Chapter 919 If He Doesn't Want Trouble, Don't Interfere
"Yeah, you took Julie. Brady's not gonna let you get away with this," Violet said, catching her breath and trying to sound tough.
Miles just scoffed, lightly tapping her face with the gun he had snatched from her earlier. "Tell Brady I took Julie. If he doesn't want trouble, he should stay out of it."
Miles glanced at Violet one more time before quickly looking away.
He holstered the gun and strode out of the room.
Getting Julie back was the priority now.
As soon as Miles stepped out of the villa, Violet looked around. Brady and Arthur hadn't arrived yet. Was she going to just stand by and watch Julie get taken away?
No way. Julie's brother had saved Brady once.
She couldn't just let this happen.
Violet sat on the couch for a few seconds, then decided she couldn't worry about her safety. She quickly ran out the back door to catch up with them.
By this time, Miles and his burly subordinate had reached a secluded part of the beach, far from Brady and his crew.
Violet chased after them, shouting.
"Brady, we're over here! Hurry!"
Her voice was faint, and Brady didn't hear her at all.
Realizing this, Violet stopped shouting and sprinted to catch up.
Miles and the burly guy were already getting Julie onto a white speedboat.
Seeing this, Violet found a burst of courage from somewhere.
She didn't care if Miles might kill her. She kicked off her shoes and climbed onto the speedboat, trying to pull Julie away. "Julie, come with me!"
She knew it was probably futile, but she couldn't just do nothing.
She couldn't just watch Julie get taken away.
Julie was terrified. She had been protected on this island for so long, and the trauma of Lance's murder had faded. But now, with these men here, all those buried fears came rushing back.
She was so scared, she clung to Violet's clothes, refusing to let go.
"Looks like you're not afraid to die," Miles said, stepping up to them as Violet tried to pull Julie away.
His voice was cold, his gaze fixed on her.
"Let her go," Violet said, shielding Julie behind her, trying to reason with Miles.
But Miles had grown up surrounded by violence and bloodshed.
He wasn't going to be scared off by some idle threat.
"Looks like you're not afraid to die," Miles repeated, stepping closer, his eyes cold and murderous.
"I know you won't kill me," Violet said, trying to stay calm.
If he wanted to kill her, he would have done it already.
Plus, she knew he had faced off against Brady before.
He wouldn't have mentioned Brady's name otherwise.
With this certainty, she felt fearless.
Miles laughed coldly at her words. In the next second, he drew a knife and yanked Violet towards him, pressing the sharp blade against her throat.
The cold metal sent a chill down her spine.
Violet couldn't help but tremble slightly, but she forced herself to stay calm.
She couldn't afford to panic if she wanted to save Julie.
"Then go ahead, kill me," Violet said, deliberately provoking him.
As she did, she gave Julie a look, signaling her to grab the gun.
Though the burly guy was watching them, Violet knew she had a gun hidden on her.
She hadn't taken it out earlier, so they didn't know about it.
But Julie was too scared to notice Violet's signal. She just stood there, frozen in fear on the speedboat.
