Chapter 445 "Lucia is right."
As Amelia's words hung in the air, Lucia's eyes narrowed, and she stormed forward, landing a hard slap on Amelia's face.
Lucia glared down at her. "Adeline hurt her arm, and Mr. Foster was just helping her get to the hospital. Who the hell do you think you are, spreading crap about Ms. Wilson and Mr. Foster? Not only does Mr. Foster have a girlfriend now, but even if he didn't, he wouldn't mess around with a subordinate like Adeline. That's CEO 101! By talking like this, you're not just insulting Adeline but also Mr. Foster. How dare you!"
Amelia was left reeling from the slap, and Lucia's tirade left her even more confused. It was clear Lucia was chewing her out, but it felt like every word was also a dig at Jasper.
Jasper, holding Adeline, stood in the elevator with a dark look. "Let's go."
Lucia took a deep breath and shot Amelia another glare. "I'm rushing Adeline to the hospital, or I wouldn't let you off so easy today!"
With that, she turned and stepped into the elevator.
As the doors closed, Adeline shut her eyes and whispered, "Thank you."
Lucia got what Adeline meant.
Her heart ached. "Robert and Timothy aren't around. If they were..."
Jasper, however, scoffed. "What difference would it make if they were?"
Soon, the elevator arrived. Jasper shot Lucia a cold look. "Take the afternoon off."
With that, he walked away with Adeline in his arms.
Standing at the elevator entrance, Lucia watched them go, silently biting her lip.
Upstairs.
Amelia's face was still stinging from Lucia's slap.
She couldn't swallow her anger and immediately pulled out her phone to call Luna. "Luna!"
As soon as the call connected, Amelia started wailing. "Do you know what I just saw? I saw Mr. Foster carrying Adeline into the elevator!"
Luna was silent on the other end.
After a moment, she spoke in a cold, icy voice. "And then?"
Seeing Luna's interest, Amelia quickly spiced up her story. "When I saw Mr. Foster carrying Adeline, I was so upset. How could your boyfriendcarry her? I stopped them and asked himwhy ."
Amelia sobbed as she spoke. "And guess what happened next? Lucia came out of nowhere, slapped me, and told me to stop spreading rumors. She said Adeline was hurt, and Mr. Foster was just taking her to the hospital. Luna, how is that possible?"
Amelia thought that by retelling the incident to Luna with a pitiful tone, Luna would be on her side, given their bond over the past few months.
But Luna said, "Lucia is right."
Luna's voice on the other end was as cold as a winter chill. "Jasper carrying Adeline must be because she was hurt, and he was just taking her to the hospital. End of story. You deserved that slap for talking trash. If any rumors about Adeline and Jasper start flying around the company because of this, I'll hold you personally responsible."
With that, Luna hung up.
Amelia was left speechless. What the hell? Luna was actually siding with Adeline and Lucia!
After hanging up, Luna angrily chucked her phone against the wall.
Even though she had chewed out Amelia on the phone, she knew exactly what Jasper was up to by carrying Adeline.
After drinking, Jasper had gone to Adeline. Now he was carrying her out of the company. She was sure they were up to something!
Thinking about it made Luna's blood boil.
She bit her lip hard, her eyes locked on the phone lying on the ground. One day, she would take everything from Adeline!
Hearing the sound of Luna smashing her phone, the servants in the mansion rushed in to check on her.
One of them handed the phone back to Luna.
Luna frowned, picked it up, and was about to throw it against the wall again when she accidentally saw a message in the work group chat.
The group was the Foster Group's team preparing for the International Jewelry Competition.
This was a group Adeline and Robert had set up in the meeting room that morning to keep everyone in the loop.
At that moment, Robert and Timothy were having a heated discussion about a proposal in the group.
Luna narrowed her eyes.
If she remembered right, this so-called international jewelry competition had always been held abroad and had never been planned to take place in Radiance Springs.
It was Jasper who wanted Adeline to win a world championship in front of him and make more money, so he had pulled some strings with the competition organizers.
Luna didn't know how much cash Jasper had thrown around to bring the organizers from Euroniato Radiance Springs.
But what she did know was that she was burning with jealousy and resentment. She was jealous of Adeline's beauty and Jasper's unwavering devotion to her. She hated that Adeline was so stunning, making her feel overshadowed every time they were together.
Luna sneered. Jasper was pampering Adeline, even organizing an international jewelry competition for her? Then she would find a way to make Adeline lose face at this international jewelry competition!

Jasper got out of the car and carried Adeline in his arms, kicking the door open.
Once inside, Adeline let out a long breath and glared angrily at Jasper. "Jasper, have you had enough? Let me go!"
As she scolded him, her face flushed with anger, adding a touch of cuteness to her otherwise composed and cold demeanor. Seeing Adeline like this, Jasper felt a thrill.
In the end, amidst Adeline's struggles and curses, Jasper pinned her down on the sofa and pressed himself against her.
