Chapter 205 She is the Friend of South Master
Sebastian glared at Ryan, firmly shielding Adeline behind him. "Don't think I don't know what you guys are up to! Jasper looks decent, but what he does is really shameless!"
Ryan frowned, not understanding the meaning behind Sebastian's words for a moment.
Mr. Foster was just worried that Adeline would be taken advantage of by this Sebastian, so he asked him to come and take Adeline back to the hotel, just to have the company take care of her.
How was that shameless?
Ruining Sebastian's good deed was considered shameless?
Ryan sneered, "We just want Adeline to come back with us and be taken care of properly."
The man's words sent a chill down Adeline's spine.
Taken care of properly... With four or five male PR personnel?
She bit her lip tightly, and glanced back. The pursuers stood in the shadows of the alley behind them.
It was a dead end in front and back.
Adeline closed her eyes. She had been living too comfortably recently, forgetting who Jasper really was.
He was the man who, six years ago, had someone crash into Molly with a car to make her happy, and then kicked her into the sea!
Tonight, in front of him, she had slapped Stella hard twice.
He must be feeling sorry, right? Sorry enough to treat her like this.
The woman's heart grew colder and more desperate. How could she have fallen in love with such a ruthless man in the past?
"Adeline." Ryan saw that Adeline seemed to have regained her senses but still stood motionless behind Sebastian. Furrowing his brows, he continued, "I know you are a bit resistant to Mr. Foster's decision today, but he has no choice.
"Considering Ms. Foster's circumstances... well, they're undeniable. They haven't seen each other for six years, and now they are finally back together. He will definitely pamper and indulge Ms. Foster more.
"We've known each other for so long, you don't need to make things difficult for me. Come back with me."
Adeline's heart felt as cold as ice. She then took a deep breath and looked up at Ryan. "Since we've known each other for so long, can't you let me go?"
Ryan sighed. "Mr. Foster said that if I don't bring you back tonight, he will deduct my bonus."
Adeline coldly pursed her lips. "What if I don't go back? Are you going to knock me out and take me back?"
Ryan furrowed his brow. "I have that intention." As soon as he finished speaking, Ryan's vision darkened, and he collapsed limply.
The team Ryan brought with him instantly became chaotic.
Amidst the chaos, Tim lent his support to the fainting Ryan while Tom gestured towards Adeline, then swiftly moved to block the people behind them with his sturdy arms.
Adeline bit her lip, directly pulled Sebastian, and quickly crossed the convoy of Ryan's team, running non-stop into the distance.
In fact, when she was talking to Ryan just now, she had already exchanged glances with Tim and Tom.
Fortunately, there weren't many people with Ryan, except for the pursuers behind them. Besides Tim and Tom, there was only the driver and two bodyguards blocking their way.
Sebastian was pulled along by her as they ran. Under the streetlight, he watched her flowing hair in the wind and couldn't help but think of that afternoon many years ago.
The figure of the girl flying a kite.
He was really foolish. How did he not notice before that Adeline's figure was so similar to that girl's...
The two of them didn't know how far they had run when a black BMW stopped directly in front of them.
"Get in!" The face that appeared in the car was Linda's boyfriend, Zavier.
Adeline frowned, before she could speak, Sebastian directly opened the car door and pulled Adeline in. "Zavier is here to pick us up."
Time was pressing, and Adeline didn't have time to ask too much, so she followed Sebastian into the car.
Zavier took them to a villa area in the suburbs. "This is mine and Linda's house," he said. "Not many people live in the community; it's very safe."
Upon exiting the car, Zavier skillfully led Adeline and Sebastian into a brand new villa. "Linda heard someone was drunk and waiting at home," he remarked. With a cold glance at Adeline, he added, "I just didn't expect that the drunk friend Sebastian mentioned to be you."
Adeline smiled slightly. "I also didn't expect that the reliable friend Sebastian mentioned, who came to pick us up, would be you."
After that, she took a deep breath, turned around and walked away. "Thank you for helping us out of trouble. But I won't go to your home."
Although she and Linda were high school classmates, the image Linda held of her now wasn't just Adeline herself; but also a third party who stole Adeline's husband.
Adeline and Linda had met twice, and both times were not very pleasant.
Adeline had no intention of disturbing her again.
Sebastian frowned, and grabbed her wrist. "Besides, Jasper's men are still looking for you. If you go out now, what if they catch you? Let's go inside first."
Adeline hesitated for a moment, sighed, and followed Sebastian and Zavier into Linda's house.
They were right. Jasper's men wanted to take advantage of her being drunk to make a move on her.
Before dawn, if they caught her, even if she said she wasn't drunk, they wouldn't let her go, right?
Linda and Zavier's new house was a three-story small villa.
As Adeline was changing her shoes at the entrance, Linda, wearing an apron, hurried out of the kitchen. "Has South Master and his friend arrived?"
"Yes, they have," Zavier promptly responded.
The woman rushed up warmly. "Sebastian's friend..."
When she saw Adeline, the smile on the woman's face instantly disappeared.
She glared at Adeline coldly. "Why is this woman here?"
Zavier took off his coat and turned around. "She is Sebastian's friend."
Linda snorted. "It seems that Ms. Wilson is a professional. She first seduced a married man, stole my high school best friend's husband, and now she's casting her net on Sebastian?"
Adeline paused slightly. After a moment, she smiled lightly at Sebastian. "Do you know why now I didn't want to come?"
Sebastian hadn't expected that when Adeline and Linda met, it would be like this. He coughed lightly and shielded Adeline behind him. "Linda, don't speak like that, you will hurt Adeline's feelings."
Linda snorted and rolled her eyes at Adeline. "When she was stealing someone else's husband, why didn't she think that others would be hurt too?"
After speaking, she glanced at Sebastian. "Sebastian, you are a painter I greatly admire. When you said you wanted to find my high school classmate, Adeline, I was willing to help you, and that's how we became friends.
"But now, you're actually hanging out with Adeline's rival? If you want to be friends with her, I can't welcome you to my home."
Sebastian grabbed Adeline's wrist, smiled lightly at the corner of his lips. "Are you so sure that Stella is Adeline?"
