for me."
Like everyone else, Adeline didn't believe that a seventy-year-old woman, stabbed in the chest, could leave any evidence inside her body.
If they found nothing, the Foster Group would truly belong to Nathan and Rex.
Moreover, Lily would never rest in peace.
"This is the only way." Jasper tightly held Adeline's hand, smiling at her. "Are you afraid that if I lose the Foster Group, I'll become poor?"
He tucked a stray lock of her hair behind her ear. "If I become poor, will you still stay with me and our child?"
Adeline knew he was saying this on purpose.
She sighed. "If you become poor, then Lauren and I will earn money to support you."
She glanced at everyone present. "If you must sign... then sign."
Adeline wasn't afraid of being poor. She just didn't think he needed to sacrifice so much for her.
But if this was his choice, she wouldn't strongly oppose it.
After all, he was doing it for her.
With Adeline's support, Jasper walked over, picked up the pen, and signed his name on the contract, then took Adeline's hand and walked into the police station.
Outside, Nathan and Rex's celebratory voices could be heard.
Jasper, as if not hearing them, handed the autopsy request signed by Nathan to the forensic pathologist.
Lily was wheeled into the autopsy room.
Jasper held Adeline's hand, pulling her into his arms.
They said nothing, just quietly leaned on each other, staring at the autopsy room door.
Over an hour later, the autopsy room door opened.
