Chapter 26 Mr. Hall, what a coincidence. Are you also here to eat

Violet couldn't help but also look towards the commotion, and was startled when she saw it.
It was Brady again!
Was she really having a run of bad luck recently?
How is it possible to encounter him wherever she goes?
Violet looked at the man walking briskly towards their elevator, slightly astonished.
Her mind was a bit chaotic. They have been encountering each other with an unexpectedly high frequency recently.
However, despite her slightly chaotic mind, she was still clear-headed.
It would be better to avoid him.
So as she pulled her gaze away, Violet quickly pressed the elevator floor button.
The elevator doors started to slowly close.
Just as they were about to close, a hand suddenly pressed against the closing doors, and with a loud bang, the elevator opened again.
Allowing the person outside the elevator to enter.
"Mr. Hall, please come in." The hand belonged to none other than his assistant, Linda.
Linda was simply...
In order to show utmost service to Brady, after pressing the elevator button, she bent over and invited him in.
Brady actually noticed Violet, but he couldn't be bothered to acknowledge her.
Who knew, it was such a coincidence that all the elevators on both sides were going up, except for theirs, so they got in.
As soon as Brady entered, his assistant and subordinates followed suit, instantly making the already narrow elevator seem even smaller.
Violet was squeezed into a corner by several men, luckily Max was there to protect her.
She wasn't injured by those subordinates of his.
After Max supported her, he proactively greeted Brady, "Mr. Hall, what a coincidence, are you also here to eat?"
Brady didn't even look at him and emitted a chilly 'hmm' from his nostrils, not saying a single unnecessary word.
The elevator slowly started its ascent.
Brady's client also happened to be on the third floor in a private room.
During the ride, nobody spoke much.
It wasn't until the elevator reached the third floor that Brady walked out first, took a few steps, and suddenly turned back to look at the two who had also walked out. He said, "Mr. Green, are you having dinner with her?"
Max didn't deny it. "Yes, does Mr. Hall have something to say?"
"Not really." Brady's sharp gaze fell on Violet like a wolf. Was she planning to shift her focus to Max?
He withdrew his gaze and turned to continue walking towards his private room.
Violet was a little taken aback by the look he had just given her.
What did Brady's gaze mean?
Violet couldn't figure it out.
But she didn't want to guess either.
Fortunately, this time Brady didn't accuse her of intentionally trying to seduce him.
Violet didn't dwell on it and followed Max to the private room they had reserved.
Nobody was in the private room yet.
Max asked the waiter to bring cold dishes while Violet sat beside him, helping him review the cooperation plans that would be discussed with influential figures in the fashion industry.
After a while, their clients finally arrived.
There were a total of five people, and apart from one who was slightly thin, the rest were all greasy and overweight.
Violet couldn't help feeling a bit nauseous as she looked at them.
She silently put away the documents in her hand, planning to only be responsible for explaining the cooperation plans later, and not participate in anything else, such as drinking.
Especially alcohol, she wouldn't drink.
She was still breastfeeding, and drinking alcohol would definitely be harmful to the baby.
After the clients took their seats one by one, Max picked up his glass and began to thank them, "Gentlemen, thank you for coming."
"Mr. Green, you're too polite. If your company truly meets our development prospects, we will definitely cooperate with you." Each of the clients nodded insincerely.
"Thank you for your interest, gentlemen." Max raised his glass again and took a sip.
As he drank, the clients applauded one after another.
After the applause, one of the overweight clients, Clyde Potts, looked at Violet with narrowed eyes.
He had noticed this pretty girl as soon as she entered.
He wondered if Mr. Green intentionally brought her along as an accompanying drinker or if she was an employee of their company.
Regardless, he had his eyes on this pretty girl.
Clyde took the opportunity to offer Violet a drink. "Mr. Green, who is this beautiful lady?"
"This is our company's designer, Ms. Devereux. You can ask her anything regarding consultation."
"So, the pretty lady is the designer. Impressive." Clyde raised his hand to touch his chin and said, "Ms. Devereux, would you like to have a drink?"
"I don't drink," Violet knew that avoiding drinking was inevitable.
But she definitely wouldn't drink.
"Mr. Potts, she doesn't drink, I'll drink on her behalf." Max, being protective, said.
Clyde lifted the glass in front of Violet and proposed a toast for her.
With a mischievous smile, he said, "If you don't know how to drink, you can learn. Come on, Ms. Devereux, please have a drink?"
"I really don't know how to, I'm sorry," Violet declined with a wave of her hand.
Clyde’s face immediately turned gloomy. "Mr. Green, is this the sincerity you have for cooperating with us?"
"No, it's just... she really can't handle alcohol," Max suddenly regretted bringing her to this dinner party. If it weren't for his desire to have a meal with her, he truly wanted Violet to leave first.
"Mr. Green, you are being impolite and insincere. You don't have enough sincerity," Clyde insisted on forcing Violet to drink, not backing down at all.
The situation became a bit awkward for both sides.
In the midst of the stalemate, Clyde had a wicked idea. Taking advantage of Violet's inattention, he secretly added something "special" to her juice.
If she drank this "special" something, he would have his way with her.
"Ms. Devereux, um...how about this...since you don't want to drink alcohol, how about drinking this juice instead? You shouldn't refuse that, right?" Clyde, with his cunning squinted eyes, held Violet's juice in front of her and said attentively.
