Chapter 639 Jasper's Private Jet
When Molly was waiting for Jasper outside his door, she happened to see Adeline coming out.
Adeline yawned and met Molly's smug gaze.
Adeline smirked, pretended not to see her, and walked straight past her towards the stairs.
As Adeline passed by, Molly squinted and reached out to stop her. "I was joking with you before. Of course, I know who the woman was that spent the night with Jasper last night."
Adeline raised an eyebrow and glanced at her, "Who was it?"
"It was me."
Molly chuckled softly, leaned into Adeline's ear, and whispered, "I was with Jasper last night, and we had a great time. Adeline, you can't beat me. Sooner or later, you'll have to take your three kids and get out of Radiance Springs!"
As she spoke, she suddenly seemed to think of something, "Maybe you won't even make it to the day you leave Radiance Springs."
Even though Adeline didn't drink the last bit of the drug last night, she had been drinking the slow-acting poison for a month. Sooner or later, she wouldn't be able to hold on.
Adeline's expression darkened as she glared at Molly. "How can you believe that after nearly killing me and Jasper's three children, you still stand a chance to become Mrs. Foster and that he would still desire you?"
Adeline's question made Molly burst into laughter, "Are you an idiot? If Jasper cared about you guys, he would be very angry if I kill you. But if he doesn't care about you, whether you're dead or alive, it doesn't compare to a woman he likes."
As she continued, her smugness grew increasingly apparent. "I know him well. Let me tell you something. Although I masterminded everything six years ago, and Jasper didn't have any involvement. When I hired Thomas to hit you with a car, I told him it was Jasper who hired him. Later, when Thomas saw the news about your death blowing up, he wanted to extort more money, so he went to Jasper. He asked Jasper for more money. Guess what happened?"
Molly whispered to Adeline, "Jasper gave him $500,000 to leave Radiance Springs overnight."
Adeline felt a chill run through her veins at those words. She clenched her fists at her sides, "Molly, at this point, you still want to lie to me. Do you think I'll fall for it?"
"I'm not lying." Molly smirked, "Isn't your friend Mia very capable? Why don't you ask her to check with the airline? Did Thomas leave Radiance Springs on Jasper's private jet six years ago?"
Seeing Adeline's expression change, Molly became even more smug. "Do you know why I think Jasper will accept me? It's because I understand him too well. For things that don't matter to him, even if he knows I was the one who messed them up, he'll just pretend he doesn't."
As soon as Molly finished speaking, Jasper's deep voice came from the bedroom. "Molly."
"Coming!"
After responding to Jasper, she gave Adeline a disdainful look and turned to enter the room.
Adeline stood there, feeling a chill down her spine. She tried hard to convince herself that Molly was lying. But she still couldn't convince herself.
Molly has no need to lie and claim she was the mastermind behind what happened to Adeline back then.
After all, she knew very well that Adeline had no evidence in this regard.
On the way from Blue Bay to the company, Adeline's mind was in turmoil.
When she arrived at the company and walked in, the employees in the office were unusually enthusiastic towards her.
"Good morning, Adeline!"
"Hello, Adeline!"
"Would you like some coffee, Adeline?"
As soon as Adeline walked in, everyone greeted her warmly, making her feel a bit overwhelmed.
In the past, the employees were polite and respectful to her, but never this enthusiastic.
Despite the discomfort, she still politely greeted her colleagues one by one.
Finally, she took a deep breath and returned to her office.
As soon as she opened the office door, she was instantly hit by the fragrance of vibrant red roses.
It was obvious that they were from Jasper.
However, the last time Jasper sent Adeline flowers, he was drunk. This time, he should be sober and put more thought into it.
Although there were many flowers, they were arranged neatly, and not a single flower interfered with her work.
Adeline walked to her desk, picked up the bouquet, and found a gift box beneath it.
When she opened the gift box, inside were two jewelry boxes and a marriage certificate that Jasper had previously kept in a safe.
One was the first piece of jewelry Adeline designed.
The other was the first piece of jewelry she made by hand.
Under the jewelry boxes was a card with a handwriting that read: [Returned to the rightful owner.]
Holding the two jewelry boxes and the marriage certificate, Adeline sat in her office with a mix of emotions.
Finally, she put these into a drawer.
After much hesitation, she finally picked up her phone and called Mia.
"Mia, I remember you have projects that cooperate with airlines and airports, right?"
On the other end of the line, Mia seemed to have just woken up, her voice carrying a hint of nasal sound, "Yes, what's the matter?"
Adeline paused before slowly speaking, "Can you help me check which flight Thomas took when he left Radiance Springs after hitting me with his car six years ago?"
It was better to clarify some things.
Mia on the other end of the line was silent for a moment, "Why do you suddenly want to investigate this?"
Adeline smiled, "I just want to confirm something."
Mia on the other end of the line took a deep breath, remained silent for a long time, and finally got out of bed, walked to the balcony.
Blowing the morning breeze and basking in the sun, she spoke softly, "Adeline, there's no need to investigate. I know the answer."
Adeline on this end of the line froze slightly, her heart feeling as if it were being lifted by an invisible force, filled with anxiety and unease.
"Don't forget, I was a journalist back then. I always had a way to investigate. After Thomas left, I employed various methods to obtain the flight records. The records revealed that he hadn't departed on a commercial flight; instead, he had left on Jasper's private jet."
