Chapter 181 Don't Like Him, Come On.
Bennett spent half an hour in the bedroom.
After half an hour, he came out of the bedroom and elegantly handed the phone to Adeline. "Alright, you can have Stella send someone to pick up that woman now."
Adeline furrowed her brow and took the phone, looking at Bennett with suspicion. "How could Jasper agree so easily to let her go?"
Bennett walked to the couch with a smile, changed his position, and lay down, swinging his legs in the air. "With a charming son like me asking him, how could he refuse?"
Adeline sighed helplessly, turned around, and called Stella from the balcony.
After Adeline's call went through, Bennett closed his eyes and sighed, saying to Lauren, "Is it too late for me to start learning hacking now?"
Lauren, who was bent over the drawing board, designing jewelry, looked up and gave Bennett a crazy look. "Being a hacker for Blake is as natural as being a designer for me because we both have talent."
"Bennett, you don't have this talent, so don't torture yourself!"
Bennett rolled his eyes and opened his eyes, looking at Lauren's face seriously. "But Jasper is starting to suspect."
He added, "He just asked me on the phone if I have any experience in computer programming. I asked him what happened, and he said he recently encountered a young hacker who should have something to do with us."
Bennett's words made Lauren pause.
She looked up and asked, "What should we do then?"
Bennett sighed. "I'm still thinking."
Blake and Jasper didn't have much intersection, but since Jasper has noticed, he will eventually want to investigate this matter.
And Blake's identity is so obvious.
If Blake's identity is exposed, Adeline's purpose of bringing them back to Denver will be revealed.
At that time, for the sake of Blake, no matter what conditions Jasper proposes, they can only reluctantly agree.
Bennett was aware that, as their older brother, Blake has a strong and fragile ego, especially after getting sick.
Blake would not allow Adeline to be so controlled by Jasper for him.
Bennett thought, 'At that time, Blake might give up on himself, right?'
As Bennett thought about it, he felt the burden on his shoulders grow even heavier.
After a long time, he glanced at Lauren. "How about we say that Blake taught me hacking?"
Lauren frowned and thought for a moment. "But will Dad believe it? You haven't shown any talent for hacking before."
Bennett said helplessly, "I'll start learning now!"
After finishing speaking, he went back to his room and called Blake on the simple communication device on his necklace. "Blake, teach me some basic hacking skills!"
At that moment, Blake was lying in a hospital bed, receiving an IV drip.
Upon hearing Bennett's words, he smiled faintly. "Jasper used to be a hacker, too. Even if you learn some basic hacking skills, he can see right through you in an instant. It's useless."
Feeling that his idea had been exposed, Bennett coughed lightly in embarrassment. "I am smart!"
"I know what you're worried about."
Blake looked up at the scenery outside the window and said indifferently, "I watched the entire press conference today. After Jasper and Stella divorced, will he fall for Mommy?"
Bennett said uncertainly, "Maybe he will."
Blake closed his eyes. "If only Jasper weren't such a scumbag."
...
At Denver Central Hospital, Stella glanced at the photos Diana had sent her on her phone and then at the weak Diana in front of her.
Diana's injuries and bruises were in the same places as Bennett's.
But Diana's injuries were much worse than Bennett's.
Stella coldly smiled and said, "Jasper's really cruel."
Jasper deliberately inflicted wounds on Diana in the same places as Bennett, first to vent his anger and secondly as a warning.
Stella thought, 'This man must seek revenge for even the smallest grudges.'
"Stella, it hurts me so much."
With her face wrapped in bandages, Diana sobbed, "Jasper is so handsome. Why does he do such cruel things? Stella, you have to help me seek revenge."
Stella rolled her eyes coldly. "No way."
If it weren't for fear that Diana couldn't handle Jasper's punishment, she wouldn't even bother with this foolish woman!
Her words made Diana's tears flow. "I did all of this for you! Now, Jasper has made me like this and wants me to leave Denver today. Otherwise, he will call the police and have me arrested."
After a pause, she added, "Stella, we grew up together. I became like this for you. You must help me."
Stella rolled her eyes again. "You did this for me? Did I ask you to? Idiot."
Yesterday, Diana secretly stopped Jasper and Adeline at the supermarket without informing Stella, which led to her identity being exposed as Stella's friend.
Stella hadn't had the chance to confront her about it yet, and now she had done something wrong again!
"Mr. Monroe really spoils you. It was a mistake for me to ask you to come to Denver in the first place."
Diana sniffed. "So, I'm just going to suffer for nothing?"
"For now, you just have to endure," Stella replied.
Taking a deep breath, Stella continued, "The convoy is arriving soon. You should head back to Las Vegas. It works out perfectly—I can use the excuse of taking you back home to make the trip with you."
She thought, 'Mr. Monroe was right. I really should go back and appease my family.'
'Otherwise, Jasper might go through with the divorce.
'Once we do get divorced, all the effort I put into transforming myself over six years would have been in vain.'
...
To take care of the two injured youngsters, Adeline prepared a lavish dinner that evening.
As they sat down at the dining table, just about to start eating, the doorbell rang.
Thinking it was Jasper, Lauren quickly jumped up from her chair. "I'll get it!"
She happily ran to the door and opened it.
Standing outside was an astonished Sebastian.
He stared at the girl before him in disbelief.
Sebastian thought, 'She's delicate and lovely, but her face is just too much like Jasper's!'
Lauren recognized Sebastian.
He was not chosen because he used to be Adeline's idol but because Lauren and Bennett had watched the morning press conference in its entirety.
Lauren thought, 'He's very attentive to my Mommy!'
She had been working hard to reunite her parents, so seeing Sebastian made her very unhappy.
"Are you looking for my mom for something? We're having dinner," she said, her expression mirroring Jasper's usual displeasure towards him.
Unable to resist, Sebastian chuckled at her unfriendly expression. "Well, if you're having dinner, then I've arrived just in time."
Lauren's expression soured. Just as she was about to refuse, Adeline appeared behind her.
With a light laugh, Adeline pulled the door open. "Since you're here, why don't you join us for dinner? Taste my cooking."
Sebastian smoothly entered the house and took a seat next to Bennett. "This meal looks delicious!"
Lauren rolled her eyes at him silently and followed Adeline back to the dining table.
The two women sat on one side and the two men on the other.
After eating a few bites unhappily, Lauren picked up her phone and discreetly snapped a photo of Sebastian eating next to Bennett. She then sent the picture to Jasper.
She also sent a message.
Lauren: ["I don't like him. Hurry over!"]
