Chapter 599 The Most Convincing Evidence
Nathan's words made Jasper grin as he sat in his wheelchair.
He glanced up at the smug Nathan standing before him. "You think you're any better?"
Jasper leaned back in his wheelchair, a smirk on his face. "Ryan."
Ryan quickly got up and walked to the stage. He opened his laptop and started the projector that Bennett had set up earlier.
Soon, a bunch of text records and video clips appeared on the big screen.
Jasper smiled and slowly wheeled himself onto the stage.
For some reason, everyone felt that despite being in a wheelchair, he looked more like a king on his throne.
He rolled onto the stage and sneered at Nathan below. "Since Mr. Nathan Foster wants to teach a lesson to scumbags, saying the Foster family can't tolerate them, let's start from the beginning."
He smirked at Nathan. "My mom died giving birth to me, so I grew up without her.
"Mr. Nathan Foster, using the excuse that I caused my mom's death, has never taken care of me or acted like a father all these years.
"My grandparents raised me.
"All these years, I never wanted to dig into Mr. Nathan Foster's life. He said he was traveling the world, and I believed him.
"I've never been close to him, not like a normal father and son. He doesn't care about me, and I don't care about him."
Jasper's gaze suddenly turned icy. "Until recently, I got seriously ill and almost didn't make it.
"At that time, Mr. Nathan Foster probably thought I was going to die soon, and the Foster Group's assets couldn't go to someone else, so he hurriedly brought his current wife and son back.
"That's when I found out that my father, who always claimed to be traveling the world, had actually been with another woman for years and even had a son."
Jasper's words were cold and emotionless.
The three people mentioned all looked a bit awkward.
He opened the file, his gaze indifferent. "So I got curious about when this Brenda got involved with Mr. Foster. What happened next surprised me."
Jasper opened a few photos.
In the photos, a young Nathan was holding the young Brenda, smiling and taking pictures by the sea.
One photo after another, there was even a picture of Nathan kissing Brenda.
The last photo showed the date it was taken. It was thirty-two years ago.
Jasper smiled and looked at the crowd below. "Do you know how old I am this year? I'm thirty."
As soon as he said this, the whole room went nuts!
Could it be that Nathan was involved with Brenda even before Jasper was born?
Nathan's expression changed instantly.
Even Lily's eyes widened in shock.
All this time, she was just mad that Nathan had secretly married this woman named Brenda and had a son with her.
She never thought that Nathan had been with Brenda thirty-two years ago!
At that time, Jasper wasn't even born, and his mom hadn't even conceived him! Lily felt her blood pressure spike as anger bubbled up inside her.
Thirty-two years ago, wasn't that when Nathan and Patricia were at their happiest?
But the photos on the big screen were just a slap in the face!
There were older folks in the audience who remembered how great Nathan and Patricia's relationship was back then.
They were the golden couple of Radiance Springs!
They were always so in love until Patricia died giving birth. Nathan then stopped managing the Foster Group and supposedly traveled the world to mend his broken heart.
But now it was clear that instead of mending his heart, he had run off with Brenda.
The crowd started murmuring, overwhelmingly criticizing Nathan.
Nathan's family of three stood there, their faces getting red with embarrassment by the second.
Who would've thought that in just a few days, Jasper had dug up photos from thirty-two years ago!
And right now, the most panicked face belonged to Brenda. She bit her lip and instinctively took a few steps back.
If Jasper could dig up stuff from thirty-two years ago, could he also find out about Patricia's death?
Thinking of this, she looked pale with fear.
Seeing her reaction, Nathan pursed his lips and quickly put his arm around Brenda's shoulders.
The two of them watched Jasper on the stage, holding their breath, afraid he would mention Patricia's death at any moment.
But Rex couldn't keep quiet. "These photos don't prove anything.
"Jasper, didn't you also cheat on Adeline with Molly and get Molly pregnant?
"At least our father didn't try to kill his wife because of an affair like you did!"
The murmurs in the room suddenly stopped.
In the silence, someone softly said, "Actually, Patricia's death was pretty strange. She was always healthy, exercising every day during her pregnancy to ensure a safe delivery. But she died in the delivery room."
These words reignited the room's atmosphere.
Everyone began to quietly recall Patricia's pregnancy.
Nathan gritted his teeth and glared at Rex, filled with hatred but unable to shout at him.
He was afraid people would say he had a guilty conscience.
Sitting in his wheelchair, Jasper squinted at Nathan's and Brenda's reactions, already clear in his heart whether they had anything to do with his mother's death.
He just lacked the most crucial evidence.
The evidence he had wasn't enough to send both of them to prison.
But he was willing to wait.
He took a deep breath and turned to Rex,
"These pieces of evidence indeed can't prove that Nathan and Brenda killed my mother.
"But I brought these out just to tell you.
"If you want to accuse me of cheating and framing Adeline.
"Please bring out such evidence.
"Otherwise, I don't mind taking every slanderer here to court."
As soon as he said this, the murmurs in the room finally stopped.
Rex squinted, "You claim that only evidence can prove your infidelity. Then what about Liam? How do you explain this child? Isn't he the most compelling evidence of your affair?"
