Chapter 761 Never Getting Better!
"What's there to disagree with?"
Brandon shot Dennis a cold smile, his eyes glinting with a frosty edge. "It was my cousin Randy's screw-up that caused the whole mess between Adeline and Jasper. It's only fair for Adeline to meet Jasper and clear things up. Besides..."
Brandon's gaze softened as he looked at Adeline.
"I trust Adeline."
"Since she agreed to be engaged to me, she's not just gonna up and leave me or Oceancrest City on a whim. So, why should I worry about her meeting Jasper?"
Adeline's brows furrowed slightly.
She felt a bit uneasy.
Adeline always believed that Brandon understood her character well.
Once she made a decision, she wouldn't regret it.
But Brandon's words clearly hinted that since she agreed to the engagement, she couldn't back out easily.
"Since you're okay with it, Brandon, I'll go with Mr. Gonzalez to Swan Villa now."
In a huff, Adeline stood up and walked over to Jasper, who was wearing a mask. "Lead the way."
Seeing her angry demeanor, Jasper's eyes crinkled with amusement, and he chuckled softly.
"Ms. Phoebe, this is the Phoebe Mansion. If anyone's leading the way, it should be you."
Jasper's words made Adeline pause. She pursed her lips and then led the way out.
Watching Adeline leave with Jasper, Dennis calmly packed up his medical kit. "Mr. Torres, since you claim the herb switch had nothing to do with you... I'll wait for Randy to come to the Phoebe Mansion to apologize and for the Torres family's decision on his punishment."
Brandon glanced at the servant who had been acting as a spy for the Torres family.
"I don't need this person anymore. Mr. Torres, take him back to the Torres Mansion."
With that, Dennis strode out.
Brandon, sitting in his wheelchair, watched the three of them leave, feeling something was off.
Dennis had brought two attendants to the Phoebe Mansion.
If one was a spy for the Torres family, used by Dennis against him... then the other should be Dennis's true confidant.
But now, that confidant was walking ahead with Adeline, while Dennis carried the medical kit himself.
Moreover, after discussing the route with Adeline, the servant left with her, not paying any attention to Dennis.
Even the medical kit in Dennis's hand was packed by Dennis himself!
The more Brandon thought about it, the more wrong it seemed.
He looked up at the distant figure exuding an air of cold nobility...
No, this person wasn't a servant!

He was... Jasper!
Realizing this, Brandon's mind raced through Adeline's reactions since this attendant entered with Dennis.
And the words the attendant said to Adeline about leading the way... That wasn't something a doctor's attendant would say to the daughter of the Phoebe family!
Those were words exchanged between familiar people, even lovers... Thinking of this, Brandon felt his head explode.
Jasper actually dared to sneak into the Phoebe Mansion!
Dennis and Adeline were covering for him, but Brandon wouldn't!
He wanted to see how Howard would react when he found out Jasper was in the Phoebe Mansion!
With that thought, Brandon quickly picked up his phone and sent a message to Daisy.
Just as he sent the message, Zara's calm voice came from afar.
"Brandon."
Brandon quickly put down his phone and looked up with a smile at Zara.
"Mrs. Phoebe."
Zara looked at him and sighed softly. "I know you've done a lot for Adeline over the years... But I can see that Adeline has no feelings for you."
Brandon's eyes darkened slightly.
Suppressing his emotions, he looked at Zara with a seemingly friendly smile. "Mrs. Phoebe, if Adeline doesn't like me, I can make her fall for me slowly."
"As long as I love her, that's enough."
Looking at the man in the wheelchair, Zara smiled helplessly and leaned back against the headboard. "But do you really love Adeline as much as you say?"
"I'm old and have seen a lot."
"I can tell if your feelings for Adeline are genuine or not."
"But my health is poor, and I can't influence Howard's decisions."
She closed her eyes and smiled. "If my health improves, I won't need Adeline by my side."
"Then... I'll let her leave the Phoebe family."
"I hope Mr. Torres can also let her go."
Zara's words made Brandon's eyes darken instantly.
He narrowed his eyes. "If Adeline wants freedom, I won't stop her."
With that, he turned his wheelchair and left.
As the door closed behind him, a flash of murderous intent crossed Brandon's eyes!
Since Zara said she'd let Adeline go once her health improved... then he would make sure her illness never got better!
In the front yard of the Phoebe Mansion.
Adeline led the way, walking briskly with Jasper following.
Everything went smoothly, and no one suspected Jasper's identity.
When they were about 10 feet from the gate, Adeline finally breathed a sigh of relief.
They were almost out!
Once they were through the gate, no one would know Jasper had sneaked into the Phoebe Mansion, and they'd be safe!
Thinking this, she quickened her pace and lowered her voice, "Hurry!"
Seeing Adeline anxiously leading the way, eager to get him out of the Phoebe Mansion, Jasper's lips curved slightly.
Although Adeline had been so cold to him yesterday, it was clear she still cared about him.
"Let's go."
Dennis walked up, gently patting Jasper's shoulder, and they walked out together.
As the three of them exited the Phoebe Mansion and headed to the parking lot, a red Ferrari pulled up at the gate.
Out stepped Daisy, wearing a pink dress.
She was adorned with luxurious jewelry, looking every bit the part of a wealthy socialite.
Daisy tucked her hair behind her ear and smiled as she approached.
"Dr. Gonzalez, what brings you here?"
Dennis frowned, handing the medical kit to Jasper, and smiled politely.
"I came to check on Mrs. Phoebe and give Adeline some prenatal medicine."
"Perfect timing."
Daisy smiled, eyeing Dennis and then the masked man in a white coat beside him.
"I haven't been feeling well lately. Dr. Gonzalez, would you mind coming in to check on me?"
Daisy's words made Adeline's breath catch.
She instinctively glanced at Jasper.
Jasper stood there, calm and composed.
Dennis smiled. "I'm afraid I can't. I have an urgent matter."
Daisy raised an eyebrow. "An urgent matter?"
"Dr. Gonzalez has time to check on Adeline and give her prenatal medicine but not to check on me?"
"Do you think Adeline is the new favorite of the Phoebe family and look down on me?"
