Chapter 963 What Do You Mean by Indecent? I'll Show You What Indecent Really Is!
At the restaurant, the men's restroom.
Brady stood at the sink, washing his hands.
Just as he finished, Austin walked in. Seeing Brady, he cautiously approached and handed him a business card, saying, "Hey, Mr. Hall, I didn't get a chance to properly introduce myself earlier with the ladies around."
Brady flicked the water off his hands and glanced at the card. Normally, he wouldn't accept business cards from people who approached him like this, but considering Austin was Emily's date, he hesitated for a moment before taking it.
"Mr. Roberts, no need to be so formal."
"If you have some time, I'd love to grab a coffee with you sometime," Austin said, feeling a bit more relaxed now that Brady had accepted his card.
"Sure, I'll head out first," Brady replied, holding the card in his palm and maintaining a polite but distant tone as he left the restroom.
Outside, Brady opened his hand to look at the card. Austin's title was Associate Professor.
Not bad, similar to Lucien.
But something about Austin gave Brady a bad feeling.
Even though Austin had been attentive and considerate to Emily earlier, it felt a bit forced.
Brady pondered for a moment before slipping the card into his pants pocket.
Inside the restaurant
Violet and Emily were nearly finished with their meal.
Both women touched their stomachs simultaneously and laughed, "I'm stuffed, how about you?"
"Me too. The food here is pretty good," Emily said, though it was a bit spicy.
But she couldn't deny it tasted great.
Emily checked her watch; it was almost 8 PM. "What are you guys planning to do next?"
"We're heading home to take care of the kids," Violet said, though she secretly wished for some nightlife.
But with kids, she couldn't indulge.
"Then I'll head home too," Emily said. Since Violet wasn't up for hanging out, she didn't feel like doing anything else either.
Violet admired her friend, "Hey, Emily, you're not like me. You're not married yet, so you should be living it up. It's still early. Why not catch a movie with him?"
"I'm not ready," Emily said helplessly.
"Not ready? You seemed pretty open to him earlier. Emily, you're killing me... You seemed ready just a moment ago."
"I meant I'm not ready to go to the movies!" Emily coughed.
"Why not give it a try? It could help you decide if you want to keep seeing him," Violet suggested. "If it works out, great. If not, you can tell your parents sooner. He seems genuinely interested in you, probably looking for something serious."
Emily thought for a moment. She had already taken the first step, and she might as well take the second. She nodded obediently, "Alright, I'll go see a movie with him."
Leaving the restaurant, Emily and Austin hurried to catch the 9 PM show.
Violet wrapped her arm around Brady's waist, watching Emily's car disappear into the traffic before tugging at her man, "Should we head home too?"
Brady wasn't in a rush. His dark eyes gazed into the night, his voice tender, "If we go home this early, what about our alone time?"
"What do you mean we don't have the time only for us?" Violet teased, her voice soft.
"Of course, I mean some pre-wedding fun," Brady said, leaning down to gently nibble her ear.
The nibble made Violet's heart skip a beat, her face turning red.
"You're so naughty."
"This is nothing. Just wait and see what real naughtiness is," Brady whispered.
Violet fell silent.
