Chapter 633 Apologizing in Person

Hidden behind the flower bed, Adeline listened as Molly's voice gradually grew distant, wondering who Molly was talking to on the phone.

Molly had said that six years ago, she could make Adeline doubt Jasper, and now she could make her hate him to death.

So, Jasper wasn't lying; everything that happened six years ago was all Molly's doing!

And now, Molly wanted to repeat history, making her die with hatred for Jasper.

The thought of Molly drugging her tonight, trying to poison her just like she did to Lily, sent chills down Adeline's spine.

She wanted to rush over and give Molly a good beating right now!

But Adeline knew she couldn't do that just yet.

First, she had no proof that Molly was framing her.

Second, Molly had just moved into Blue Bay in a flashy way. If she did anything to Molly now, it would be even harder to explain later.

Jasper was right; without solid evidence and a plan, they had to bide their time.

Even though she was boiling with anger, Adeline had to swallow her rage, act like she knew nothing, and wait for the right moment.

In the days that followed, Adeline was super careful with her food, using the medicine the doctor gave her to test everything she ate.

At every meal, one or two dishes would turn green after her test, so Adeline pretended to eat them.

Given how shameless Molly was, she wouldn't just poison one or two dishes per meal. So she realized that Molly probably didn't have much poison left.

Adeline stopped worrying about Molly poisoning Alice or other close staff and focused on her own tasks every day.

Soon, Molly started to be restless.

She angrily spoke into the phone, "Are you sure the poison you gave me is the same one the Phoebe family used on Lily back then? Didn't Lily get so poisoned within a month that she could barely stand?"

Standing in her room, looking out the floor-to-ceiling window at Adeline catching a cab to work, she continued, "It's been a month now, and she still looks healthy, with no signs of poisoning at all! What the hell is going on?"

An indifferent female voice came from the other end of the line.

"Why are you doubting me? We're sisters; would I lie to you? The poison I gave you was stolen from Grandpa. After poisoning Lily back then, there was only a little left, and I gave it all to you. Maybe you didn't control the dosage properly."

The woman's stern voice made Molly bite her lip hard, her voice even carrying a hint of tears.

"I'm really frustrated right now! Sebastian ran away, and Bennett ran away too. Even though I'm living in Blue Bay now, I can't even spend time with him alone. He is either surrounded by a bunch of secretaries or doctors every day Adeline leaves early and comes back late every day, either going to work, the hospital, or Lillehammer. I'm stuck in this villa every day, and besides poisoning Adeline, I can't do anything!"

She had thought that without Sebastian and Bennett, once she moved into Blue Bay, she could continue her plan.

But she didn't expect to end up being the one who was monitored by a bunch of staff and bodyguards!

The woman on the other end of the line paused for a moment, then laughed.

"If Adeline's been drinking the poison for half a month, the toxin should be building up nicely. You can wrap things up soon."

Molly hung up the phone in frustration, turned around, and flopped back on the bed, gloomily turning on the TV. Today's Radiance Springs news was on: "Rex Foster was released from prison this morning after serving a month for intentional injury. He stated that he would turn over a new leaf."

Seeing the news on TV, Molly's eyes lit up instantly. She jumped out of bed and quickly dialed Rex's number.

At the Foster Group's jewelry design department, as soon as work ended, Lucia poked her head through the crack in Adeline's office door.

"Adeline, everyone's going out for dinner and karaoke tonight. Are you coming? You've been busy for almost a month; you should relax a bit."

Adeline smiled and shook her head, "No, Bennett has a follow-up today. I need to see the results."

Lucia sighed and quietly withdrew her head.

Since Adeline returned to work, she had been either working or running to the hospital every day. Adeline didn't seem tired and enjoyed it, but Lucia was tired just watching her.

Soon, Adeline took a cab to the hospital.

"Mommy!" As soon as she walked in, she heard Bennett's clear voice.

Adeline smiled and saw Bennett standing by the bed with a small crutch, supported by a thin Sebastian on the other side.

"Kids recover quickly. Everyone said he would be bedridden for a long time with a fracture, but it's only been a little over a month, and he can stand up."

Adeline sighed, quickly walked over, picked Bennett up, and carefully placed him back on the bed.

"You still need to rest more; don't push yourself to stand. Bone recovery is very important."

Bennett pouted, looking all sad. "I just wanted to show you that I'm getting better."

Adeline sighed again, gently reached out to rub his newly grown short hair. "Mommy knows you're getting better, but you still need to rest."

Bennett pouted, "But I'm so bored. Black and Lauren are always with Lily and don't have time for me. I want to recover my memory soon."

"Don't rush." Adeline helplessly comforted Bennett for a while, then handed the dinner she brought to Sebastian and joined him for the meal.

While dining, Sebastian frowned, "It's been almost a month, and Molly still hasn't made a move?"

Adeline shrugged, "She's probably waiting for me to show signs of poisoning."

Unfortunately, she was going to be disappointed.

Just as Adeline breathed a sigh of relief and was about to chat with Sebastian about something else, her phone rang.

She frowned as she answered the call from an unknown number.

A deep male voice came from the other end, "Adeline, it's Rex. I've been released."

Adeline frowned, about to hang up, but then she heard him say, "I'm at Blue Bay. Grandma asked me to come here today to apologize to you and Jasper in person. When will you be back?"
