Chapter 622 He Won't Give Up on Violet
The unfamiliar middle-aged man shouted loudly, causing everyone present to be shocked once again. The reporters, of course, wouldn't miss such explosive news and immediately raised their cameras to frantically snap photos of the man.
Violet, sitting nearby, watched the middle-aged man with an increasingly troubled expression. Finally, overwhelmed by the situation, she couldn't catch her breath and fainted on the stage.
Seeing this, Brady hurriedly picked her up and instructed the surrounding bodyguards, "Clear the area and bring that man over."
The bodyguards quickly responded, clearing the area and first escorting the reporters out.
Brady carried the unconscious Violet to the nearest hospital. Fortunately, after emergency treatment, she was found to be fine, having fainted due to extreme agitation.
Once the doctors revived her, Violet quietly fell into a deep sleep.
Brady stepped out of the hospital room, where several bodyguards and his assistant, Eddy, were already waiting.
Eddy, seeing him come out, immediately apologized, "Mr. Hall, that man got away."
"How did he get away?" Brady asked, frowning and visibly angry.
Today's press conference had been going smoothly until this unexpected disruption. Who could be so bold as to cause such chaos?
"He had help," Eddy replied. "We couldn't catch him. Also, I think this man wasn't here to reconnect with Mrs. Hall but to stir up trouble."
Eddy analyzed that someone might be trying to ruin Violet's reputation.
Otherwise, why would he run if he was genuinely trying to reconnect?
"Investigate this. We need to find out who is behind this," Brady ordered coldly.
Eddy nodded and then added, "Mr. Hall, the photo is real."
"What do you mean?" Brady asked, his eyes darkening.
He knew Violet's mother had passed away but was unaware of this particular matter.
"I've verified the photo. It's real. It's a picture of Gerry, Mrs. Hall's mother, and another unknown man at a nightclub," Eddy reported the information he had quickly gathered. "But whether Mrs. Hall is related to the Devereux family, we'll need to ask Gerry."
Brady pondered for a moment, "I understand. You go ahead and find out who's behind this. I won't let them get away with it."
Eddy nodded and went off to investigate.
Brady stood at the door, deep in thought, before re-entering the room to stay with Violet.
In fact, Violet had already woken up. She had heard the conversation outside the door. So, the photo was real?
What had happened to her mother in the past?
Violet couldn't help but recall her mother's past. In her memory, her father indeed seemed to dislike her mother. He looked at her mother with disgust, as if she were something dirty.
Because of this, she had never felt the happiness of a normal family since their marriage.
Gerry ignored her and her mother, and shortly after marrying her mother, he had an affair with Eileen.
So what had happened back then? Why did he treat her mother this way?
Or was her father someone else entirely?
Thinking about all this made Violet's head spin.
Moreover, this incident would definitely affect the Hall family. Even if she came from an ordinary background, it wouldn't matter, but if her mother had truly been involved in a nightclub, it would certainly impact the Hall family's and the Hall Group's reputation.
Violet didn't want to drag Brady down.
But Brady didn't care about these things. He married Violet, not her mother.
At most, the external gossip might affect the Hall Group a bit.
He wouldn't abandon Violet because of this.
