Chapter 841 He'd Take Nicole Away

Darian and Violet sprinted through the rain, heading for the car parked just outside the school gates.

Darian, always the gentleman, opened the car door for Violet, letting her hop in first.

Once she was settled, he stood outside in the downpour, letting the rain drench him before climbing in himself.

As soon as he got inside, Violet glanced at Darian, who was soaked, his hair dripping wet.

She felt a pang of guilt; she had stayed dry under his jacket and hadn't realized how much he was getting rained on.

Seeing that he must have shielded her from the rain, she quickly pulled some napkins from her bag. "Darian, you're soaked. Here, use these to dry off."

Darian, with a warm smile, waved off the napkins and started the car. "It's no big deal. A little rain never hurt anyone," he said, shrugging it off.

"But you might catch a cold. You should dry off," Violet insisted.

Though Darian sometimes brought up the past unexpectedly, he had been professional since they started working together.

"Violet, seriously, it's fine. We guys aren't that fragile," Darian replied with a gentle smile, his fingers turning the steering wheel as he maneuvered the car around.

The car made a smooth turn in the rain, heading back toward the company.

"Make sure to change when we get back. We have that design competition coming up," Violet reminded him, seeing he wasn't going to use the napkins.

She didn't push him further. "You're our ace at JK. I don't want anything going wrong."

"Don't worry, the competition will be fine," Darian assured her. "I wouldn't be working with JK if I weren't serious."

"Good," Violet said, reassured, and left it at that.

The car sped through the sheets of rain, the windshield wipers rhythmically clearing the water away.

Inside, the two fell into a quiet, slightly tense silence.

As they neared the Hall Group building, Darian glanced over at Violet, who sat quietly, maintaining a deliberate distance from him.

A few raindrops had caught Violet earlier, leaving her bangs slightly damp and clinging to her forehead.

Instead of looking disheveled, she appeared more delicate, her profile beautifully highlighted.

Darian couldn't help but let a small smile play on his lips.

In truth, Violet and he were a perfect match, both in looks and spirit.

What could Brady offer her? Just money, nothing more.

Darian could give her everything in design, a true meeting of the minds.

"Violet, have you ever thought about studying at Elysium Springs? It's where every designer's soul belongs," Darian said, turning his gaze back to the road.

Violet shook her head. "No, I'm married now, with kids. I can't just up and leave to study abroad."

If she hadn't married, hadn't met Brady, maybe she would have considered Elysium Springs.

But now, with her commitments, she couldn't be so reckless.

"That's a real shame. It's the best place for designers worldwide. With your talent, staying at JK and Crestoria is a waste," Darian said, trying to hint at the opportunity abroad. "I know a top mentor there. He's involved in all the major international design competitions. If you want, I can introduce you."

"Thanks, Darian, but I'm happy developing my career at Crestoria. I can make a name for myself internationally from here, right?" Violet replied, her thoughts firmly on Brady and her child.

She had no intention of leaving Crestoria. She still had dreams, of course.

Becoming the best designer at Crestoria and leading JK to global success didn't require going abroad.

So, despite everything, Violet wasn't willing to leave.

The thought of her heart belonging to Brady made Darian's resolve tighten. He wouldn't let her stay here. If she didn't come with him, he'd take Nicole.
