Jasper narrowed his eyes and gave Adeline a cold look. "There's no need to be so harsh in your words."

He looked at the emcee, "Let the banquet continue. I will leave first."
The emcee approached with trepidation, accepting the microphone, "Alright... let's carry on..."
Standing on the stage, Adeline clenched her lips tightly.
She never expected that this incident would end up with this outcome.
Molly's evidence of wanting to kill Lauren was presented, yet Molly wouldn't face any consequences because Jasper was protecting her.
His feelings for Molly were truly deep!
Just as Adeline sneered inwardly, Jasper walked directly past her and grabbed hold of Molly, who had been standing in place all along.
Startled, Molly stepped down from the stage in big strides.
Molly had been dragged by him for quite a while before she finally came back to her senses.
The man's grip was strong, and it made her wrist ache.
Once off the stage, she glanced around and spoke in the most tender voice, "Be gentle, you're hurting me!"
Jasper ignored her and pulled her along.
Molly's voice became fainter and fainter.
The tone of her complaints made Adeline think back to that rainy day six years ago.

"I do." The man smirked coldly, "Normal people wouldn't repeatedly try to murder their niece."
"I've been protecting you all these years because I thought you were Adeline's sister, the girl she once loved the most. But it seems my actions were wrong."
She thought she was flawless, but in fact, she had many flaws, very obvious ones.
