Chapter 548 "You Better Keep an Eye on Me Later, Don't Let Them Hurt Me."
At the Hall Mansion.
Brady rushed back, and when he entered the living room, Ava was sitting with Matilda watching TV.
Olivia was sitting obediently on the other side.
When Brady walked in, Ava saw him and smiled gently. "Brady, come sit."
Olivia blushed instinctively when she saw him.
She clenched her hands slightly, feeling a bit nervous about drugging him and having sex with him later.
Brady glanced at Olivia, nodded, slowly walked over and sat down next to Matilda.
As soon as he sat down, Matilda said innocently, "Brady, Ava just told me she agreed to let you marry Violet. That's good news."
"Really? My mom agreed so quickly?" Brady wasn't as naive as Matilda.
"Of course, she told me this afternoon that she had thought it through." Matilda was very happy at the thought of the whole family living together harmoniously in the future. "We can all be a happy family from now on."
After Matilda finished speaking, Ava continued with a smile. "Brady, I apologize for my bad temper before. Now that you're going to marry Violet, I won't interfere anymore."
Brady said thoughtfully, "Mom, why did you suddenly change your mind?"
"Even if I didn't change my mind, you would still insist on marrying her, right? If I kept making trouble, our relationship would definitely worsen, and I don't want that." Ava took a sip of tea.
"Really? It's good that you've come around, Mom. I'll be getting the marriage certificate with Violet next week, and I hope you won't stop us," Brady said calmly.
Ava said, "Of course, that's a good thing," She paused, "You should stay home tonight. It's rare for you to be here, and Olivia will be going abroad soon."
As expected. Brady knew there was something fishy.
Ava wasn't the type to give up so easily.
"Alright." Brady agreed readily.
Ava then smiled and said, "Since we're so happy today, I'll go prepare some dessert," With that, she got up to prepare the dessert.
Seeing this, Olivia volunteered. "I'll help you."
"Sure." Ava smiled.
The two exchanged a knowing look and went to the kitchen together. Matilda didn't notice anything, but Brady saw it all.
After they went to the kitchen, Matilda said, "I'm relieved that your mom has changed her mind this time."
Brady smiled. "Grandma, you're relieved too soon. When Violet marries into our family, you'll need to protect her more."
Matilda didn't understand what he meant. Hadn't Ava already agreed? Was she still going to bully Violet?
"Brady, what do you mean by that? I don't understand."
"Grandma, do you think my mom's temper can change suddenly in one day? Don't count on it," Brady said calmly.
Matilda was surprised. "You mean she's doing this on purpose?"
Brady nodded and slightly raised his chin towards the kitchen. "Didn't the two of them just go to the kitchen together?"
Matilda was even more surprised, "What is Ava planning?"
"Definitely nothing good. You need to keep an eye on me later and make sure they don't hurt me," Brady said with a smile.
Matilda patted her forehead in frustration. "Ava... Can't she let go of her prejudice? Our Hall family is so wealthy, do we still need to marry into another family? But don't worry, as long as Violet marries into the Hall family, I'll make sure to protect her for you."
Brady nodded.
