Chapter 801 A Fatal Outcome is Best

The driver was still trying to process what Jasper had said when a middle-aged man and a woman holding a child stepped out of the RV in front of them.

Howard stormed over to their car, slamming his hand on the hood.

"Get out!"

The man was dressed in an expensive suit, and his face was unmistakable to anyone from Oceancrest City.

It was Howard, the chairman of the Phoebe Group!

The driver's face turned pale. "Mr. Foster, I think we've gotten ourselves into big trouble."

"They're the ones in trouble," Jasper replied, adjusting his cufflinks and smoothing out his black suit before gracefully stepping out of the car.

"Mr. Phoebe, why are you so angry?"

Howard had assumed the car belonged to some ordinary people. But when he saw the man in the black suit, exuding an air of arrogance and cold elegance, he realized it was Jasper's car.

His brows furrowed deeply. "Jasper? What are you doing here?"

Before Jasper could respond, Daisy, standing behind Howard, whispered urgently, "Dad, did you forget? This road leads to Adeline's cottage. Jasper must be heading there."

Howard's face darkened even more. His fists clenched tightly at his sides. "You dare go see Adeline? After what happened to her child because of you? You shouldn't be anywhere near her!"

Jasper leaned casually against the car door, a faint smile playing on his lips. "Visiting Adeline is none of your business, Mr. Phoebe."

"How is it not my business? Adeline is my daughter!" Howard glared at Jasper. "Since you came to Oceancrest City, you've been targeting me and my family. You've pushed the Phoebe family and my in-laws, the Torres family, to the brink! And now you have the nerve to come after my daughter?"

Jasper's smile widened. "Do you really consider Adeline your daughter, Mr. Phoebe?" He glanced coldly at Daisy and the child in her arms. "Adeline was pregnant, and you ignored her. She gave birth, and you stayed by Daisy's side. Adeline's child died, and before she could even recover, you brought Daisy and her child to flaunt in front of her."

Jasper's words made Howard's face flush with anger and shame. As much as he hated to admit it, Jasper was right.

Adeline's child was Jasper's, while Daisy's child was Brandon's. Howard had always favored Daisy. But that wasn't his fault! He had repeatedly told Adeline to abort the child, but she refused. If Adeline had been carrying Brandon's child, he would have treated her differently. It was all Jasper's fault, and now Jasper had the audacity to blame him?

Howard's eyes narrowed. "How I treat Adeline is a family matter. It's none of your concern!"

Jasper's smile turned icy. "True, your family matters are none of my business. But Adeline's well-being is."

Seeing Jasper's menacing look, Daisy clutched her child and stepped back, hiding behind Howard. "Dad, let's go. Jasper's look is terrifying. He had his driver ram our car, and now he's glaring at me like this."

Daisy's voice quivered as she continued, "I'm scared he'll hurt Patty. I feel for him and Adeline losing their child, but he can't take it out on Patty. Patty didn't take their child's place."

Howard's eyes narrowed further. He snorted, "Daisy, take Patty and get in the car."

Daisy bit her lip, casting a fearful glance at Jasper before getting into the car with Patty, sobbing.

Jasper watched her retreat, a mocking smile on his lips. What an act.

"Jasper," Howard took a deep breath, glaring at Jasper. "If you have any humanity left, don't even think about harming a child! Your child died because of your own misdeeds!"

Jasper's expression darkened, the air around them growing colder. He laughed coldly, then lunged forward, grabbing Howard by the collar and slamming him onto the car hood.

"Howard, I've let you off time and again because you're Adeline's father. Do you think I'm afraid of you? Your family killed my aunt Esther and my grandmother Lily. I haven't even begun to settle those scores!"

Jasper's eyes were filled with a murderous coldness. "You think my misdeeds caused my child's death? What about you? Did your misdeeds cause your brother's death and your wife's coma?"

Howard struggled to breathe, his face turning red. He glared at Jasper, each word a struggle. "Jasper!"

The driver, seeing Howard's distress, rushed over to pull Jasper away. "Mr. Foster, let him go! Don't cause a death!"

But Jasper, consumed by rage, didn't hear him. He tightened his grip on Howard's collar, his eyes blazing with fury.

The driver tried to pry Jasper's hands away, but couldn't. Desperate, he shouted towards the RV, "Help! Someone help!"

The RV driver moved to get out, but Daisy stopped him, elegantly crossing her legs and filming the scene with her phone.

A death? That would be perfect. If Howard died, the entire Phoebe family would belong to her and Brandon.
