Chapter 41 He Never Treated Her with Kindness

Half an hour later, the car finally reached the underground parking lot.

Max parked the car properly, and Violet and he both got out. As soon as they got out, Violet looked around vigilantly to see if there were any colleagues nearby.

Fortunately, it was still early, and there weren't many people in the underground parking lot.

"Mr. Green, you actually didn't need to come to pick me up." Withdrawing her observant gaze, Violet said to Max beside her.

She really needed to imply to Mr. Green that she didn't really want him to come pick her up.

However, Max completely didn't catch her hint and said completely unperturbed, "It's just on the way."

What on earth does he mean by 'on the way'? Violet wanted to say something more when suddenly a black Bentley raced past them.

An instant whirlwind stirred up, nearly brushing against Violet.

Startled, Violet quickly stepped back, and Max, who was next to her, immediately came over to protect her, saying, "Violet, are you okay?"

"Mr. Green, I'm fine." Violet, still frightened, looked at the 'familiar' Bentley car parked steadily in the most VIP-exclusive spot at the Hall family home.

Her eyelids trembled.

All of a sudden, Violet's heart skipped a beat. This car... could it be Brady’s?
Then why did his car almost hit her earlier?

Violet couldn't figure it out, but before she could dwell on it, someone stepped out of the Bentley.

Sure enough, it was the handsomely dressed Brady, exuding an air of elegance.

And it seemed like there was no driver getting out.

Could it be that he was driving by himself today?

Violet glanced at him for a moment but dared not look any longer. She turned to the protective Mr. Green beside her and said, "Mr. Green, shall we go to the company?"

"Alright." Max reluctantly released his hand that was resting on Violet's soft shoulder.
Indeed, it was soft.

In an instant, Brady’s gaze took on a hint of a different color.

Regardless of whether his gaze was right or not, Violet didn't want to face him right now.

Perhaps that night a year ago had cast a shadow over her.

Every time this man saw her, his malicious intent was evident.

He never treated her with kindness.

Violet tightened her grip on her little purse and started walking toward the employee elevator.

Max followed closely behind, keeping pace with Violet.

Meanwhile, Brady, not far from them, naturally saw the 'intimate' scene of them riding the elevator together, his eyes deepening.

Just now, when he drove in, he saw the two of them.

He saw that they came in the same car.

Brady didn't understand what was going on. Some strange feeling seemed to emerge, prompting him to step on the gas and speed past them.

After parking the car, Brady regained his composure.

Had he really gone crazy?

Last night, when he suddenly hugged her, some kind of crazy idea entered his mind, making him want to possess her.

But he knew she was someone who played games.

She had schemed against him a year ago. How could he have any thoughts of romance with her?

Brady lowered his gaze and stopped paying attention to them.

Even if they were dating now, it had nothing to do with him.

So, when Violet and the others took the employee elevator, Brady went straight to the president's private elevator nearby.

The two elevators coincidentally left a few seconds apart.
Nothing significant happened.

This uneventful situation continued until around 10 o'clock, when Brady's good friend, Arthur, arrived.

Arthur rarely came to the office to find Brady, partly to avoid suspicion and partly because he didn't want to disturb Brady at work.

But every time he came, he naturally had something to discuss.

Today was no exception.

So, when Arthur knocked on the door and entered, Brady smiled and said, "You never visit without a reason. What brings you here today?"

"You really know me well." Arthur's mischievous face also curled into a smile. He elegantly pulled out a chair in front of Brady's desk and sat down, saying, "So, are you too busy lately?"

"Busy?"

"As usual." Brady stood up and poured tea for Arthur himself.

Placing the teacup in front of Arthur, Brady continued, "How's everything on your end?"

"The same as yours." Arthur turned the handle of the teacup and said, "Has Aiden contacted you?"

"He did, but I haven't seen him."

"Lately, he seems really interested in you," Arthur smiled lightly. "Anyway, let's talk business. I actually have something to discuss with you."

"What is it?"

"My cousin recently got engaged, and I heard that you acquired a well-known clothing design company in the industry. I urgently need a recommendation for a wedding dress designer."
