Chapter 329 Leana Would Never Bow Down to Violet

"Is everything resolved?" Brady gently touched Violet's hair, concern in his eyes. Violet flinched and whispered, "Mr. Green is here too; they can't know."

Brady smiled, the intensity in his eyes softening. "No wonder you didn't need my help. How'd you handle it?"

"At first, I had no idea how to clear my name, but then I remembered someone was filming a VLOG at the scene. I was hoping that it caught me and Leana on camera," Violet explained. "And it did."

"Mm." Brady looked at her thoughtfully, admiration growing in his eyes. He'd always thought she was the type to break down under pressure, but she was stronger than he realized. She didn't want to rely on him. But as a man...

Brady wanted more. Beyond her body, he wanted her heart, her complete submission.

"Leana won't bother you anymore. I'll make sure she apologizes to you," Brady assured.

"Oh." Violet didn't care about an apology. She doubted Brady's words would change anything. Too many women liked him, including her stepsister. Even if Leana backed off, someone else would take her place.

She might as well hope Brady would tire of her soon so she could escape this constant scheming.

"Violet, come to my place after we get back. I'll keep you company," Brady said warmly.

"I want to spend the evening with my aunt," Violet replied. "Can we do it another day?"

Brady's eyes narrowed, and he stepped closer, his presence overwhelming. "Don't you need my company?"

"My aunt's been suspicious of me lately. I want to spend tonight with her," Violet said, enduring his intense gaze.

"Alright, then tomorrow night." Brady didn't push. He reached out, pinched her chin, and gave her a lingering kiss. "Remember, I'm your man. If anything happens, come to me."

Violet's heart trembled from his kiss, and she nodded.

Brady left, and Violet stood there, her heart still racing. She couldn't handle Brady's sudden tenderness.

As Violet stood outside, Max approached. "How did it go? What did the officer say?"

"It's fine, I'm innocent," Violet said, brushing away the warmth on her cheeks.

"Did you find any evidence?" Max asked.

"Yes, a model was filming a VLOG at the scene. It caught me and Leana together."

Max frowned. "Did Leana frame you?"

"Yes," she replied.

"Why?" Max was puzzled. "Did you know her before? Why would she do this?"

"Not really, just because of a mutual friend," Violet summarized. "And a small conflict."

"A small conflict led to this?" Max thought Leana had serious issues. If Violet couldn't clear her name, she'd end up in jail. He felt a chill. "Violet, you don't need to deal with Leana's designs anymore. I'll talk to her supervisor."

Violet had no objections; she was tired of dealing with Leana.

"By the way, where's Mr. Hall? I don't see him anywhere," Max asked.

"Oh, Mr. Hall just left." Mentioning Brady made Violet's ears burn.

"Mr. Hall didn't say anything, did he?" Max was worried Brady might fire Violet.

"No," she replied.

"That's good. Let's go," Max said, relieved.

Violet nodded.

They left the police station, and less than five minutes later, Leana, who was still held up in the interrogation room, picked up a utility knife and slit her wrist in front of the officer.

Leana would never bow down to a woman like Violet!
