Chapter 655 Improper Relationship
"Don't worry, there won't be a next time." Despite his possessive and jealous nature, Violet couldn't help but enjoy the feeling of being the object of his jealousy and possessiveness.
So, Violet snuggled up to him and acted coy.
Seeing her soften and behave so sweetly, Brady's anger quickly dissipated. They continued walking arm in arm. "By the way, are you really not planning to acknowledge him?"
Violet sighed and nodded. "Don't you think it would be weird if I did? My mom's relationship with him was probably not very proper."
Otherwise, she wouldn't have Ethan as a brother.
"Alright, I respect your choice." Brady gently ruffled her hair. "From now on, the Hall family is your family. My parents are your parents too."
Violet nodded happily.
Yes, the Hall family had been really good to her. Even Ava, who used to dislike her, was slowly accepting her.
Not to mention, her grandmother and Michael had always liked her.
She felt incredibly lucky to have met such a loving husband and his family.
Platinum Haven Hotel.
After checking in and getting her room key, Juniper dragged her suitcase to her suite. Once inside, she didn't bother unpacking and went straight to take a bath.
After her bath, she comfortably lay on the bed and called her brother, Ethan.
The call connected, and Juniper didn't immediately ask where he was. Instead, she playfully said, "Hey, Mom said you returned to Crestoria. Is that true?"
Ethan, holding his phone, stepped out of the hospital room and stood in the hallway to talk. "Yeah, are you done with your vacation?"
Juniper smiled, twirling her hair. "Yeah, it's been over for two days. What are you doing back in Crestoria?"
"Nothing much, just some business." Ethan's tone softened, slightly indulgent.
"What kind of business? Can I know?" Juniper asked deliberately.
"You wouldn't understand this business. I'll tell you later. If there's nothing else, I'll hang up now."
Afraid he would really hang up, Juniper quickly said, "Wait, how long do you plan to stay in Crestoria?"
How long?
Ethan hadn't counted, but he knew he had to wait until James recovered.
"Probably about a month."
A month? Juniper was surprised. What was going on that required a month?
Could they really be hiding something? Otherwise, why keep it from her and Mom?
Juniper's curiosity grew.
"That long? Mom and I will miss you." Juniper snapped back to reality and said coyly.
"I'll come back as soon as I can," Ethan said, rubbing his forehead slightly.
Juniper responded, then changed the subject. "Did you know Dad also backs Crestoria?"
Ethan was taken aback. He didn't want Juniper and the family to know about this right away, so he denied it. "No, I didn't know."
He paused. "Juniper, I have something to do. We'll talk next time."
Juniper didn't press further. After all, she was already in Crestoria and wasn't worried about not finding out what they were up to.
"Bye, brother."
"Bye."
After hanging up, Ethan took a deep breath and stood in the hallway for a moment before returning to the hospital room.
As soon as he entered, James opened his eyes and woke up.
Seeing this, Ethan quickly walked over. "Dad, you're awake. How are you feeling?"
James felt weak, his body like it was floating on a cloud, but overall, he didn't feel too bad. "I'm okay."
"That's good. If you feel uncomfortable, let me know," Ethan continued.
James nodded, then looked at Ethan with a slightly scattered gaze. "Have you been following me?"
Otherwise, how would he have ended up at The Devereux Villa?
