Chapter 1000 Mrs. Hall, Someone Downstairs Sent Roses as a Wedding Gift
The Hall Mansion, Crestoria.
After Violet brought home the jewelry Matilda had given her, she placed it on her vanity.
When Brady returned from work, he immediately noticed the beautiful pink rose and diamond necklace on the vanity.
He walked over and picked it up to take a closer look.
Just then, Violet emerged from the bathroom and saw him examining the necklace.
"Grandma gave it to me. She insisted on buying it for me," she said.
Brady turned to look at her, gently opening the necklace to try it on her. "As long as you like it."
"Can you put it on for me?"
Violet turned around to let him put it on.
Once Brady fastened the necklace, the pink and white roses intertwined with diamonds hung delicately on her graceful collarbone, looking stunning.
Brady was mesmerized, and Violet, noticing his expression, remembered something from her outing with Matilda. She asked, "Honey, do you know a woman named Aria?"
"Aria?" Brady furrowed his brow slightly.
He couldn't recall anyone by that name, so he said, "No, why?"
"It's nothing." Violet knew Brady wouldn't lie to her, so she decided not to press further.
She didn't want Brady to think she was being paranoid or petty.
"By the way, have you thought of a way to help with Emily's situation?"
Mentioning Emily, Brady sighed slightly, "To resolve her issue, we might need to contact her former fiancé."
"But that might upset Emily."
"I'm worried about that too." For the first time, Violet found Emily's situation quite tricky.
They needed to help her accept it without causing her distress.
Brady stroked her hair and said, "I have an idea."
"What idea?" Violet looked at him curiously.
Brady pinched her nose gently and said, "Professor Moreau isn't a bad option."
Violet felt confused.
"What do you mean? Are you suggesting Lucien should step in?"
Brady nodded, "Lucien went to America, right? It's clear he wants to pursue Emily."
Violet scoffed, "Why are men like this? When they're chasing you, they ignore you, but once they stop, they won't leave you alone?"
"No ambition."
Brady laughed at her indirect jab, "Why? Do men need ambition when they have a wife?"
"Can ambition turn into a wife?"
Violet glared at him, "See, you're all the same!"
"Is it so shameless to pursue a wife?"
"So, according to you, if we men held onto our dignity and didn't care for you, chase you, or pamper you, would you come running to us?" Brady teased her.
Violet couldn't out-argue him, so she playfully punched his chest, pretending to be angry.
"You're so clever!"
Brady laughed again, "Of course I am. You know that, right?"
Violet fell silent.
So smug.
"Come on, my suit arrived today. Will you come to the dressing room with me to try it on?" Brady took her hand and led her to the luxurious dressing room.
Sure enough, there was a finely tailored black suit on one side of the dressing room.
Brady started unbuttoning his shirt, and soon it fell to the floor, revealing his strong, muscular physique under the white lights.
Violet's face flushed as she watched, quickly turning to grab the custom shirt for him.
"Did you only get this one?" Violet handed him the shirt and asked.
"There's another one, but the store hasn't delivered it yet." Brady put on the shirt but didn't button it right away. Instead, he looked at Violet.
Under the lights, Violet's cheeks were rosy, and her eyes sparkled.
She was incredibly alluring.
Brady's throat tightened, and he suddenly lifted her onto the glass cabinet nearby. "How about we try it here?"
Violet's face turned even redder at his words.
"Why do you want to make love every day?"
"Because you're irresistible," Brady chuckled softly, leaning in to kiss her lips.
Just as things were heating up, the housemaid knocked on the dressing room door, breathlessly saying, "Mr. Hall, Mrs. Hall, someone delivered a large box of roses downstairs as a wedding gift for Mrs. Hall."
