Chapter 727 Charlotte's Methods Are Very High

The sleek black luxury car sped down the brightly lit highway as the moonlight deepened.

Soon, they arrived at the nearest hospital.

Calliope helped her into the emergency room, while Violet stayed in the car, not intending to get out.

Brady noticed this and walked around to her side, getting in from the other door. "Let's wait for Calliope," he suggested.

"You can go in and check," Violet replied curtly, her expression stern.

Brady, puzzled by her sudden displeasure, furrowed his handsome brows and gently touched her face. "What's wrong? Why are you upset all of a sudden?"

"Do I look upset?" Violet wanted him to admit the truth himself, so she didn't spell it out.

Brady was genuinely confused.

The only thing he could think of was bringing Charlotte to the hospital.

But Charlotte had an accident at Harbor Bay, and the scene was chaotic with no extra vehicles to transport her.

Could Violet be jealous of that?

It wasn't impossible, considering he hadn't done anything else to upset her.

"Are you jealous?" Brady moved closer, his strikingly handsome face now just inches from hers, his breath warm against her skin.

Violet's lips twitched involuntarily, and she blinked. "Do you know who she is?"

"Charlotte?" Brady raised an eyebrow.

He only knew she was a new hire in the PR department.

Could Violet know her?

"Yes." Violet nodded, staring directly into his deep, dark eyes.

"I only know she recently joined the Hall Group. I don't care about anything else. Do you expect me to get to know every female employee who joins?" Brady's voice was low as he curled his finger and gently tapped her cute, upturned nose.

It seemed Violet had become more jealous lately.

She couldn't stand seeing him with any other woman, even for work.

"Do you not know who she is?" She asked.

Brady rarely lied to her, so Violet believed him when he said he didn't remember Charlotte.

After all, during the Devereux family press conference, Charlotte hadn't spoken at all.

It was her father and grandparents who had caused the commotion.

It made sense that Brady didn't remember her.

"Have I ever lied to you, my love?" Brady moved closer to her lips, his brushing against hers, his voice seductive. "If you're going to be jealous, at least let me know why. Otherwise, I'm in the dark here."

Violet's heart nearly burst from his teasing, her breath quickening. "You wouldn't dare betray me," she whispered weakly.

"Of course not, silly. You're the only woman I've ever loved. If I ever betrayed you, I'd deserve to die," Brady said softly, comforting her.

Violet finally felt at ease.

"I thought you knew her, which is why I was a bit upset. Now that I know you don't, it's fine." She paused before continuing, "She's Lilian's cousin. She was at the Devereux family press conference that day."

Brady froze for a moment, then understood. "She's Eileen's niece?"

"Yes."

"In that case, there's no need to keep her around," Brady said after a moment's thought.

Eileen had caused Violet so much pain; there was no reason to keep her family around.

Violet agreed. She knew that with Eileen gone, the Devereux family wouldn't let it go easily.

Keeping Charlotte around would only cause more trouble.

However, she underestimated Charlotte's cunning.
