Chapter 204 Jasper's Men Are Looking for You
Sebastian held Adeline's hand, and there was a slight pause.
"Jasper... I want to go home..." The woman in his arms unconsciously spoke again. Her drunken voice was originally somewhat muddled, and the previous sentence, except for Sebastian, was not clear to everyone else.
But this sentence, everyone heard it clearly.
Conor was shocked. Stella's face began to pale, and she carefully looked at Jasper beside her with the corner of her eye.
Jasper looked at Adeline, his eyes deep.
"She's drunk." Sebastian frowned, directly protected Adeline in his arms, gave Jasper a cold glance, and then led her away.
As the man led Adeline away, Jasper kept staring in the direction they left, his brow furrowed.
"It seems that Adeline is really drunk..." Stella observed Jasper's reaction with trepidation before tentatively speaking.
Jasper nodded lightly, then withdrew his gaze and lowered his head to eat.
Watching his handsome and perfect profile, Stella smiled on the surface but was extremely anxious inside.
If this continued, Adeline's identity would eventually have been exposed. She needed to find a way to get her away from Jasper...
Coming out of the hotel, Adeline kept calling Jasper's name all the way.
Since Sebastian didn't know the location of her hotel, he took her to a random hotel. After arriving at the hotel, Adeline started vomiting into the toilet.
Sebastian looked at her in this state, feeling extremely distressed. He handed her water and gently asked, "If you can't drink, why do it? Even if someone forces you, why make it so difficult for yourself?"
Adeline looked up dazedly, tears in her eyes as she gazed at him. "But today is the first time I attend a business gathering with Jasper after our marriage. His business partner asked me to drink, how could I refuse... I don't want to be a burden to him, I don't want him to think I'm useless."
After saying that, the woman started vomiting into the toilet again.
Sebastian was at a loss. He looked at the woman in front of him, constantly recalling her words just now.
Suddenly, he froze completely.
"You..." He reached out and touched Adeline's back, gently patting her. "Adeline?"
"Um?" The woman raised her head, looking at him with tearful confusion.
Sebastian was stunned as if struck by lightning.
Adeline.
And Bennett, Lauren, and that distant Blake.
How did he not think of the connections between them?
After tossing for half an hour, the drunken Adeline finally fell asleep under Sebastian's care.
Looking at her sleeping figure, Sebastian took a deep breath, picked up the phone, and walked to the balcony to call Blake. "I know your identities."
Adeline did not return to the hotel. After bidding farewell to Adeline, Jasper's first action upon returning to the hotel was to search for Adeline's whereabouts.
He inquired at the front desk and checked the surveillance. Indeed, Sebastian did not bring her back.
Jasper furrowed his brows and turned to Ryan. "Even if we have to turn this city upside down, we must find her!"
"Yes." Ryan nodded, about to leave, but was stopped by Stella.
"Jasper, there's no need to make such a big fuss about finding someone, right? Adeline was just drunk and taken away by Sebastian; she's not really missing," Stella remarked, her voice calm but firm.
She paused, taking a deep breath before approaching Jasper and gently taking his arm. "Besides, Sebastian said he's her boyfriend. If a couple gets drunk and stays out for the night, it's not a big deal."
Jasper narrowed his eyes. "He's not her boyfriend." The man's voice was low and indifferent, his tone decisive.
Stella chuckled. "But Jasper, if Sebastian isn't her boyfriend, why didn't Adeline vehemently refute when Sebastian claimed he was?"
Jasper glanced at her with a furrowed brow. "When you made Adeline drink, she didn't vehemently object either. Is she really willing to drink?"
Stella's face turned pale. She wanted to say something more, but Jasper interrupted her.
The man took a deep breath and added, "Regardless, Adeline is here on business with me. She got drunk for me. If anything happens to her tonight, I have an undeniable responsibility."
After speaking, the man coldly glanced at Ryan. "Aren't you going to find her?"
Ryan paused, then quickly left.
Stella gritted her teeth in frustration. "Jasper, you're so good to your employees..."
"Not good enough." Jasper's voice was cold. "If I were really good, she wouldn't have ended up drinking for me like this."
He then glanced lightly at Stella. "Tonight's events, I hope it's the last time. Remember, from now on, under no circumstances should you drink with outsiders and get our company employees drunk."
Stella obediently nodded, nuzzling her head affectionately against Jasper's chest. "I know I was wrong, I won't do it again..."
Only then did Jasper breathe a sigh of relief and turned to the bathroom.
Stella narrowed her eyes, then messaged Luna: [Search the whole city, find Adeline. She's drunk tonight, seize this opportunity.].
Luna: [She's here!].
Stella: [Go in, catch them!].
At midnight, Adeline was jolted awake. As she opened her eyes, she saw the dark moonlight surrounding her. In that instant, she realized she was being carried on Sebastian's back, running desperately.
There were footsteps close behind. She tugged at her hoarse throat, "Sebastian..."
"Don't speak." Sebastian's breath was unstable as he ran. "They're looking for you. Just now when I went downstairs to the hotel counter to buy something, I heard Jasper's men looking for you."
Adeline's mind swirled with confusion. She furrowed her brows, unable to comprehend the situation. "Jasper's men are looking for me... Why are we running?"
She got drunk for Jasper, she was an employee of Jasper's company. Perhaps Jasper was looking for her just to ensure her safety?
"They brought five or six male PRs," Sebastian's voice dripped with helplessness. "I don't know what Jasper is thinking. But they knew you were drunk and still brought five or six male PRs to find you... I feel like something's not right."
There was a momentary shutdown in Adeline's brain.
Five or six male PRs...
She was an adult, even if Sebastian didn't explain clearly, she knew what the other party intended to do.
Jasper actually took advantage of her drunkenness to insult her!
A chill shot straight to her head. Her originally muddled brain instantly cleared up.
Adeline bit her lip, reached out to grab Sebastian's shoulder, and said, "Put me down. I... can walk by myself."
"No need, we're almost at the main road," Sebastian said, taking a deep breath and said. "I've arranged for a friend to pick me up."
But what Sebastian didn't expect was that as soon as they reached the main road, a black BMW stopped on the other side of the main road.
Getting out of the car was Jasper's assistant, Ryan!
The footsteps behind them were getting closer, the group of people had caught up.
Sebastian felt trapped, caught between a rock and a hard place.
Looking at Sebastian and Adeline's pale faces, Ryan leaned against the car door and sneered, "Why are you running?"
