Chapter 903 He Likes My Cooking
"Henry, you and Dad play for a bit. Mom's gonna freshen up," Violet said, taking a bite of her toast before heading to the bathroom.
Brady picked up Henry and started playing with him.
Once Violet finished freshening up, she came out, and Brady handed Henry over to her so he could go freshen up himself.
The three of them then headed downstairs.
Nicole was sitting on the couch, sipping freshly squeezed mango juice.
When she saw Brady and Violet, she immediately put down her juice and ran over to them, beaming.
Violet scooped her up in an instant and asked, "Nicole, why are you up so early today?"
Nicole tilted her little head and said seriously, "Miss gave me juice."
"Miss?" Violet asked, puzzled.
Nicole couldn't remember Julie's name. Her big eyes blinked, her face turned red, and she struggled to recall the name.
Finally, Hellen, who was nearby, said, "It's Julie."
Violet understood and then suddenly remembered something. She handed Nicole to Brady and said, "Honey, what do you want to eat? I'll make it for you today."
"No need to trouble yourself. Let the staff handle it," Brady said, not wanting her to go into the kitchen.
The kitchen didn't have a modern ventilation system, and the smell of cooking was stronger than at home.
He didn't want her to be bothered by it.
"It's no trouble. I want to make breakfast for you! Just tell me what you want," Violet said, batting her eyelashes playfully.
Brady couldn't resist her charm.
He smiled and said, "Anything you make, I won't be picky."
"Alright, I'll make my specialty breakfast," Violet said, heading to the kitchen behind the villa.
She wanted to make breakfast to meet the person who had been stirring up trouble with Julie—Dora.
The kitchen behind the villa wasn't far, just a two-minute walk.
Violet wasn't familiar with the path at first and took a bit of a detour to get to the kitchen.
When she arrived, she saw three people washing vegetables inside.
Among them were Dora and Julie.
Violet glanced inside before slowly walking in.
As she entered, the three people cleaning the vegetables were momentarily stunned but quickly greeted her politely, "Mrs. Hall, hello."
"Hello, everyone. I want to make some breakfast for Brady," Violet said with a natural and gracious smile, but her eyes were firm, making them not dare to underestimate her.
"Mrs. Hall, the kitchen is dirty. Just tell us what Mr. Hall wants to eat," one of the older maids said respectfully.
"It's fine. He likes my cooking," Violet said, deliberately walking up to Dora. "Madam, could you help me?"
Dora didn't know what Violet was up to but pretended to cooperate, answering humbly, "Mrs. Hall, I'd be honored."
"Then please get me some eggs," Violet said with a smile, grabbing an empty bowl.
Dora obediently went to get the eggs from the basket.
When Dora brought the eggs over, Violet handed her the empty bowl and said, "Could you beat the eggs for me? Make sure they're well-beaten. Don't slack off."
The last sentence made Dora's heart tremble. What did Violet mean? Was she accusing her of being lazy?
But how could Violet know she was lazy when it was her first time here?
She must be trying to intimidate her.
Dora figured Violet was just trying to show off her wealthy woman's authority. She scoffed internally. What was Violet so proud of?
Soon enough, Julie would replace her as Brady's wife.
Once Julie became Brady's wife, Dora could follow her to the big city and live a better life.
