About ten minutes later, the press conference about Eileen's death officially kicked off.
The reporters, who had been waiting impatiently, immediately started firing off questions: "Mr. Devereux, are you planning to sue Mrs. Violet Hall?"
"The police reported Mrs. Eileen Devereux's death last night. Was it really caused by Mrs. Violet Hall?"
"Do you have any evidence that Mrs. Eileen Devereux was subjected to psychological torment?"

After the barrage of sensitive questions, Daniel, Eileen's brother and the Devereux family representative, picked up the microphone. Struggling to contain his anger and sorrow, he said, "Yes, we have evidence. Before my sister Eileen was apprehended by the police, she was held captive in an abandoned warehouse owned by the Hall Group. She endured inhumane torture there. This wasn't the first time she suffered such abuse. Eileen was Mrs. Hall's stepmother. "We can provide her psychiatric evaluation." Daniel's voice was filled with anger and determination as he spoke each word.
The reporters immediately began whispering among themselves: "Is he saying Eileen had mental issues?"

"Yeah, I find it hard to believe that Mrs. Violet Hall bullied an adult to the point of causing mental illness."
"Me too. This whole thing seems strange. Was the evaluation done before or after her death?"

"I'm more curious about why Mrs. Violet Hall hasn't spoken up yet. What's her take on this? Is she admitting to it or just too scared to respond?"

As the murmurs continued, Daniel prepared to play a recording. "Ladies and gentlemen of the press, I am about to reveal just how cruel Mrs. Violet Hall is."
Just as Daniel was about to play the recording, the conference room door swung open. Violet and Ava walked in side by side.
Contrary to the Devereux family's and the reporters' expectations, the two women appeared calm and confident, not at all flustered or nervous. They looked more like they were there to take control of the situation rather than to defend themselves.
Ava, once the queen of the red carpet and Crestoria's first dual-award-winning star, commanded attention. As soon as she entered, she became the center of focus.
Given the previous rumors about Ava and Violet's strained relationship, the reporters couldn't help but whisper, "Didn't Mrs. Ava Hall look down on Mrs. Violet Hall?"
"I heard that too, but they don't seem to be at odds at all, judging by how they walked in together."
"I thought this press conference would be dull, but with a celebrity here, it's going to be interesting."
As the whispers continued, Violet and Ava exchanged a glance and then walked in hand in hand.
This display of closeness was enough to dispel the rumors of their discord. The reporters wouldn't miss such a significant moment and quickly raised their cameras to capture the scene.
In an instant, the focus shifted from the Devereux family to Violet and Ava, much to Daniel's displeasure.
