Chapter 494 I'm Not Sick

Blake's words made everyone’s eyes pop wide open.

Adeline stumbled back, totally shocked, staring at Blake who was clinging to Jasper.

Blake looked even paler than when Ryan first brought him and Adeline here, and his voice was all raspy.

Blake hung his head, hugging Jasper's knees tight. You could still see the red marks on his wrists from the blood transfusion.

Clinging to Jasper's knees, Blake spoke in a pitiful voice, "Daddy, Mommy always goes nuts. She either says I'm not her kid or that Lauren shouldn't see me as her brother. She always abuses me at home when the nanny can't see."

As he spoke, Blake rolled up his sleeves, showing the bruises on his arms. "Daddy, look! These are from Mommy."

The more Blake talked, the more upset he got, tears streaming down his face. "Daddy, can you take me and my sister away from her? I can't live like this anymore. Have you thought about sending Mommy to a mental hospital? I want her to be nice to me and Lauren again. The way she is now is so scary!"

Blake's words left Jasper speechless for a long time.

Jasper looked down at the kid hugging him. Same face, same voice, same build. It was definitely Blake. But why would Blake say all this? Wasn't he the one who liked Adeline the most? Was it all just an act? Had Adeline really lost it because of everything that happened?

Luna gasped, "Oh my God, poor Blake!"

While Jasper and Adeline were still in shock, Luna smirked a little.

A moment later, Luna put on a shocked and pitying face, rushed over, and gently hugged Blake. "How could this happen?"

Blake, being hugged by Luna, frowned slightly and skillfully dodged her.

Blake pursed his lips and looked back at Adeline. "Mommy, I never got to say this before. You wouldn't let us see Daddy, and you wouldn't let Daddy see us. So I had to keep quiet. Now that I've finally seen Daddy, don't blame me for telling everything. I'm doing this for your own good. You really need treatment!"

Adeline bit her lip and looked down at Blake, who was holding Jasper.

This time, she noticed a lot of differences between him and Blake!

For one, Blake would never call Jasper Daddy.

For another, Blake's arms didn't have the bruises and marks this kid had; Blake had scratches from playing with Lauren in the backyard a few days ago! Blake's shoulder should have the "tattoo" Lauren drew with a black pen, but this kid didn't have it. This kid wasn't Blake!

Adeline's mind raced, and she remembered the photo Richard had given her earlier.

So this kid must be the one Richard saw being taken away by Molly that day!

Thinking of this, Adeline felt a chill run through her body.

She had been asking Mia to help her find Molly and this kid.

But now, this kid had replaced Blake and was standing in front of her, accusing her of being crazy! This had to be Molly's plan. It had to be!

Back then, even though Jasper knew Molly had done a lot of bad things, he still went easy on her because she was Adeline's younger sister and sent her to a psychiatric hospital.

As soon as this kid showed up, he started saying Adeline had mental issues and suggested Jasper send her to a mental hospital. It was clear he was out for revenge!

Thinking this, Adeline gritted her teeth and looked up at Jasper. "Don't be fooled. This kid isn't Blake!"

"If he's not Blake, then who is he?" Luna asked, holding the child in the striped hospital gown carefully. "Is there really someone else who looks exactly like Blake?"

Adeline squinted. "Why not?"

"Blake had a twin brother, Bennett. He..."

"But Bennett is already dead," Jasper cut her off coldly.

He looked down at the kid at his feet.

Bennett was dead. Only Blake looked like this now.

But Adeline was saying this kid wasn't Blake. Could she really be losing it?

Jasper sighed, squatted down, and carefully examined the bruises on the kid's arms. They were definitely from someone pinching him.

Jasper closed his eyes, struggling to breathe.

Even though he hadn't been to Blue Bay recently, he had people reporting to him daily. He knew who Blake interacted with. The servants wouldn't have hurt him, and he hardly left the villa. So who caused these injuries? The answer was obvious.

Jasper sighed, looking at Adeline with a pained expression. "How could you do this?"

Blake was just a six-year-old kid.

Even if Adeline was under a lot of pressure, hated Luna, and resented him, she had other ways to vent. Why make things hard for Blake? Why make such a young, recently recovered kid go through this?

Thinking this, Jasper took a deep breath, picked up Blake, and looked coldly at Adeline. "From today on, Blake and Lauren will live with me at Emerald Crest Estate. I'll send someone to pack their things and bring them over now."

Jasper took a deep breath, "As for you, I'll arrange for the best psychiatrist to test and treat you. If, as Blake said, you have serious mental issues, I'll return the kids to you once you're well."

Jasper's words made Luna frown. "Jasper, shouldn't Adeline be sent to a mental hospital? When she was choking me just now, I felt her mental state was a bit off."

Jasper was silent for a moment, then shook his head. "Not for now."

To him, Adeline seemed mostly normal. Maybe it was just the stress or anxiety causing her to have breakdowns.

But even so, Jasper couldn't leave the kids with her. Especially after seeing the bruises on Blake's arms, it was heartbreaking.

After speaking, Jasper prepared to leave with Blake in his arms.

Adeline bit her lip, Luna's earlier threat to take her kids away echoing in her ears.

She rushed at Jasper like a madwoman. "The kid in your arms isn't Blake! I never abused the kids! I'm not mentally ill; you are!"

Her state made Jasper even more convinced she was unstable.

Jasper sighed. "Adeline, I told you, I won't take the kids away forever. Once you're well..."

"I'm not sick!" Adeline gritted her teeth. "I said, I'm not sick!"

As soon as Adeline said this, Luna sighed sympathetically. "It seems Adeline is really very ill."

Adeline frowned and glared at her viciously. "Shut up! Don't make me pull out the proof that you're faking it!"
