Chapter 510 Blake and Lauren Miss You

In Alice's shocked gaze, Adeline gracefully left Blue Bay with her handbag.

Before leaving, she made sure to stuff the things she bought at the pharmacy last night into her bag.

More than half an hour later, Adeline was already outside Jasper's office.

Taking a deep breath, Adeline steadied herself before knocking on Jasper's door.

"Come in." Jasper's deep voice called out after just a few knocks.

Adeline smirked as she walked in. "I heard from Lucia that you don't get a lot of our design draft this time?"

Jasper looked up at her with a blank expression.

He pointed to the chair in front of his desk. "Sit."

Adeline sat down with a touch of elegance. "I thought someone as sharp as you wouldn't struggle with my simple design. Guess I overestimated you."

Jasper narrowed his eyes, catching the sarcasm in her tone.

He raised an eyebrow. "Everyone has their strengths. Maybe I'm great at business, but design? Not so much."

He then pulled out Adeline's previous design plans and methodically pointed out his questions.

His questions made Adeline frown despite herself.

Even though Jasper claimed he didn't get design, every question he asked was spot on.

Adeline had expected him to find an excuse to see her and invite her to Emerald Crest Estate in the evening.

But she didn't expect Jasper to be this thorough. Even if he was just looking for a reason to interact with her, his questions were clear and precise.

These were questions Lucia really couldn't answer.

While impressed by Jasper's insight, Adeline seriously answered his questions.

As they talked, it was already lunchtime.

Ryan knocked and came in. "Jasper, shall we just order some takeout for lunch today?"

He stopped mid-sentence when he saw Adeline in the office with Jasper.

Ryan's eyes widened. When did Adeline get here?

Hearing Ryan's words, Adeline couldn't help but smile. "Didn't Jasper always have lunch with Luna? How come now he's down to ordering takeout?"

Then Adeline pretended to suddenly realize, "Oh, right. Mr. Foster couldn't bear to see Luna keep working, so he schemed to make her resign. Mr. Foster really has it tough. When Luna was working here, he worried she was too tired. Now that she's not, he has to eat takeout alone."

Adeline's words dripped with sarcasm.

Ryan, standing by, felt extremely uncomfortable. "Adeline, how can you say that about Mr. Foster? He clearly is..."

"Ryan." Jasper cut him off coolly, "No need to order lunch for me today."

Jasper stood up and grabbed his suit jacket. "I'll take Adeline out for lunch today."

With that, he walked over to Adeline.

Jasper raised an eyebrow and looked at her. "Miss Wilson, would you do me the honor?"

Adeline pursed her lips. Though she was reluctant, she was indeed hungry.

Adeline shrugged. "I guess I'll reluctantly agree. But, I'm not someone who can be easily satisfied with just any takeout."

She said this with a hint of pride in her voice.

Jasper was amused. He couldn't help but reach out and pat her shoulder. "Do you think I'd shortchange you?"

After saying that, he put on his jacket and strode out.

Adeline stood there, staring blankly at his back, with his affectionate words echoing in her ears. "Do you think I'd shortchange you?"

Her emotions began to surge.

Adeline thought, 'How many times has Jasper let me down? Since I met him, has he ever genuinely treated me well? Even just once. Has he?'

Jasper walked to the door and saw her still standing there, unable to help but frown. "Not coming?"

Adeline snapped back to reality. She took a deep breath and quickly caught up. "Coming."

Jasper took Adeline to Royal Elegance Dining, one of the best restaurants in Radiance Springs, known for its elegant environment and delicious food.

Adeline found it quite ironic that Jasper brought her here. The few times she had been here before were with Sebastian. Sebastian had even confessed to her here.

Jasper knew all of this. She didn't understand if he brought her here to respond to her earlier mockery or if he genuinely thought this place was suitable.

"Didn't you say you weren't easily satisfied?" Once inside the private room, Jasper directly pushed the menu handed over by the waiter to Adeline. "The cuisine at Royal Elegance Dining is sure to leave you thoroughly gratified."

Adeline let out a cold laugh, not dwelling on why he brought her here. After all, the food at Royal Elegance Dining was indeed not cheap. With such a good opportunity to make Jasper spend money, she wouldn't let it pass.

Thinking this, Adeline directly turned to the last page of the menu and started ordering based on the prices. "One Australian lobster, one king crab, and one Wagyu beef."

Jasper couldn't help but curl his lips as he listened to her order. "Aren't you afraid of getting sick?"

"Of course not." Adeline rolled her eyes. "Recently, with Blake and Lauren being absent, I've become quite haggard and lost some weight. I just want to replenish myself. What, feeling reluctant?"

Jasper helplessly smiled. "You should know, I wouldn't be stingy with this amount of money."

Jasper's words made Adeline purse her lips silently. After a while, she laughed self-deprecatingly. Yeah. She was really foolish. How could she think of using some expensive dishes to provoke Jasper? Jasper lacked money the least.

Adeline helplessly tugged at her lips. "Then just consider me as someone who hasn't seen much of the world."

Jasper curled his lips at her, not continuing to expose her little thoughts.

Soon, the luxurious meal Adeline ordered was served. Over the years, as a top designer, she had attended various luxurious banquets, but such a sumptuous meal was a first.

At first, Adeline pretended to be polite. But then she thought it was unnecessary. In front of Jasper, why should she be reserved?

Adeline didn't need to please him, nor did she need to care about Jasper's feelings or evaluations of her. Thinking this, Adeline began to eat.

Jasper sat across from her, watching Adeline eat without any reservations, a doting smile appearing on his lips. If he could, he would be willing to treat her to such a feast every day. Watching her eat freely and comfortably in front of him was actually a kind of enjoyment.

Soon, Adeline was full. But there was still more than half of the expensive meal left on the table.

Jasper didn't criticize her for wasting. "Did you enjoy it?"

Adeline nodded. "Spending money that's not my own brings me quite some joy."

Jasper curled his lips. "I can make sure you don't spend money and still be happy for dinner too."

Adeline squinted her eyes, knowing that Jasper was finally getting to the point. But she still had a faint smile on her face. "So, you want to treat me to dinner too?"

Jasper lightly tapped the table with his long fingers. "Sort of. I want to invite you to Emerald Crest Estate. Blake and Lauren miss you."
