Chapter 597 Whose Engagement Party Is It Tonight?

Adeline bit her lip, shooting a furious glare at Molly. "What do you want?"

Molly sneered, "Isn't it obvious?"

She squinted at Adeline, her eyes full of hatred. "I want everything you owe me!"

If Adeline hadn't come back with her kids, Molly would already be Jasper's wife! She had been Jasper's fiancée and constant companion for five years.

Everything fell apart the moment Adeline returned!

How could she not be angry? How could she not hate?

Adeline squinted, "Molly, I never owed you anything."

Molly sneered, "Whether you owe me or not isn't up to you, it's up to me!"

"Mommy!" At that moment, Lauren's little voice rang out from below the stage.

Adeline paused and instinctively looked over.

By now, Lauren and Blake were already standing below the stage.

Lauren reached out her small hand, making a gesture to catch Adeline. "Mommy, come down! It's safe now!"

Adeline snapped back to reality, realizing that everyone was now looking at Lily. She took a deep breath, ignored Molly behind her, and walked straight down from the stage.

Once she was off the stage, she picked up Lauren, "Were you scared?"

Lauren shook her head, "No."

Then, she leaned into Adeline's ear and whispered, "Blake and I brought Lily here. Don't worry, Mommy, Lily will protect you and won't let you kiss that disgusting man again!"

Hearing her words, Adeline felt a complex mix of emotions. She held Lauren and was about to take Blake's hand when she noticed Blake's gaze fixed on a corner of the stage.

In the corner stood Bennett, who looked exactly like him.

The two little boys were quietly staring at each other, with little emotion in their eyes.

Adeline's heart sank, and she quickly pulled Blake's hand and led him away.

Watching those three leave, Bennett clenched his small hand into a fist.

He thought, 'Jealous? Think they're happy?'

Molly walked over to him, squatted down, and sneered as she adjusted his bow tie. "If it weren't for those three, you, me, and your father Jasper would be a happy family too. I could hold you like that, making you feel warm and close. But Liam, our happiness was destroyed by them."

She then looked up seriously at Bennett's face. "You know what to do, right?"

Bennett pursed his lips and silently nodded. "Mother, don't worry. I will definitely help you get back everything you deserve."

Below the stage.

Nathan looked at Lily with a flattering expression, helping her to sit on the sofa in the middle of the venue. "Why did you come at this time?"

Lily snorted coldly, her eyes sweeping coldly over Nathan. "What, did I come at a bad time, delaying you from becoming the head of the Foster family?"

The smile on Nathan's face froze. He coughed lightly and lowered his voice, "Mother, what are you saying?

"I just want to help clean up some people in the Foster family, I never thought of taking over.

"It would be a disgrace if the wealth and reputation of the Foster Group fell into the hands of someone with poor character.

"Now Jasper is being accused of being a scumbag, so naturally, I have to help investigate."

Lily laughed.

She looked at Nathan, "You're right, the assets of the Foster family were indeed accumulated by the elders of the Foster family, and some descendants indeed don't deserve to get it."

As she spoke, her eyes turned coldly to Nathan's face. "How much money have you taken from the Foster family over the years?"

Nathan never expected the question to be thrown back at him.

He was stunned for a moment, looking at Lily in a daze, "Mother, what do you mean by that?"

"I mean." Lily snorted coldly and raised her voice. "You said you want to find out if Jasper is really a scumbag and if he has done anything immoral.

"That means you don't have any evidence to prove it.

"But I have clear evidence of the immoral things you and your illegitimate son have done over the years."

Lily glared coldly at Nathan. "If we're going to clean up, shouldn't we start with those who have solid evidence against them? And you, as Jasper's father, should be the first to be dealt with."

After saying that, Lily turned and gave the butler a cold look. "Calculate all the money he has taken from the family over the years and present the bill to him."

"People with bad character don't deserve to get the Foster family's money, so you have to return every penny!" She glared coldly at Nathan.

Lily's words made Nathan's face turn awkward.

Everyone else in the room held their breath.

Lily had clearly earned her reputation as a tough leader of the Foster family before Jasper took over.

Just sitting there, she exuded an invisible sense of oppression. It turned out that the powerful aura that made people look up to Jasper was inherited from Lily.

"Grandma." Seeing Lily treat Nathan this way, Rex hesitated for a moment, then walked over with a smile, imitating other grandsons by leaning on Lily's knee. "Grandma, settling accounts with Dad is a family matter, we can take our time with it later. Why embarrass Dad in front of so many people?"

Then, he looked up and pouted, "I'm also your grandson.

"I'm thrilled you could make it to my engagement party tonight.

"But since you're here, let's enjoy the party and have a meal. Don't let a minor issue come between us, making others think that we Foster family members don't get along."

Rex thought his words would make Lily consider the occasion, but to his surprise.

Lily directly gave Larry a look.

The next second, Larry grabbed Rex's head from Lily's knee and dragged him aside.

Lily, as if she had touched something dirty, took out a tissue and wiped her knee, then turned to Adeline, who was holding Lauren and leading Blake. "Adeline, tell me, whose engagement party is it tonight?"
