Chapter 653 A Surprise

"Mr. Hall, Violet's mom was part of the Devereux family. How can you just take the urn like that?" Pelinka forced a smile, trying to seem accommodating. "Her ashes belong in the Devereux family cemetery. It's only right."

"Cut the crap. We all know how you kicked her and her daughter out. Now that she's gone, you want to claim her?" Brady wasn't buying any of it.

"Mr. Hall, don't push us too far," Pelinka said, realizing he was dead set on taking the urn.

Her tone grew sharper, but it was no match for Brady's imposing presence.

Brady sneered. "Mrs. Devereux, I suggest you think this through. If you make me, the Devereux Villa won't stand. And I won't say it again. Hand over the urn."

Pelinka sighed and told Eileen, "Give them the urn." It was a fake one anyway.

If they wanted it, they could have it.

But they underestimated Brady. He wasn't easily fooled. He knew Pelinka wouldn't give up anything so easily, so he remained calm and said, "Pelinka, be smart. Give Violet the real urn, or none of you will stay here today."

He wasn't joking.

As he spoke, his bodyguards had already surrounded the living room.

Pelinka and Eileen's faces turned sour at the sight.

Given their current predicament, with Gerry and Lilian in jail, who could they turn to for help?

No one would risk offending Brady to help them.

So, Eileen and Pelinka swallowed their pride and reluctantly handed over all of Violet's mother's belongings.

Violet clutched her mother's things, her eyes instantly welling up with tears, and she began to sob silently.

Seeing Violet and the urn she held, James's emotions surged. The pain in his heart intensified, and he felt overwhelmed.

James opened his mouth to call out to Violet, but before he could speak, he collapsed from a sudden heart attack.

His assistant and Ethan were terrified.

Violet was also startled.

They rushed to help him.

"Dad, what's wrong?" Ethan tried to revive him.

But it was no use.

Brady spoke up, "Take him to the hospital."

Ethan snapped out of it, picked up James, and hurried outside.

Violet and Brady followed closely behind to accompany them to the hospital.

Eileen and Pelinka stood there, fuming with anger. It seemed that whenever Violet showed up, trouble followed.

Meanwhile, at the international airport.

Juniper had secretly returned to Crestoria, sneaking away from her mother.

Pulling her suitcase through the terminal, Juniper looked at the bustling city outside, feeling a bit excited. She didn't know why her brother and father were in Crestoria.

But if they found out she was here too, wouldn't they be surprised and delighted?

Thinking about it, Juniper's mood brightened.

But first, she needed to find a hotel to stay in.
