Chapter 723 The Ring Has Finally Been Found

"Joseph?"

Nova waited for a response, but the silence on the other end of the line was deafening. She couldn't help but ask, "What should I do with this jade ring now?"

Joseph rubbed his temples, trying to piece together how Mia's jade ring ended up with Jasper. It was best to return it to its rightful owner.

Taking a deep breath, Joseph said, "Nova, don't make a big deal out of it. Clean the jade ring, spritz a little perfume on it, and quietly put it in my dad's desk drawer."

"Got it."

Nova hung up, took the jade ring to the bathroom to clean it, and then stepped out.

As soon as she walked out, she bumped into her father, Dennis.

Dennis glanced at the jade ring in Nova's hand and shook his head, "You're messing with Oliver's stuff again? This is something he really cares about. What if you break it?"

He took the ring from her, intending to return it to Oliver's study, but then he noticed a small chip missing from the ring.

Frowning, Dennis held the ring up to the light and saw something hidden inside it. It looked like a chip.

Dennis, after warning Nova not to mess with Joseph again, quietly placed the ring back in Oliver's drawer.

He thought, 'No wonder he's been so attached to it all these years. Not only is it a keepsake from his mother, but it also hides another secret.'

After placing the ring back in Oliver's study, Dennis sent Oliver a message, letting him know the jade ring had been found.

Receiving the message, Oliver frowned, put his phone away, and walked over to Jasper. Standing beside him, he glanced up at the second-floor window of the mansion.

The silhouette behind the curtain was so obvious. Only Adeline and Jasper were fooling themselves, thinking the other couldn't see them.

He sighed, looked back at Jasper, and said, "Let's go. It's time. If we wait any longer, the night assassins will be out, and it'll be harder for me to protect you."

Jasper nodded slightly, handed a voice recorder to a servant, and said, "I'll send people to Oceancrest City."

"I advise you to drop that idea." Oliver pulled Joseph into the car. "The Foster Group has been lying low in Oceancrest City. Most people there still think you're dead. If you suddenly bring in a large force, it will expose the fact that you're still alive to the Torres family and the Phoebe family."

"How absurd! Do you really think that with your power you can shake the foundations that the two major families of Oceancrest City have built over the past twenty years?"

Oliver shut the door. "I've seen your records. You took over the Foster family at seventeen. You're a genius with strategy. I believe that given time, you won't be hunted like this anymore."

He glanced up at the second floor of the mansion. "But right now, don't you have other things to worry about?"

Jasper paused and fell silent.

Right now, the most important thing was Adeline.

So, until Adeline truly forgave him, he shouldn't alert Brandon and Daisy.

He needed to protect himself so he could quickly take Adeline away from the chaos of Oceancrest City.

Upstairs.

Adeline watched as Oliver and Jasper's car became two black dots in the distance before she turned away.

"Miss Wilson."

A servant knocked and entered, handing her the voice recorder Jasper had been holding.

Adeline frowned and turned it on.

Then Jasper's voice slowly echoed. "I came to find you as soon as I woke up. There are people everywhere trying to kill me. It's really hard to see you. I'll come to find you every day until you agree to see me. If one day I don't come, it means I was killed by an assassin on the way."

Listening to Jasper's voice, Adeline rubbed her temples in exasperation.

Assassins? Being hunted?

Jasper would make up any lie just to see her.

His enemies in Radiance Springs were none other than the Phoebe family and the Torres family.

The Phoebe family was out of the question. Oliver had just been talking to him and left together, so they wouldn't be after him.

And the Torres family?

After deciding to postpone the engagement, Adeline had contacted Brandon.

During their video call, Brandon had not only agreed to her request but also apologized, saying the engagement was his oversight and he was willing to wait for her decision.

Moreover, Brandon had offered to help find Jasper, suggesting they all meet to discuss the marriage to avoid another incident like the engagement day.

Both prominent families declared they would not target Jasper.

Adeline couldn't think of anyone else in Oceancrest City who would send assassins after Jasper.

"I think he's sincerely apologizing. Maybe he's just using this lie to make you worry about him," Mia said during dinner, noticing Adeline's troubled expression.

Adeline shook her head.

This wasn't a small mistake.

At this point, Jasper still wasn't being honest with her, using lies about assassins to deceive her.

What did she mean to him?

First, he put her behind his revenge, then regretted it at the engagement ceremony.

Now, he was playing these little tricks. She was really tired.

When would Jasper understand what she truly cared about?

Mia pouted and said no more.

After dinner, Adeline took her usual walk along the garden path behind Magnolia Estate.

Although she was only a month pregnant, she felt this baby was stronger, perhaps due to her psychological state.

She believed this baby would be healthier than his siblings.

When she was pregnant with her three kids, her health was poor, leading to weak children except for Bennett.

This time, she was determined to take good care of herself and ensure this baby didn't go through what his siblings did.

After her walk, Adeline lay down to rest, and her phone buzzed with a message.

It was from Brandon.

He sent a photo of a jade ring: [Adeline, after all this time, the ring has finally been found. Shall we meet, or should I come to you?]
