Chapter 867 I Can Help You Get Out

Ryan's jaw dropped, and he couldn't close his mouth for a long time.

So the fingerprint left on the murder weapon wasn't from the right index finger.

It was a decoy set up by Jasper and the police.

Because once the real culprit knew there was a fingerprint on the weapon, they would definitely take action.

So, whoever was in a hurry to destroy the finger with evidence was the real killer!

Thinking of this, Ryan couldn't help but admire Jasper's cleverness.

He silently gave Jasper a thumbs up. "Man, you're really something!"

Jasper glanced at him indifferently and said nothing.

Ryan awkwardly retracted his thumb. "So, since we've confirmed that Randy is the one who attacked Giselle, will the police know? If they arrest Randy, will madam be released?"

Jasper squinted, fiddling with his phone. "I don't plan to let her out just yet."

Daisy and Howard had just handed over the Phoebe Group to Oliver and Adeline.

There would be a lot of things to handle in the company over the next few days.

Adeline lacked experience and could easily be targeted. But Oliver was different. He had been managing the Phoebe Group for over a year before he resigned.

So, in this situation, Jasper didn't want Adeline to be released too soon. At least, not until Oliver had separated the Torres and Phoebe family businesses.

But Ryan misunderstood Jasper's words.

That evening, while eating at the restaurant downstairs at the Foster Group, Ryan was on the phone with his girlfriend, sighing deeply.

"Love is selfish. Even our boss, Mr. Foster, is the same. He knows who the killer is but still wants to keep madam locked up. He doesn't want madam to oppose him, but won't she hate him even more for this? I don't know what he's thinking..."

As Ryan ate and complained, a woman in sunglasses sitting in the corner of the restaurant smirked and quietly put away her phone. She put on a hat and mask, hiding in the shadows as she left the restaurant.

"To the police station," she told the taxi driver, leaning lazily in the back seat.

The driver glanced at her through the rearview mirror, starting the car with a smile. "Ma'am, it's late at night, and you're wearing sunglasses and all covered up. Are you turning yourself in?"

She leaned back lazily. "Can't I wear sunglasses at night?"

Her cold tone made the driver shiver. "No, no, I was just making conversation. I bet you're quite pretty. Why cover up so much?"

"You think I'm pretty?" She smiled, removing her hood and sunglasses to reveal a scarred face. "Still think so?"

The driver was so shocked he nearly lost control of the car. The vehicle swerved violently.

The woman seemed used to such reactions. She gracefully put her sunglasses and hood back on. "Just drive and don't be too curious about others."

The driver nodded, pale and silent.

Soon, they arrived at the police station. The woman got out, and the driver sped off without even taking the fare. She smirked, watching the taxi leave before heading into the station.

Though it was late and visiting hours were over, her ominous presence convinced the officer on duty to make an exception.

Adeline was woken from her sleep and groggily followed the female guard, asking who wanted to see her. The guard only said it was a woman.

Adeline frowned, expecting Linda. But instead, she found a stranger in black, wearing sunglasses.

Adeline sat down, frowning. "Who are you?"

"Let me introduce myself," the woman said, smiling. "I'm Tamsin Bailey, about your age, and your brother Oliver's first love."

Adeline's eyes widened. Oliver's first love? She had never known Oliver had a girlfriend.

Since returning to the Phoebe family, she only knew Oliver avoided women, and Joseph's mother was just an accident.

"Oliver and I were together six years ago, before you returned to the Phoebe family. It's normal you don't know."

Tamsin smiled. "I avoided things for six years, but now I'm ready to face them."

She removed her hat, sunglasses, and mask, revealing a scarred face. Adeline was shocked. Tamsin's face was even more terrifying than hers had been after Brandon's attack. It was clear Tamsin's face had been repaired as much as possible, but the scars were still horrifying.

"You're different, not scared of me," Tamsin noted, smiling at Adeline's calm reaction. "Oliver and I met in an orphanage. I liked wearing red and following him around. He mistook me for you and promised to take me away. But when the Phoebe family found Daisy, I didn't leave with him. We reunited later, but Daisy framed me, luring me to a warehouse and setting it on fire, destroying everything."

She looked at Adeline. "I should thank you. If not for you, Daisy wouldn't have been expelled, and I wouldn't have had the courage to return to Oceancrest City."

After recounting her past, Tamsin took a deep breath and looked at Adeline. "I've been studying business abroad, hoping to stand alongside Oliver. But seeing the Phoebe family in crisis, I couldn't let him fight alone, so I came back."

Adeline sighed, seeing the light in Tamsin's eyes when she mentioned Oliver. "So you came to thank me?"

"Of course not." Tamsin played a recording of Ryan's conversation from the restaurant.

"Even our boss, Mr. Foster, is the same. He knows who the killer is but still wants to keep madam locked up. He doesn't want madam to oppose him, but won't she hate him even more for this? I don't know what he's thinking..."

After the recording, Adeline felt a chill. She bit her lip, feeling desolate. So Jasper knew the real killer but preferred to keep her locked up.

"I can help you get out," Tamsin said seriously, "but you have to agree to one condition."
