Chapter 924 Miles Pulled Violet into the Sea
"You know why I followed you onto this boat, right? Otherwise, I could've just ignored her," Violet said calmly, showing no fear.
Miles's eyes flared with anger.
Brady's woman, definitely different, bold enough.
"Not afraid of death?" Miles challenged her.
"If I were afraid of death, would I have boarded the boat?" Violet shot back.
Miles's eyes narrowed as he looked at her, a cold laugh escaping his throat. "You got guts."
He paused, then suddenly stepped down from the bow of the boat, standing right in front of Violet.
His cold eyes seemed to be assessing this fearless Violet.
Miles had never been particularly interested in women. It wasn't that he didn't like them; the base had no shortage of stunning beauties. But none had ever made him feel anything.
Violet was indeed very beautiful.
A typical Crestoria beauty.
He had seen Crestoria women before, but it was as if a stone had been thrown into a calm lake; a sudden thought sprouted under the moonlight.
It grew so quickly that Miles didn't notice.
He just stared at her, seemingly deep in thought, without any wariness.
Then, he was about to say something.
Suddenly, Violet pushed him with all her strength, right in the chest.
Miles, caught off guard, stumbled backward, almost falling out of the speedboat.
Miles realized too late what Violet was trying to do.
She wanted to kill him?
She had taught him a lesson.
He had been careless.
Miles's eyes turned cold and predatory.
With the speed honed from years of training, he grabbed Violet's wrist and pulled her into the sea with him.
A heavy splash echoed as they both plunged into the deep water.
At the same moment they hit the water, Brady felt a sharp pain in his chest. He clutched his chest, a sense of foreboding washing over him.
His cold eyes watched a man writhing in agony, being devoured by red ants.
With a voice colder than ice, he said, "Are you going to talk?"
The man, in excruciating pain, had a face twisted in agony but still gritted his teeth, refusing to say a word.
This display of defiance infuriated Brady.
Every time he thought about Violet and Julie being in Miles's hands, he couldn't stay calm.
Especially since this man was so tight-lipped.
Brady, already agitated by Violet being taken by Miles, lost control. In front of everyone, he started punching and kicking the man viciously.
His blows were ruthless.
As he hit, he shouted, "If anything happens to Violet, your entire organization will pay with their lives."
"Are you going to talk?"
"No? Let's see how long you can hold out."
The man, unable to withstand the beating, finally spat out a mouthful of blood, clutching his abdomen and screaming in pain on the ground.
Arthur, seeing the man was about to be beaten to death, quickly grabbed Brady's arm and said, "Brady, that's enough. Don't let him die."
"If he dies, we'll have to spend more time finding their base. Violet and Julie's lives are at stake."
This last sentence managed to calm Brady down.
But his fingers were already bleeding from the intense beating.
Arthur noticed and immediately had Eddy bring over a first aid kit to stop the bleeding.
After bandaging him up, Arthur said, "Let's head to their previous base now. The rest can continue interrogating this man. What do you think?"
Brady, eyes cold, glanced at his injured knuckles and said, "Bring him along."
He didn't want to waste any time.
