Chapter 76 Henry, You Should Call Mom 'Auntie'
After Violet and Hellen walked out of the cake shop, they didn't dare to look back, afraid that Brady would follow. They stopped only when they turned a corner and saw their spot near the cake shop.
"Violet, he saw us. What should we do?" Hellen nervously spoke, glancing at the two well-behaved babies sitting in the stroller.
"He probably won't be easily fooled," Violet replied. Although she didn't have much contact with Brady before and didn't know him well, her previous infatuation with him was merely based on a few random encounters during her youth, simply thinking he was handsome.
Just a shallow crush.
However, in their recent interactions, she realized that he was not a man an ordinary woman could handle, especially with his many years of experience in the business world. He wasn't some young man in his early twenties whom anyone could easily deceive. Violet believed that once Brady started suspecting something, he would find a way to prove his doubts. So, the most likely possibility was that he would try to come and do a paternity test.
"What should we do then?" Hellen couldn't make up her mind. With her having no significant background to contend with the Hall family, she was naturally afraid that Violet's two children would be taken away. These two little babies were brought into the world with all of Violet's efforts. Neither Violet nor Hellen would accept it if they were taken away so easily.
"Don't worry, Hellen." Violet adjusted her mood and didn't let herself get as nervous as Hellen. She reached out and patted Hellen's shoulder, saying, "At most, he can come for a paternity test, and then I'll think of a way to disrupt the test."
"How are you going to disrupt it?" Hellen couldn't guess her thoughts, so she curiously asked.
"We'll know when the time comes." Violet spoke as she squatted down, touching the little heads of Henry and Nicole, smiling and saying, "Henry, you did great just now. Mommy wants to reward you."
Henry looked surprised. He didn't know why Mommy wanted to reward him, but he happily called out, "Mommy, Mommy..."
When Nicole heard her brother calling Mommy like that, she also started calling out, "Mommy, Mommy."
The soft voices were truly heartwarming.
Violet's heart melted.
Violet immediately kissed Henry's chubby cheek as a reward, and after she was done with him, she went over and kissed Nicole.

Everyone was rewarded with two kisses from their mothers. Violet continued speaking to Henry, "Henry, the next time you see that uncle, will you call me 'aunt' when you talk to him?"
Henry didn't understand very well. He turned his starry eyes, as deep and dark as the night sky, and looked at his mother. "Mom, why?"
"Because... that uncle and I have something going on, and it will affect Henry and Nicole. Do you want to always be with Mom, your sister, and your aunt?"
Henry nodded emphatically. Of course, he wanted that. They were his most beloved people - his mom, his sister, and his aunt.
He already had it all planned out. When he grew up, he would take care of his mom, his aunt, and his sister. He would earn a lot of money for them and buy a big house.
The house would be filled with his sister's dolls, his mom's new dresses, and his aunt's handicrafts.
"So, when you meet that uncle in the future, Henry and Nicole, you can't call me 'mom,' you can only call me 'aunt'," Violet patiently explained.
Henry understood and nodded again.
Nicole didn't understand very well, but she followed her brother's lead.
She obediently nodded.
"Alright, let's go home. Mom bought you guys a Captain America cake!" Violet affectionately ruffled the heads of these two little ones, got up, and went home with Hellen.
Brady stood in front of the building, lost in deep thought for quite some time before finally turning the steering wheel and heading towards the old lady's villa.
On the other side, Violet and Hellen had just returned to their apartment.
Max drove to her apartment, claiming to have an urgent matter to discuss, but in reality, he just wanted to ask her out.
Violet found herself overwhelmed by the presence of Brady, Aiden, and now Mr. Green.
She was really starting to feel a headache coming on.
However, since he was downstairs now, she couldn't simply ignore him.
She straightened her clothes a bit, and after informing Hellen, she went downstairs.
As she descended the stairs, she hadn't even reached the entrance to her apartment.
Max, unlike his usual habit of waiting in the car, had already alighted and was walking towards her.
"Mr. Green, it's already after work hours. What can I do for you?" Violet walked towards him with a leisurely pace and asked.
"I have a new task to assign to you," Max said, gazing at Violet with fascination as the sunset cast a beautiful glow on her.
In the midst of the sunset, Violet looked breathtakingly beautiful.
Her long, black hair cascaded gently over her shoulders, and the pink business suit she was wearing perfectly accentuated her graceful figure.
She was more dazzling than a celebrity.
