Chapter 497 Want to Find Them
The guy in the janitor's outfit, dragging a huge garbage bin, looked just like Sebastian, who vanished months ago!
Adeline stood there, frozen like she'd been hit by lightning.
If the kid Molly brought, who looked exactly like Blake and Bennett, was just a coincidence, then how did Adeline explain Sebastian?
This morning, within a few hours, a boy who looked just like Bennett and a man who looked just like Sebastian both showed up at the hospital.
Adeline didn't believe in miracles, but now she had to wonder if Sebastian and Bennett were really not dead.
She thought about that email again. Quickly, she recorded the surveillance video of Sebastian, said goodbye to Vikram, and took a cab straight home.
First thing she did when she got home was open her laptop and find her hidden email account.
In the inbox, there was a reply from Violet, just sitting there.
Adeline: [Who exactly are you?]
The other side: [The person you think about day and night.]
Adeline: [Are you Bennett?]
The other side: [No.]
Seeing the message on the screen, Adeline's heart was pounding.
She bit her lip, her hands shaking as she typed.
Adeline: [Then are you Sebastian?]
This time, the reply came quickly.
Two minutes later, an email arrived.
It had just one word: [Yes.]
That one word made Adeline burst into tears instantly! The guy she saw in the surveillance was really Sebastian!
If he was Sebastian, then the kid pretending to be Blake earlier must be Bennett!
Adeline hugged her laptop, crying uncontrollably.
She couldn't understand why Bennett didn't recognize her; not only did he fail to recognize her, but he also believed others who claimed she was mentally unstable and abusive in front of Jasper. But as long as Bennett was alive, that was enough. There was nothing better than knowing Bennett and Sebastian were both still alive!
Adeline sat in the chair, feeling every cell in her body trembling and shaking!
She placed her hands on the keyboard, wanting to type and chat with Sebastian a bit more, but she didn't know what to say.
Her mind was a mess, in an ecstatic state.
Adeline was so excited she couldn't even type a complete sentence.
Bennett was still alive! Sebastian was still alive! Adeline didn't cause her son's death, and the Carter family didn't lose their only son because of her.
After a while, Adeline took a deep breath. Just as she was about to reply to Sebastian's email, the two emails disappeared right in front of her.
Adeline was stunned for a moment, suddenly realizing she had lost the means to communicate with Sebastian and Bennett.
All along, it was Sebastian who sent her emails, and only when Sebastian's emails arrived could she reply.
Now, the emails were gone. She had no way to reply to Sebastian anymore.
Adeline closed her eyes, the excitement and thrill in her heart finally calming down.
She took a deep breath, sat in the chair to calm down for a long time, and finally stood up.
Adeline wanted to share this news with Violet, Mia, and Linda. She wanted to tell everyone related to her!
When Adeline took out her phone, she saw that her last contact was Jasper.
Adeline took a deep breath and deleted Jasper from her contacts. He didn't deserve to know that Bennett was still alive.
After getting Adeline's call, Violet grabbed Ethan and they took a cab straight to Blue Bay.
As soon as she walked in, Violet rushed to Adeline, grabbing her hands. "This is amazing, Adeline! Bennett is still alive; this is the best news ever! Blake and Lauren's telepathy was spot on!"
Violet was so excited she started rambling, "I told you, you can't just brush off what Blake and Lauren say because they're kids! No matter what Bennett's situation is now—whether he has amnesia, has been brainwashed, or is being threatened by Molly to accuse you—as long as he's alive, he'll come back to you eventually!"
Seeing Violet so happy for her, Adeline felt a warm glow inside.
While asking Alice to wash some fruit, Adeline filled Violet in on everything she discovered about Sebastian and Bennett that morning.
Sebastian and Bennett had the accident together, and their bodies were never found in that big explosion.
If Sebastian was alive, then Bennett must be too, which meant the boy from this morning had to be Bennett!
"Yes, he must be Bennett!" Violet nodded quickly. "By the way, Adeline, besides seeing Bennett this morning, is there anything else?"
Adeline paused, her excitement fading a bit.
She shook her head, looking a bit down. "No."
This morning, Bennett only appeared for a brief moment. After accusing her of having mental issues and being abusive in place of Blake, he switched back with Blake.
Later, no matter how much Adeline asked Violet's senior to check the surveillance or medical records, they couldn't find Bennett. The kid seemed to have vanished.
Now, Adeline couldn't find Bennett, and she had lost contact with Sebastian.
Seeing Adeline's disappointed look, Violet sighed. "What should we do then..."
"Finding them isn't actually that hard," Ethan, who was peeling an orange for Violet, spoke up. "Since Bennett could replace Blake this morning and accuse you in front of Jasper, he must have had someone helping him in the hospital."
Ethan handed half of the peeled orange to Adeline and the other half to Violet, "Moreover, when he switched with Blake, maybe we couldn't find anyone, but when Bennett switched back to Blake, there must have been someone from Jasper's side helping. As long as we find that person, we won't have trouble finding them."
Adeline paused, finally realizing.
She slapped her forehead. "Right."
The first switch between the two kids happened when Blake was drawing blood, with people coming in and out of the blood transfusion room. No one could tell for sure.
But the second switch happened right under Jasper's nose!
If there wasn't someone from Jasper's side helping, the other party couldn't have completely avoided Jasper and switched the kids.
And that helper... Adeline squinted her eyes, Luna's face appearing in her mind.
Before Bennett appeared, Luna started provoking her with various words, pushing her until she couldn't help but hit Luna.
It was because she hit Luna that when Bennett came out and said those things, Jasper firmly believed it.
After Bennett came out, Luna even warmly hugged him.
If there was someone helping from Jasper's side, then that helper had to be Luna.
Thinking of this, Adeline's heart skipped a beat. So Luna was actually in cahoots with Molly?
