Chapter 73 Can I Bring a Girlfriend Home this Month?
"I don't have a vivid imagination; I'm just telling the truth. You said you don't like that person, so why haven't you brought a girlfriend home all these years?" The old lady took this opportunity to nag at him, trying to pressure him into finding a girlfriend soon.
Brady: ...
He couldn't argue with the old lady. "I will bring one home when the time comes."
"And when is that time? There's already a suitable girl right in front of you, but you're not taking the initiative. Before long, someone else will become her boyfriend. Where will you find such a beautiful girl?" The old lady huffed in anger.
Every time she thought about Violet becoming someone else's girlfriend, she would worry for Brady.
What a great girl she was!
Brady chuckled and didn't want to dwell too much on Violet. He simply said, "Can I bring a girlfriend home this month?"
"Really?!" The old lady immediately became excited when she heard him surrender. "Don't lie to me, or I'll be angry and you won't be welcome here anymore."
Humbly, with a hint of fondness for his grandmother on his handsome face, Brady said, "I know, I will bring one home."
The old lady finally nodded in satisfaction.
However, the old lady thought about how Violet didn't accompany her for dinner and felt a sense of loss. Her mood turned gloomy, and when she felt gloomy, she craved dessert.
So, she said to Brady, "Go to that cake shop on Westlink Road, the one I often go to, and buy me a cheesecake. I'm not feeling too good, and I just want to have a cake."
Brady truly admired his grandmother's taste. Just because of his search for a girlfriend, she suddenly wanted cake.
But he would definitely comply with her request and said, "Grandma, I'll go buy it."
"Mhm."

Meanwhile, after leaving the old lady's villa, Violet took a car back to Hellen's apartment.
But before entering the apartment, Violet remembered the fact that her son could talk, so she decided to buy a cake to celebrate. She turned back and went to a nearby exquisite cake shop to select a cake suitable for her baby.
It was Violet's first time visiting this shop and she was unaware that it was expensive and frequented by the upper class.
The shop staff glanced at her and noticed that she was wearing inexpensive clothes from street vendors. They felt a bit disdainful and didn't bother to assist her, letting her browse on her own.
Violet didn't mind browsing alone. She didn't like someone chattering beside her and recommending things. So, while picking a cake for Henry, she made a phone call to Hellen.
She informed Hellen that she was buying a cake.
Hellen, currently shopping with two little ones at a nearby supermarket, put her kids in the cart when she received Violet's call to prevent them from running around. Only then did she answer the phone with relief, "Violet, is there something wrong?"
"Hellen, I got off work early today, so I wanted to let you know that I bought a cake for Henry at the bakery,” Violet said cheerfully, her eyes fixed on a cake decorated with Captain America inside the glass display case.
Actually, she shouldn't have been in a good mood. Maybe after finishing this cake with Henry today, she would be unemployed tomorrow.
But then she thought, she wouldn't have to encounter Brady anymore in the future, so her mood wouldn't be so gloomy.
"Really? Which bakery are you at? Henry, Nicole, and I are outside," Hellen gently rubbed Henry's head, saying, "I took them to the supermarket for a stroll."
"I'm at a bakery called 'Grace' near our apartment."
"That's a coincidence. I'm nearby. Just wait, I'll bring Henry and Nicole over right away." Hellen hung up the phone and immediately pushed the stroller to find Violet.
