Chapter 396 Stay Away from Blake

Mia's words subtly made Adeline sense something was off.

Adeline thought, 'Isn't Mia the main character tonight? Why would Mia say she wants me to become the most dazzling woman in all of Radiance Springs?'

Lucia, on the other hand, didn't find anything wrong with Mia's words and even chimed in, "Yeah, if the main character tonight isn't you but Adeline, she would indeed become the most dazzling woman in all of Radiance Springs."

This was evident from the aura Adeline exuded.Mia smiled slightly and remained silent.

After they tidiedup their appearances, they took a car together to Crystal Heights Resort.

Upon arrival, they noticed that the original engagement photos had been replaced with solo photos of Mia in a wedding dress.

The congratulatory banners at the hotel had also changed from congratulating Mia and Thomas on their engagement to congratulating Mia on her new beginning.

They arrived at the hotel early, and Mia asked Adeline and Lucia to sit inside the venue while she went backstage to handle some matters.

Lucia settled onto the sofa, eating the small fruits and cakes on the table while looking around. "This venue is so luxuriously decorated. It's clear that Mia really liked Thomas before. What a pity."

Adeline nodded in agreement while fiddling with her phone, looking at the photos Alice had sent of Blake and Lauren having dinner. She remarked, "But it's lucky that Mia found out about Thomas's flaws before the wedding."

"Exactly," Lucia sighed. "If they had really gotten married and Mia accidentally had a child with Thomas, that would have been truly miserable."

Lucia stopped mid-sentence, realizing that Adeline, sitting in front of her, had also married a jerk and had children with him.

Thinking of this, Lucia bit her lip in regret and fell silent.

If not for the conversation, it would be hard to tell from Adeline's appearance and demeanor that she had two six-year-old children.

Adeline noticed all of Lucia's reactions. She smiled faintly as she spoke, "I am indeed quite unfortunate, but you don't have to worry about me being upset by the truth. If I couldn't face reality, I wouldn't have survived this long."

With that, Adeline stood up gracefully, intending to get some fresh air before the ceremony started.

Seeing her leave, Lucia quickly lifted her dress and followed, afraid that Adeline might be upset by her tactless words.

As they walked out of the venue and reached the hotel entrance, a black luxury car pulled up.The door opened, and Jason, got out first.

After Jason got out, the doormen hurried over to open the rear door.

In the back seat was Jasper, who was dressed in a white suit with gold trim.

As Jasper stepped out of the car, his arm was elegantly entwined with Luna's, who was donned in an identical white silk gown adorned with gold trim.

Their outfits were coordinated, their wristwatches were a matching pair, and they even wore matching rings.

"Why are they here too?" Lucia frowned, glancing at Jasper's attire, and couldn't help but snort. "Mr. Foster really goes out of his way to accommodate Luna. Tonight, Mr. Foster's clothes, watch, and accessories are not his usual style."

Adeline smiled faintly. She commented, "You can't blame it all on Luna. Maybe Jasper is deliberately trying to please her."

Suddenly, Adeline turned to walk back towards the venue, claiming, "I suddenly don't feel like getting fresh air anymore. Let's go back."

Lucia nodded in agreement. Just as they turned to leave, Luna's sweet voice called out from behind, "Ms. Wilson, Ms. Garcia?"

Luna broke free from Jasper's embrace and lifted her dress to catch up. "Is it really you?"

As she spoke, her eyes scrutinized every detail of Adeline's sapphire blue gown. She flattered, "Ms. Wilson, you look absolutely splendid! You are so beautiful and elegant. No wonder Ms. Garcia, Timothy, and Robert all want to protect you"

Luna pretended to be self-deprecating. "Unlike me. No matter how I dress up, I can't match Miss Wilson's elegance."

Lunasighed, forcing a smile. "But it's okay, Jasper doesn't mind."

She turned to look at Jasper, and asked, "Jasper, aren't you going to greet them? Ms. Wilson is also attending the ceremony tonight."

Jasper hesitated for a moment before finally walking over. He extended his hand to Adeline gracefully. "What a coincidence."

He knew Adeline would be here, so he came specifically for that reason.

Adeline glanced at Jasper's outstretched hand. She didn't take it but smiled and looked away. "It is quite a coincidence. This day, no matter where I go, I always see Mr. Foster and Ms. Jones being lovey-dovey. Those who know, understand it's a coincidence, while those who don't might think I'm stalking you."

Adeline mocked, looking at Jasper and Luna with a smile. "To avoid being an eyesore, I'll leave quickly."

With that, Adeline turned to leave. Luna narrowed her eyes slightly with an evil glint in her eye and then rushed forward to grab Adeline's wrist. Luna's grip was strong, and Adeline couldn't break free despite struggling.

Luna asked, "Ms. Wilson, are you still mad at Jasper?"

Luna's voice was tearful. "Don't take Jasper's previous words to heart. He just wanted to protect me and didn't mean to hurt you."

Then she turned to Jasper, urging, "Jasper, Ms. Wilson is still upset. Shouldn't you apologize?"

Jasper narrowed his eyes being annoyed but remained silent.

Adeline gasped sharply. Was Luna really going to be this unreasonable? She had been trying to avoid Luna. But Luna kept appearing wherever she went. How was she supposed to avoid her?

Adeline looked down at Luna's hand gripping her arm and demanded, "Let go."

Luna tightened her grip as she put on an act, "Ms. Wilson, if Jasper won't apologize, I'll apologize for him, okay? Don't be so harsh on me. We're colleagues now, and I want to be friends with you. Let's not make things so tense, okay?"

She even looked at Adeline with tearful eyes. She continued, "Besides, I really like you and Jasper's children. I want to be Blake's aunt."

Hearing Luna mention Blake, Adeline's anger flared.

What did she mean by this? Why would she mention about Blake now? Was it a threat or a provocation?

She bit her lip, trying her best to contain her anger. She warned sternly, "Ms. Jones, I advise you and your Mr. Foster to stay away from Blake. If he gets hurt, I can't guarantee what I'll do."

Luna's eyes darkened slightly, hellbent in provoking Adeline . She still held onto Adeline's arm, gripping even tighter. "Ms. Wilson, don't misunderstand my intentions. I mentioned about Blake because he is really adorable."

Adeline's wrist hurt from Luna's grip, and her words were infuriating. Finally, Adeline angrily shook Luna off. "Let go!"

With that, Luna fell lightly to the ground.

"Luna!" Jasper gasped as he rushed forward to catch Luna but was a step too late. Luna had fallen to the ground.
