Chapter 492 You've Got the Wrong Person

Adeline snorted and got up to leave.

Jasper frowned and grabbed her wrist just in time. "Where are you going?"

Adeline shot back, "I have nothing to say to your Ms. Jones."

She shook off Jasper's hand. "At first, I didn't get it. Radiance Springs is huge, and you're one of the top dogs. Why would you need a kid like Blake to donate blood for your Ms. Jones? Now I get it. It's because Blake is my kid, right?"

Adeline's cold voice cut through Jasper like a knife. "Luna's car accident happened because you fought with her, so now you have to make it up to her. You force my son to donate blood to her just to show you don't care about me, only her, right? Jasper, you're not fit to be a man, let alone a father!"

Jasper's face darkened, but he didn't explain. "If that's what you think, then fine."

"Jasper." A weak voice came from the hospital room behind them, sounding like it could fade away any second. "Can you get me some fruit? Blake will need some nutrition after donating blood."

Adeline frowned and turned around. She saw Luna standing by the door, looking frail and thin, like a gust of wind could knock her over.

Jasper turned around too. The moment he saw Luna, his brows furrowed, and he rushed over to support her. "What are you doing out here?"

"I..." Luna bit her lip, her voice weak and pitiful. "I heard you and Adeline arguing. She misunderstands you so much; you don't explain. I got anxious, so I came out."

"Go back inside." Jasper frowned and gently carried Luna back to the bed, laying her down softly. "Rest up. The blood pack is coming soon, and you'll get better quickly. Don't move around."

Luna bit her lip and nodded gently. "Okay, I'll listen to you."

After saying that, she took advantage of Jasper's inattention to give Adeline a provocative look.

Adeline narrowed her eyes and sneered.

At that moment, Jasper walked out the door. "Luna said she wants to talk to you. Just chat with her for a bit. I'm going to buy some fruit for Blake."

After saying that, Jasper pushed Adeline into the hospital room and closed the door.

Adeline stood by the door, while Luna leaned against the headboard. They stared at each other in silence.

It wasn't until Jasper's footsteps faded away down the hallway, and there was no more sound of movement, that Luna smiled faintly. "I thought you wouldn't come."

Adeline sneered. "Jasper would even kidnap Blake to donate blood for you. How could I not come?"

Luna curled her lips, lowering her head to fiddle with her hair, her face devoid of the vulnerability she had shown in front of Jasper earlier. Now, Luna was as charming and arrogant as a venomous snake.

Luna sighed. "Actually, I told him a long time ago that even though Blake's blood type matches mine, we shouldn't use a child's blood. Who knows if your child's blood carries the same genes that make me unhappy?"

Luna chuckled. "But Jasper said it doesn't matter. Blake is your son, but he's also his. Even though Jasper's blood type doesn't match mine, Blake's does. So, Jasper took it upon himself to insist that Blake come to the hospital to donate blood to me. Jasper also said that since Blake is his son, it's like he's donating blood to me himself, so I shouldn't be mad at him anymore."

After saying all this, Luna looked up and gave Adeline a helpless smile. "Isn't he childish?"

Luna's words made Adeline's hands silently clench into fists at her sides.

As expected, she nailed it. Jasper had Blake donate blood to Luna just to keep her happy!

Seeing that her words had hit home, Luna got even more smug.

Luna sighed and looked at Adeline with fake pity. "I told you this morning to pack up and leave Radiance Springs ASAP. But you didn't listen, and now, is this the result you wanted to see?"

Adeline's eyes narrowed slightly. "So, you did it on purpose."

Luna shrugged. "Whether it was on purpose or not, Jasper dotes on me."

Luna smiled triumphantly. "Adeline, I advise you to leave early. Don't think staying in this city a few more days will change anything."

Luna narrowed her eyes, "And besides, the longer you stay in Radiance Springs, the more likely I am to get hurt and lose blood. If that happens, and Blake has to donate blood every time, won't you be heartbroken?"

Adeline closed her eyes. She got it now. The phone call from Luna this morning was her final warning.

Adeline's decision to finish her business before leaving Radiance Springs made Luna feel threatened.

So, Luna had a fight with Jasper and deliberately got into a car accident to make Jasper please her by drawing Blake's blood to treat her.

Thinking of this, Adeline glared at her, gritting her teeth. "I told you, I'm not interested in Jasper anymore!"

"Really?" Luna raised an eyebrow, "Not interested, but you called him when you were drunk and asked him to pick you up? And you even touched his chin when he carried you out of the hotel. Adeline, don't think I don't know what you've been doing behind my back!"

Luna glared at Adeline, her eyebrows raised sharply. "Today is my final warning to you! If you don't leave Radiance Springs within three days, I can't guarantee whether the next accident will happen to me, or to you and your three children!"

Luna's words made Adeline's breath catch. It seemed Vikram wasn't lying to her.

Adeline looked at Luna and sneered. "Aren't you afraid I'll tell Jasper about you faking your illness?"

Although Jasper doted on Luna without limits, it was mostly because of her so-called terminal illness.

If Jasper knew Luna's terminal illness was fake, would he still protect her like this?

When Adeline mentioned faking the illness, Luna's face instantly turned pale. She narrowed her eyes. "You wouldn't dare!"

Adeline smiled. "Ms. Jones, are you scared? Is Ms. Jones's terminal illness really faked?"

Luna paused, realizing she had lost her composure.

Luna sneered. "Who said I was faking it? Adeline, don't go around making baseless accusations. My illness was diagnosed by the internationally renowned Dr. Smith and his team. Who are you to question it?"

The small garden behind the hospital.

Vikram, who had bought milk and fruit, sat on a bench by the flower bed, fiddling with his phone.

Vikram didn't dare go upstairs, afraid of encountering a scene of conflict.

But he was also very curious about the outcome, so Vikram anxiously calculated the time, waiting to go upstairs and catch some gossip.

After looking at his phone for a long time, his back started to ache. Vikram put away his phone and straightened up, stretching his back, when he saw a boy in a striped hospital gown walking past him.

Vikram's eyes widened instantly. Blake? Wasn't he supposed to be upstairs donating blood? How did he end up in the garden?

So, Vikram quickly caught up and grabbed the boy's arm. "Finished donating blood so quickly? Why are you down here by yourself? Where's your mom?"

The boy frowned, glanced at Vikram's hand on his shoulder, and forcefully pulled it away. "You've got the wrong person."
