Chapter 638 Where Did She Go

Hall Group Headquarters

Brady sat in his office chair, staring at the text message on his phone. His brows furrowed slightly. Violet had to work overtime at noon? He had just been at JK discussing work with Max.

Violet had left right at noon, so where was this overtime coming from?

What was his wife up to?

Was she deliberately hiding something from him?

Brady was pretty confident in his own charm. He always believed that since Violet was with him, she wouldn't be interested in any other man.

After all, no other man had his charisma and financial power.

But because of this suspicious text message, Brady started to wonder if she was hiding something from him.

Like, who did she go out to meet?

With that thought, Brady immediately dialed the assistant's office and called Eddy.

"Eddy, check Violet's schedule for noon."

Eddy quickly responded, "Yes, Mr. Hall."

After hanging up, Eddy swiftly investigated Violet's noon schedule. It didn't take long to find out that Violet had gone to a high-end restaurant for lunch and had specifically sent away her bodyguards.

As for whether Violet went to the restaurant for a meal or something else, Eddy couldn't find out.

He promptly reported the information he could gather to Brady.

After learning this, Brady stood up from his office chair, adjusted his tie, and decided not to let the driver to pick him up. He went to the underground garage to get his car himself and headed to the restaurant where Violet had lunch today.

Meanwhile, inside the restaurant.

Violet sat across from Ethan, feeling a bit uncomfortable. She handed him a prepared gift and forced a smile. "Mr. Lawson, I know you don't usually accept gifts, but I really appreciate you finding Henry for me. So, I hope you'll accept this."

The gift wasn't particularly expensive, just a men's signature pen worth over ten thousand dollars.

If she gave something like perfume or a scarf, it would seem too intimate.

A pen, however, was more like a business gift.

Less likely to be misunderstood.

Ethan glanced at it and didn't refuse. He reached out to take it, a subtle smile playing on his lips, looking both refined and handsome. "Thank you."

"Shall we order?" Violet handed him the menu.

Ethan didn't refuse and took the menu.

But as he took it, his deep gaze remained fixed on her, giving her the unsettling feeling of being prey.

Violet noticed and felt even more uncomfortable. His gaze was too blatant, reminiscent of how Brady used to look at her long ago.

So, Violet felt a bit uneasy.

But she didn't think too much of it. After all, she was married with children, and he should know that.

So she relaxed a bit, thinking it was just one meal and she wouldn't see him again. Violet started to look through the menu herself.

Just as she turned a page, Ethan's warm voice came through, "By the way, I haven't asked your name yet."

To Ethan, this woman felt strangely familiar.

And it was a kind of familiarity that attracted him.

Ethan wanted to get to know her better.

"Bianca Patton." Violet smiled."

"Bianca," Ethan repeated it.

"Mr. Lawson, feel free to order anything here. It's my way of thanking you for your help." Violet changed the subject.

"Alright." Ethan withdrew his gaze, smiled slightly, and really did start looking through the menu to order.
