After getting out of jail, Charlotte glanced at the sky and suddenly remembered that Calliope and Violet were pretty tight.

"Yeah, all wrapped up. I'm heading back now. How about we grab lunch? My treat," Charlotte said as she flagged down a cab.
Calliope didn't hesitate. "Sure, but what's with the sudden lunch invite?"
Charlotte replied, "I just thought of you and figured we could catch up. You don't have plans with your boyfriend, do you?"
Charlotte knew Calliope was dating Eddy from the executive office.
"Nope, he's swamped today and can't make it," Calliope said honestly.
"Perfect, then get ready. I'll be at your office in about 20 minutes to pick you up," Charlotte said briskly before hanging up.
She then started plotting how to befriend Violet.
Because of the incident with Lilian, Violet was very wary of her and refused to get close, making it impossible for Charlotte to approach her and Brady.
She needed to act fast.
Otherwise, once Violet had her baby and recovered, Brady wouldn't need another woman.
Charlotte wanted to climb the social ladder by getting pregnant.
Of course, getting pregnant wasn't easy.
Suddenly, she remembered something and called her good friend in California, asking her to send a more potent, seductive perfume.
That way, she could ensure everything went smoothly, and she could sleep with the man she wanted.

After Matilda brought the little girl back, the girl's eyes widened at the sight of the luxurious mansion.

She knew this mansion belonged to that young CEO.

His grandmother had brought her back instead.

So, after bringing her back, Matilda said, "Young lady, from today, you'll stay with the Hall family as a maid. How does that sound?"
The girl, feeling a bit proud, tried to put on airs. "I've never been a maid."
Matilda gave her a sharp look and frowned. "You can learn. I brought you back to help dispel the rumors about my grandson, Brady."
The girl's mind flashed to his striking face and strong, tall frame, and she blushed slightly.
"Okay, I'll help him."
"That's the spirit. So, you'll temporarily work as our maid. Once this matter is resolved, I'll arrange for your family to come and get you," Matilda continued, seeing her agreement. "How does that sound?"
"I'll help you, but please don't call my family. They don't deserve to be called my family," the girl said, feeling hurt and angry as she remembered her parents selling her. "I won't go back to them."
"Fine, I won't call them. You can go wherever you want afterward, and we won't interfere," Matilda said.
The girl fell silent. She didn't want to go anywhere; she liked the handsome man.
After a moment of silence, she bit her lip and said, "I want to stay."
Matilda hadn't intended to keep her, but seeing her pitiful expression, her kind heart couldn't refuse. "Alright."
