Chapter 898 Darling, Tell Me, How Did I Offend You
"Of course, it's you." Violet deliberately pushed his hand away and stormed towards the villa.
Brady frowned slightly, puzzled about what he had done to upset her.
Understanding the reason was one thing, but the most important task now was to calm Violet down.
Brady rubbed his temples and sighed softly.
He took large strides to catch up with Violet.
Once he caught up, he said, "Darling, tell me, what did I do to make you mad?"
"Figure it out yourself." Violet snapped at him and kept walking towards the villa, with Brady trailing closely behind.
He couldn't figure it out, so he had to resort to more drastic measures.
So, just as Violet was about to enter the villa, he scooped her up in one swift motion.
Startled, Violet clutched Brady's shirt, her expression changing as she angrily demanded, "Put me down right now!"
"Not until you tell me what's wrong," Brady said firmly.
Violet glared at him and said, "I'm angry."
"Then tell me, what are you angry about?" Brady held her tightly, not wanting to let her go.
"Your sister likes you, did you know that?" Violet said, thinking about the conversation she overheard between Julie and Dora.
The thought made her furious.
"Calliope?" Brady was confused at first, thinking of his other sister, Calliope.
He looked at Violet incredulously, "Are you sure you're not just being jealous? Calliope is doing well with Eddy."
"It's not her," Violet said irritably. "She even suggested sharing you with me. Are you happy about that?"
Brady was helpless.
Happy? About what?
He had no interest in polygamy.
"Are you talking about Julie?" Brady finally realized what she was jealous of.
Violet didn't respond, deliberately turning her face away to ignore him.
Seeing that she had misunderstood, Brady smiled helplessly and affectionately before saying, "Tonight, I'll explain everything about Julie to you, so you don't have to be jealous."
Violet saw him smile and thought he didn't care about her feelings.
She got even angrier and struggled to get down, saying, "How can you laugh? I'm so mad!"
"I'm not laughing at you," Brady said, putting her down but not letting her go.
He wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her into his embrace, and began to explain about Julie.
"I don't know why you think there's something between Julie and me, but I can assure you, I only love you. I won't be unfaithful, and I definitely won't entertain the idea of polygamy. You are my only wife."
"But she said she likes you," Violet said jealously.
Julie was indeed very beautiful, young, and mixed-race.
Violet felt a bit threatened.
Brady thought she was being irrationally jealous. He gently tapped her cute nose and said seriously, "She might just be grateful, but I can promise you, I won't be unfaithful."
"Listen to her story first, then decide if you want to be jealous." He added.
"What story?" Violet asked, trying to suppress her jealousy.
Brady stroked her soft hair and said, "Her background and my history with her brother, Lance Walsh. To put it simply, Lance is like a benefactor to me, which is why I took her in."