Max's heart started pounding.
"What task is it?" Violet's whole being froze for a moment upon hearing that Max had a new task for her.
She thought she was going to be fired, and yet he was giving her another task?
Of course, Violet couldn't possibly tell him about what happened today.
She had rejected Brady's conditions and scolded him harshly.
Naturally, she couldn't continue working at JK anymore.
"Mr. Gosh's relative is getting engaged and needs a design for the engagement gown. Can you do it?" Max smiled warmly, his eyes filled with tenderness as he looked at her.
An engagement gown?
Assigning such a challenging task to an intern like her?
Violet thought she must have misheard. "Mr. Green, you want me to design an engagement gown?"
"Yes. Do you have the confidence?" he asked.
"I do... It's just that I'm an intern," Violet replied. She did have confidence in herself, but as an intern, important designs like this were usually given to senior designers at JK.
They wouldn't simply entrust them to an intern.
Furthermore, whether she could continue working at JK tomorrow was uncertain.
"Being an intern is not an issue. I believe in your abilities," Max said, looking completely trusting. Violet couldn't refuse. All she could say was, "Mr. Green, let's discuss this tomorrow. It's after work hours today."
If Brady terminated her tomorrow, she wouldn't be able to take on the task.
If, on the other hand, he had a change of heart and didn't terminate her, then she would proceed with the task.
"Alright."
Max thought about it and realized that it was already late and he shouldn't give her any tasks.
That's not right.
But if he didn't use this as an excuse, he wouldn't know what reason he had to see her, right?
To confess to her?
Max felt it wasn't the right time.
So he kept quiet.
"Mr. Green, is there anything else? If not, I have to go back now. My family is waiting for me to have dinner!" Violet said, wanting to leave.
"Alright." Max muttered. He had intended to try and ask her, "How about we have dinner together another day?"
Unfortunately, those words didn't come out.
Violet quickly said, "Then, Mr. Green, bye." After speaking, she turned and returned to her apartment without stopping.
Max watched her leave and immediately felt regretful.
Why was he so cowardly just now?
Next time, he must ask her out!
Back in her apartment, Violet didn't think too much about Max wanting to design a wedding dress for her. She continued to decorate the cake to celebrate with the babies.
After the celebration, Violet nursed the babies.
Once they were done, Violet went to the kitchen to prepare her resume.
She couldn't just wait idly, expecting to be laid off. She had to take the initiative and apply to various design companies. Surely, one of them would hire her.
After submitting her resume, she played with the babies, took a bath, and went to sleep.
Rarely did she have to work overtime.
That night, Violet slept soundly with the babies.
The next day, Violet went to work as usual. She dressed up nicely since it should be her last day.
She didn't want to leave looking disheveled.
When she arrived at the office, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Everyone treated her with the usual mixture of jealousy and exclusion.
Violet was already used to it.
Returning to her desk, she started to pack up. At a glance, she saw the drawings for the coat design intended for Lady Hall on her desk.
Her mood inexplicably sank.
Although Brady wasn't that great, Lady Hall was a good person.
If she resigned, how would she reject the design for Lady Hall this time?
Violet thought about it randomly and ultimately decided that if she did resign, she would privately design it and bring it to her as a way to repay Lady Hall's hospitality.
Setting the papers aside, Violet continued to pack her things.
She tidied up all the loose ends.
Finally, the expected moment arrived. Linda, from the CEO's office, personally came downstairs to invite her to the CEO's office.
Violet knew for sure that she would be dismissed.
Without any surprise on her face, she calmly went upstairs to the luxurious CEO's office to meet with him.

At this moment, inside the luxurious CEO's office.
Brady sat behind the black desk, holding a pen, listening attentively to the lawyer explaining the procedures and process for paternity testing.
The paternity test wasn't troublesome; it was the subsequent fight for custody that would be troublesome.
If those two children were really his, he would definitely want to be part of their lifes
"The lawyer explained the details of the paternity test to him."
Violet entered.
Taking a glance at the man sitting behind the desk, Violet didn't want to wait for him to speak first and said, "Mr. Hall, I came here to resign."
As soon as she finished speaking, Brady immediately looked at her, his eyebrows slightly furrowed, a hint of a smile playing at the corners of his lips, he said, "Who allowed you to resign?"
Violet was stunned and couldn't understand Brady's meaning at first, but she quickly understood.
Brady said, "I want to do a paternity test. Miss DE Vere won't refuse, will she?"
