Chapter 666 The Foster Family's Child
Just as Brenda was peeking under the bed, Blake lunged forward and skillfully knocked the knife out of her hand.
Bennett calmly took the knife and pressed it against Brenda's waist.
Everything happened too quickly.
By the time Brenda realized what was happening, the knife she had used to threaten Bennett was now pressed against her own waist.
The sharp edge of the knife had even cut through her clothes, coldly pressing against her skin.
Brenda was instantly stunned.
"Raise your hands and stand up slowly." Blake commanded from behind.
She was so frightened by the two six-year-old children that she raised her hands and carefully stood up. Cold sweat was dripping from her forehead.
"Blake, Bennett, I am your grandmother. You can't treat me like this."
Bennett sneered, "When you were holding a knife to my neck, why didn't you say you were my grandmother?"
Brenda's face turned pale instantly.
Just as she was about to say something, the door to the room was kicked open from the outside.
When Jasper and Adeline rushed into the room, they saw Brenda being controlled by Blake and Bennett, with a knife.
Adeline, who had been worried all the way, finally breathed a long sigh of relief at the scene in front of her.
During this time, Bennett's amnesia, mistaking Molly for his biological mother, Blake and Lauren's near car accident, all these things had made her somewhat uncomfortable.
She almost forgot that although her two sons were only six years old, they were Jasper's—brave and resourceful.
One was already a genius little hacker at six, with meticulous logic and a delicate mind.
The other had taken on the responsibility of taking care of his families since he was sensible.
Such two little kids could still handle Brenda on their own.
Jasper frowned and called Ryan out towards the door.
Ryan quickly brought people in, took the knife from Bennett's hand, and restrained Brenda.
With her arms held behind her by two bodyguards, Brenda angrily bit her lip and glared at Jasper, then at Lily.
"What's the use of you living a few more years! Rex is still so young, can't you make a sacrifice?"
She gritted her teeth viciously, "Bitch, where did you hide the antidote?"
She had just searched through everything in the room, even under the bed where Blake had pretended to hide something!
Where on earth did she hide the antidote!
Leaning against the headboard, Lily's gentle gaze fell on Brenda.
"As I'm about to die, getting the antidote to live a few more years doesn't really mean much. Those who are poisoned still have a bright future ahead. As an elder, I should indeed make some sacrifices for the younger generation."
After saying that, she beckoned Lauren to come to her side.
Lauren, not understanding, ran to Lily with small steps, holding a small bottle, and looked up with her big eyes, smiling. "Great-grandmother!"
Seeing Lauren's cute appearance, Lily smiled and reached out to stroke her hair.
The scene made Jasper's brows furrow instantly.
He had a vague idea of what Lily was about to say.
That night at the Foster family mansion, Lauren had indeed drunk the poisoned water that Brenda had prepared for Lily.
Taking a deep breath, the pale-faced Lily held Lauren's hand and looked up at Brenda.
"Even if I were to give the antidote away, my choice would never be Rex. Lauren, at six years old, is already a genius jewelry designer. Her future is immeasurable."
Lily's smile was kind and gratified as she looked down at Lauren's small face.
"Did you like the milk I just gave you?"
Lauren quickly nodded, "Yes, it was delicious!"
Lily's words left everyone in the room, except for her and Lauren, speechless with shock.
Brenda stared at the empty bottle in Lauren's arms, her eyes wide!
If she remembered correctly, the liquid in the bottle Lauren was holding was given to her by Lily after Brenda had taken Bennett hostage and entered the room.
Lauren had drunk the milk right in front of her!
So the milk was the antidote!
The only antidote in the world had been drunk by her?
Boundless anger enveloped her, and Brenda desperately lunged towards Lily.
"Bitch! You should die now! Die!"
But no matter how strong she was, she couldn't overpower the two bodyguards holding her.
They held her tightly, preventing her from getting close to Lily.
Jasper looked at her with a complex expression, "Take her away."
Brenda cursed as she was dragged out by the bodyguards.
As she reached the door, Jasper frowned and glanced at her. "Where's Nathan?"
Brenda and Nathan had been inseparable since they returned to Radiance Springs.
Why was Brenda alone when she took Bennett hostage to get the antidote for Rex today?
Brenda paused, then looked up and sneered at Jasper.
"Of course, he's off doing something important!" She said, laughing maniacally, "Jasper, Rex will surpass you sooner or later! Just wait!"
Seeing her crazed state, Lily sighed and closed her eyes. "Take her away. I don't see her anymore."
Meanwhile.
On the sea under the Radiance Springs bridge.
Nathan was leading a dozen speedboats, searching the sea in a dragnet style.
The leader of the men in black arranged by Jasper stood beside Nathan, looking troubled.
"Mr. Nathan Foster, Mr. Jasper Foster ordered that no boats are allowed near the sea under the bridge for a day. You're making it difficult for me."
Nathan, issuing orders to the other speedboats via walkie-talkie, turned coldly to the leader.
"How dare you stop me? Besides, I'm looking for a woman carrying my son Rex's child! If the rescue is delayed, can you afford the consequences?"
