Chapter 412 Oliver is Apologizing
"Are you sure this is okay?" Violet asked, looking a bit worried.
Brady, not caring at all, gently stroked her face right in front of the assistant. "With my build, no problem. You don't need to worry."
Just then, there was another knock on the door.
This time, two assistants walked in, each carrying fancy breakfast packages. "Sir, breakfast is ready."
"Put it on the table," Brady ordered, sounding all bossy.
The assistants respectfully unpacked the high-end meals and set them on a small dining table nearby.
Not wanting to hang around, they quickly grabbed the paper bags and left.
Eddy then helped Brady over to the dining table. Once he was seated, Brady waved Violet over to join him.
Violet obediently sat down. As soon as she did, Brady said, "Eddy, fill Ms. Devereux in on what happened yesterday."
Before Violet could ask what had gone down, Eddy started. "Ma'am, yesterday's mess was because of Oliver and Lilian. Oliver will be here soon to apologize. As for Lilian, she hasn't shown any sign of wanting to apologize yet. But don't worry, if she doesn't, she'll soon realize the trouble the Devereux Group will be in."
Eddy finished his report respectfully.
Violet nodded, feeling a bit touched by how much Brady had done for her.
"Thank you," Violet said, looking up and smiling at Eddy.
"It's my duty," Eddy replied, then gave a slight bow to Brady. "I'll be back in a bit."
Brady nodded, and Eddy quickly left.
With the door closed again, Violet took the initiative to set the tableware for Brady, and they started eating together.
A few minutes later, footsteps echoed in the hallway.
Soon, there was another knock on the door. Brady knew it was Oliver and put down his utensils, calling out, "Come in."
Sure enough, Eddy led a casually dressed Oliver into the room.
Eddy stepped aside as Oliver stood in front of Brady and Violet, ready to apologize. But Oliver felt extremely uneasy with Violet there.
Oliver's eyes widened, and his fingers started to clench.
He had thought he would only be apologizing to Brady, not expecting Violet to be there too.
Feeling humiliated, Oliver's slightly handsome face turned red with shame. He kept glaring at Violet, wanting to curse but not daring to, so he just kept staring.
"Oliver, weren't you here to apologize?" Brady's cold voice made Oliver's legs tremble, almost causing him to kneel.
Trying to stay calm, Oliver shifted his gaze to Brady and said, "Sir, I'm really sorry about yesterday. I didn't mean it."
Brady replied, "Are you sure you're only apologizing to me?"
Oliver, still wanting to resist, stayed silent. He didn't want Violet to feel triumphant, as it would infuriate him.
Seeing Oliver's hesitation, Brady suddenly stood up, raised his hand, and forcefully stabbed a silver fork into Oliver's thigh, saying coldly, "Oliver, it seems you're not sincerely here to apologize."
With that, Oliver screamed in pain.
