Chapter 718 Don't Touch It at All

With a thunderous crash, the black Maserati plowed straight into the junkyard.

As the car tumbled through the rain-soaked garbage, the people in the pursuing vehicles quickly followed.

Just as the bodyguards reached the junkyard entrance, several black cars sped up and blocked their path.

The man who stepped out of the lead car was none other than Albert Sanchez, the most feared underground boss in Oceancrest City.

Albert opened the car door and sneered at the approaching men.

"This guy and this car are mine now. Go back and tell Brandon, if he wants him, he can come to me."

The bodyguards exchanged glances, knowing they couldn't afford to cross Albert, and retreated.

The black cars turned around and left.

Once the cars were out of sight, Albert finally exhaled and ordered his men to drag the unconscious man out of the car while he made a call.

"Mr. Phoebe, I've got your man. Where should I take him?"

On the other end of the line, Oliver stood by the second-floor window of the Phoebe Mansion, watching the heavy rain outside.

He sighed softly, "Take him to Swan Villa on the west side of Oceancrest City. Get the best doctors to check on him."

Oliver furrowed his brow, "The money I promised will be transferred to you in full. Make sure no one knows where he's being kept."

Albert chuckled, "Mr. Phoebe, you can count on me!"

He hung up and personally led his men into the junkyard to retrieve the unconscious Jasper, loading him into their car.

One of his men picked up a jade ring covered in grime from under the car, "Mr. Sanchez, this ring was under his car. Not sure if it fell from his car or if it was already in the junkyard."

Albert glanced at the chipped ring and frowned, "This ring..."

If he remembered correctly, Oliver had a similar one.

He took the ring, looked at it briefly, and then slipped it into Jasper's pocket, "It must have fallen from him."

Albert pondered, 'No wonder Oliver has to pay a high price to rescue him.'

At the Phoebe Mansion.

After hanging up, Oliver gracefully descended the stairs.

In the living room, Howard sat on the couch, fuming.

His wife, Zara Jenkins, was elegantly pouring him coffee.

"Howard, don't be so angry. Didn't the Phoebe family's stock just bounce back?"

Howard snorted, about to say something when he saw Oliver coming down the stairs.

Howard's anger flared even more when he saw Oliver.

"You still know how to come back to the Phoebe Mansion!"

Oliver smiled faintly and sat down gracefully across from Howard.

"As a member of the Phoebe family, why wouldn't I return to the Phoebe Mansion?"

Oliver elegantly took the coffee cup Zara handed him and took a sip, "The Phoebe family's crisis is mostly resolved now, isn't it?"

Howard's dissatisfaction grew, "We have Daisy to thank for that!"

He didn't know that Oliver was behind the Phoebe Group's recovery. He only knew that Daisy had assured him she would save the Phoebe Group from bankruptcy tonight.

So, when he heard the stock prices had risen and the Phoebe Group was safe, he naturally credited Daisy.

He was even more displeased seeing Oliver return only after Daisy had done all the work.

"If it weren't for Daisy, the Phoebe family would be bankrupt tonight!"

"Is that so?" Oliver raised an eyebrow and glanced at a servant, "Since Daisy did such a great job, why don't you bring her out to be rewarded?"

He placed the coffee cup on the table and casually fiddled with it, "But I remember Daisy isn't very knowledgeable about the stock market. How did she manage so well this time?"

Howard snorted, "Of course, Daisy found Lester, the company's stock market expert, and worked with him!"

He glanced at Oliver with a hint of helplessness, "You always said the Phoebe Group couldn't do without you. Now it seems Daisy isn't much worse than you!"

Oliver smiled and exclaimed, "Then bring Lester here too, and reward him generously."

Not long after Oliver spoke, Daisy came downstairs, led by a servant.

As soon as she saw Oliver sitting on the couch, a chill ran down her spine.

She knew it!

Oliver would never let her, the Phoebe family's fake daughter, off easily.

With tonight's events intercepted by Oliver, he would surely criticize her in front of Howard!

"Daisy, come down."

Zara smiled gently as she poured coffee for Oliver and noticed Daisy standing on the stairs, lost in thought.

"Your brother and father want to commend you for your actions tonight."

Daisy bit her lip and finally mustered the courage to come downstairs.

Zara warmly invited her to sit beside her, pouring her coffee and speaking softly.

"Although Daisy isn't related to us by blood, we've raised her as an heiress for over twenty years. In terms of character and ability, she's not lacking at all."

Oliver smiled faintly but said nothing.

Soon, Lester, drenched and shivering, was brought in by the servants.

Howard glanced at his soaked, trembling figure and frowned deeply, "What happened?"

"I had him tied up and left in the rain."

Joseph, wearing a red hoodie, a baseball cap, and sucking on a lollipop, slid down the stair railing and sat beside Oliver, putting his legs on Oliver's lap.

"Our family's stock market expert took a gun to a hotel to kill someone on the orders of our fake aunt! Luckily, I, the little detective, saw through their plan and stopped them in time. Otherwise, people would say the Phoebe family resorted to violence because we couldn't win the stock market battle!"

Joseph swung his legs and winked at Howard. "Grandpa, did I do the right thing?"

Howard's face darkened immediately. He glared at Lester, "Is what Joseph said true?"

Lester, trembling with fear, collapsed to the ground. "Yes... yes, Mr. Howard Phoebe. It was... it was Ms. Phoebe who told me to do it! I'm not a violent person..."

Lester's words made Daisy's face turn pale.

She hadn't expected Lester to beg for mercy so quickly. At this moment, Howard turned and saw Daisy's expression, understanding everything.

Howard glared at Daisy in anger. "You fool!"

Daisy bit her lip and lowered her head.

Zara looked at Howard with some sympathy, "Howard, don't be so harsh. Daisy..."

"She almost ruined the Phoebe family's reputation!" Howard was furious, "Even Joseph, a child, knows that business battles should be resolved through business. We can't resort to violence to solve this! Thank goodness Oliver and Joseph discovered this. Otherwise, where would the Phoebe family's dignity be?"

He glared coldly at Daisy. "I overestimated you. From now on, you are not to touch any of the Phoebe Group's matters!"
