Chapter 652 You Don't Remember?
Adeline's eyes widened instantly. In a weak, hoarse voice, she said, "How dare you!"
Molly blinked innocently, "Actually, you don't need to worry. It's just that the brake line is gone. It doesn't necessarily mean they will die. If they're lucky, they might die. If they're unlucky, they might end up in a vegetative state, unable to speak or move. The worst case is becoming disabled. Jasper and I will have a new baby. Those two will grow up being ridiculed and discriminated against."
Adeline's eyes filled with anger!
She knew she couldn't die; Sharon had confirmed it with her repeatedly. In the end, her body would just get worse, but she would recover in a few years.
But now, she really couldn't go out or move!
Without the doctor's permission, she couldn't even see anyone from outside!
If Blake and Lauren really worried about her and had the driver take the spare car to the hospital, causing irreversible consequences, she would be a sinner for life!
Seeing Adeline's angry expression, Molly couldn't help but laugh out loud.
She took her phone, sent Adeline's photo to Blake and Lauren on WhatsApp, and then left with a smile.
"Let's look forward to the final result, Adeline. Do you think my goal this time is just to kill you? These three children who shouldn't have been born six years ago; even if they don't die with you, they will wish they were dead!"
As soon as Molly finished speaking, the door of the ward was slammed shut.
Adeline's heart tightened, filled with anger and worry.
She wanted the doctor to let Jasper in, but the doctor refused.
Because she was about to be transferred to the advanced ICU ward.
Once inside, she would only have ten minutes a day to see people from outside.
Soon, Adeline was sent to the ICU, which had a huge floor-to-ceiling glass wall just outside.
From a distance, she could see Molly waving her phone at her outside the ward.
Then, she tilted her head, snuggled into Jasper's arms, and said something to him.
Adeline looked into them, tears silently falling from the corners of her eyes.
When Molly waved her phone earlier, she noticed Molly and Blake's chat window and realized he had already seen the photos.
With her eyes closed, Adeline could only pray silently in her heart that Blake and Lauren wouldn't act impulsively.
The Foster family mansion.
After Blake and Lauren changed their clothes, they left the villa.
The butler arranged for a driver to take them to the hospital in the spare car.
The car sped down the highway.
Lauren's eyes were red, "Blake, Mommy must be in a lot of pain. I want to see her quickly."
Blake reached out and patted her back, also feeling worried.
The car ran three red lights at high speed.
Blake noticed something was wrong with the driver's condition.
Suppressing his worry for Adeline, he said, "Sir, what's wrong? Safety first."
The driver, holding the steering wheel, was trembling with nervousness, "The car's brakes seem to have failed!"
Blake's face turned pale, and the driver in front was also frantic.
"We're heading towards a mountain road soon..."
In the back seat, Lauren cried even harder upon hearing this. "Blake, Mommy's life is uncertain now. Are we going to die on the road too?"
Blake squinted and lost in thought. Although he was young, he had seen many news reports about brake failures causing accidents.
But even if this car was a spare, the butler of the Lily family wouldn't neglect its maintenance.
So the brake failure was likely intentional!
Someone wanted to kill him and Lauren!
Thinking of this, he took a deep breath and forced himself to calm down.
After a moment, he looked at the driver through the rearview mirror and said in a calm voice, "Sir, you are a very skilled driver for the Forster family. I believe in this situation, you will calm down and find a solution."
With Blake's words, the driver, who was extremely nervous because of the two children in the car, finally calmed down.
He tried all methods but couldn't stop the car.
The car's speed increased after going downhill, and it was about to crash into the mountain ahead!
"Turn now!" Blake fiddled with the tablet in his hand, "Head east; there's a White family factory there. The factory has a huge speed bump. I'll contact Ms. White to clear the road for us!"
The driver was stunned, shocked by Blake's calmness.
He quickly turned the car.
Blake took a deep breath, picked up his phone, and called Mia.
Hearing that they were in trouble, Mia, who was napping, jumped out of bed.
While getting dressed, she responded, "Okay, Blake, stay calm. That road is indeed the White family's factory road. I'll contact them now to clear the way for you!"
After hanging up, she frantically called and ordered the factory manager on the other end of the line. "Clear the obstacles! Quickly!"
Five minutes later.
When the out-of-control car entered the White Group's factory road, the road was completely cleared of obstacles.
The car drove straight into the factory's speed bump.
After a series of bumps, the car finally stopped.
The thrilling journey left Lauren, who had been crying, speechless.
Her once neat hair was now a mess, and her clothes were disheveled.
Lauren lay on the back seat, clutching the door handle, completely dazed.
Blake, though his hair and clothes were also messy, remained calm.
He wiped the nosebleed from his nose and the bloodstains from the tablet before getting out.
Lauren still clung to the car door, not daring to move.
Blake smiled and opened his arms to her, "Alright, it's over."
Lauren snapped out of it, ran out of the car, and hugged him, crying. "Blake, that was so scary!"
Blake patted her back to comfort her, while frowning at the driver who had just gotten out of the car, still in shock.
"Do you know why the brakes failed?" Blake asked.
The driver paused and then went to check. "The brake line was cut."
"Okay." Blake squinted.
This answer was pretty much what he had expected.
"Who could be so evil!" Lauren cried sadly in Blake's arms.
Blake smirked, "Of course, it's the one who sent us the photos, hoping we'd die on the road."
Then he turned to the driver, "Can you extract fingerprints?"
