Chapter 357 Isn't It Chaotic Enough Already?

The Foster mansion.

Lily sat in the yard, holding a lollipop in one hand and a teddy bear in the other, trying to cheer up Lauren.

"Come on, smile!" Lily said.

Lauren, in her pink princess dress, sat on the lawn, struggling to smile but failing miserably.

Nathan frowned. "Mom, don't push her."

"The doctor said her issues are due to low dopamine. She can't just laugh on command."

Nathan glanced at Alice, waiting nearby. "Take Lauren inside and make sure she takes her meds."

Alice nodded, carefully picked up Lauren, and headed back to the house.

Lily sighed. "I never liked that Bennett kid, but I didn't think he'd die at six."

"And poor Lauren saw the whole explosion."

"She's only six, watching her brother get blown up. How could she not be traumatized?"

"How could Stella do that to her own child?"

Nathan sighed, patting Lily's shoulder. "There's no point in dwelling on it. Let's just move on."

"We need to take care of Lauren and treat Blake," Nathan said.

He narrowed his eyes. "We can't let Jasper get close to Adeline, and definitely not marry her."

Harper took a deep breath. "Can we really stop it?"

She had realized over time that they couldn't control Jasper.

When they forced him to marry Evelyn, he brought Adeline home instead.

After Adeline's accident, they forbade him from being with Molly, but he still made Molly his fiancée.

Later, when they finally accepted Molly, he sent her abroad.

Now, if Jasper really wanted to be with Adeline, would their opposition matter?

"Even if we can't stop it, we have to try." Nathan's eyes flashed with hatred.

"Stella committed suicide because of her, Bennett died because of her, and Lauren has depression because of her," Nathan said.

"The Fosters would be in chaos if Adeline and Jasper got together."

Lily sighed and shook her head. "Isn't it chaotic enough already?"

She stood up, leaning on her cane, and slowly walked into the house.

Nathan sat on the stone bench, watching Lily leave. His eyes seemed to look past her, into the distance. Stella's words from their last meeting echoed in his ears.

"Nathan, I am actually Evelyn. You have to help me!"

"I became like this for Jasper. I must be with Jasper. I have no other pursuit in this life; I only want Jasper."

At that time, Nathan had promised Stella he would help and protect her.

But in the end, she still committed suicide.

He felt guilty for failing his friend's trust and his own promise.

Now, the only thing he could do was prevent Adeline from entering the Foster family!

A black Maserati pulled up at the gate of the Foster mansion.

The gate opened, and Jasper, dressed in black, stormed in.

Nathan snapped out of his thoughts, stood up, and turned to Jasper. "Why are you back now? Lauren just fell asleep."

Jasper sneered, sitting down on the stone bench opposite Nathan, his eyes cold. "I'm not here for Lauren. I'm here to see you, Father."

Jasper's icy tone made Nathan frown slightly.

He smirked and sat back down. "You have something to discuss?"

"Of course," Jasper replied.

Jasper pulled a photo from his pocket and placed it on the table. "Mr. Foster, do you recognize this person?"

Nathan glanced at the photo; it was Thomas.

He frowned and hesitated. "I vaguely remember, but I can't place him."

"You can't remember?" Jasper asked.

Jasper sneered, "Let me remind you, Dad."

"This man, Thomas, was suspected of trying to kill Adeline. I had him confined in a mental hospital, planning to deal with him later."

"But over a month ago, you went to the hospital yourself, found the person in charge, and said I sent you to release him."

"Do you remember?"

Jasper's voice was laced with anger.

Nathan narrowed his eyes slightly.

"So, you're here to accuse me today?"

He snorted, placing the photo back on the table, crossing his arms. "Yes, I released him at Stella's request."

"Stella said he was her friend, but because your relationship with Stella is strained, she asked me to go instead."

He snorted again. "Did he commit a crime?"

"He didn't commit any crimes," Jasper said.

Jasper snorted, crossing his arms. "But Nathan, it seems you have a better relationship with Stella than with me?"

Nathan snorted. "Naturally."

"Stella gave birth to three children for the Foster family. She deserves some credit."

"Since you knoe my child's mother deserves credit for all she's done."

Jasper's eyes were cold and sharp. "Then why did you help Stella against Adeline?"

His words made Nathan frown. "I helped the Foster family's real daughter-in-law against a mistress. Is that wrong?"

"Really?" Jasper snorted, throwing a stack of documents in front of Nathan. "When I married Adeline, you were so angry that I didn't marry Evelyn that you left Radiance Springs for years."

"You've always hated Adeline. Why did you support her when she became Stella?"

"You not only helped Stella release Thomas but also bribed the Foster family's bodyguards to follow Stella's orders."

"Are you really helping the daughter-in-law against the mistress, or are you helping Evelyn, who wants to be a mistress, against the real daughter-in-law?"

Nathan narrowed his eyes slightly.

Jasper was always meticulous, never making accusations lightly.

For Jasper to speak so confidently now meant he had evidence of Stella's true identity.

Nathan's gaze turned cold as he looked at Jasper. "What do you think?"
