Chapter 640 I Have No Other Choice
Mia's response sent a chill down Adeline's spine, making her feel as if her blood had turned to ice.
Her suspicion was correct.
Molly really wasn't lying.
On the other end of the phone, Mia took a deep breath, "I discovered that Thomas had taken Jasper's private jet when he left Radiance Springs. That revelation prompted me to resign from my journalism job and start an internship in the Foster Group's jewelry design department. You know the rest."
Mia closed her eyes and was silent for a while. It didn't feel good to bring up these past events again.
After a moment, she opened her eyes and spoke, "Actually, this matter has always been a question in my mind. I still haven't figured it out. If Molly was the only one who plotted against you back then, why did Thomas leave on Jasper's private jet? If Jasper was also involved in plotting against you, then why is he now acting like nothing happened and pursuing you again?"
Listening to her, Adeline gave a bitter smile, "Actually, there's another possibility."
It was what Molly told her this morning.
She continued, "Jasper wasn't involved in plotting against me back then, but he chose to turn a blind eye to what Molly did and even helped her handle the aftermath."
Thinking about this made Adeline's heart ache. Even the whole office full of red roses couldn't make her happy. She had been through so much.
Last night, she and Jasper had also expressed their feelings for each other.
Adeline knew she shouldn't doubt Jasper's actions anymore.
But she couldn't just act like nothing had happened.
"Adeline, calm down for a moment." Mia took a deep breath, "I don't think Jasper is that kind of person. As the person directly involved, you might not have a clear perspective. But I actually see it very clearly. Since Jasper has taken so many risks for you six years later. How could he have helped Thomas harm you six years ago? If it wasn't him, who else in the Foster family could have mobilized his private jet?"
Adeline was silent for a while, then closed her eyes, "Only Lily could do that."
Although the Foster family also had Nathan, besides Lily and Jasper.

"Got it." Adeline smiled helplessly and hung up the phone.

But in front of her closest friends, she had become more and more nagging.
After putting away the phone, Adeline composed herself and started working.
Not long after, someone knocked on her office door again.
Lucia walked in with a smile, closing the door behind her. "Adeline, I just heard from Scarlett that Mr. Foster came to work today. The company's executives are all excited. He has been on vacation for over a month and finally came back to work! Just now, the HR department asked us if we should send a representative from the jewelry design department to the president's office to greet him and take a photo with him. Everyone in our department thinks it should be you."
Lucia's words made Adeline raise an eyebrow, "Is that necessary?"
It was just Jasper coming back to work after his vacation. Was it really such a big deal?
Lucia gave her a reproachful look, "Of course, it's necessary! "I heard that in all the years Mr. Foster has been with the Foster Group; this is only the second time he's taken a month off. They say the last time he took a vacation was six years ago."
The words "six years ago" made Adeline's heart skip a beat.
This time, Jasper's vacation was because he got injured for her.

Then both of his vacations were because of her.
A workaholic taking two vacations for her clearly demonstrated her significance in his life.
Thinking of this, Adeline took a deep breath and put down the pen in her hand, "Then I guess I'll reluctantly go see him."
Lucia looked at her and smirked, "I have a feeling you two will announce your relationship soon."
Adeline adjusted her clothes and walked out, "You're overthinking it."
At least, until Lily's illness was cured, she and Jasper's relationship wouldn't be made public.
From the design department to the president's office, the elevator was filled with department heads.
"What do you think happened to Mr. Foster this time? In the past, whether it was a vacation or something else, he never formally asked people from various departments to visit him and take photos."
"I heard from the secretarial department that this bizarre request was made by Mr. Foster himself."
"Did Mr. Foster take a vacation and lose his mind?"
Standing in the corner, Adeline frowned.

As soon as Adeline entered the office, she was immediately hugged by Jasper, who pressed her against the door and kissed her repeatedly.
Jasper's kisses left Adeline breathless.
She pushed him away and frowned, "Weren't we supposed to come to greet you and take photos?"
"I had no choice." Jasper pressed her against the door, breathing heavily as he kissed her face and collarbone, "You won't let me make our relationship public, so I had to use this way to get you to come see me. We've been apart for three hours already."
His kisses made Adeline's mind go blank, and she even forgot the unpleasantness she felt from suspecting him of funding Thomas.
Facing him like this, she really couldn't bring herself to be angry.
After a while, she took a deep breath and whispered, "Jasper, it's been fifteen minutes. I need to go back."
But Jasper held her tightly in his arms, "I'm not done kissing you."
Adeline was helpless and was about to say something when someone knocked on the door behind her.
"Jasper, it's Molly. I brought you breakfast. Can I come in?"
