Chapter 325 I Am Innocent, So I Am Not Afraid
Violet and Leana got to the police station with the officer in no time.
While the officer started filing the report, Leana and Violet sat on a bench in the investigation area, waiting.
Violet turned to Leana. "Ms. Moore, did you just frame me on purpose?"
Leana sneered, lifting her chin. "Ms. Devereux, if you're gonna accuse me, you better have proof. Otherwise, I'll have my lawyer sue you."
Sue her? Violet wasn't scared anymore. "Did you frame me because of Brady?"
Leana's eyes narrowed. "I'll say it again, if you falsely accuse me, I will sue you."
Violet smirked. "If you're so confident, why not just take Brady from me? Framing me won't help. If Brady finds out, he'll come running to my side."
Leana's face twisted with anger. The mere mention of Brady siding with Violet was like a slap in the face.
Was Violet suggesting that Leana couldn't win Brady over, but she could?
Leana's fury boiled over. She raised her hand to slap Violet, but her assistant grabbed her arm just in time, warning, "Leana, don't. This is the police station. Think about your image."
Leana gritted her teeth, glaring at Violet. "What are you so proud of? You think having Brady is a big deal? He's just playing you."
"Whether Brady's playing me or not is none of your business," Violet shot back. She was done being pushed around. She wasn't backing down, Brady or no Brady.
"And if you're jealous, go ahead and take him. I won't stop you," she added.
Leana almost laughed at the absurdity. Violet, that bitch, who got kicked out by the Devereux family, was mocking her, knowing she couldn't win over Brady.
But her assistant was right. She had to keep her cool. She clenched her fists and spat, "Violet, don't get too cocky. Brady will dump you sooner or later."
Violet shrugged. She already knew there was no future for her with Brady.
Just then, Max walked in, heading straight for Violet.
The officer, now done with the paperwork, called Violet over. "Ms. Devereux, come with me and tell me what happened."
"Okay." As Violet stood up, Brady's assistant, Eddy, approached her. He'd been sent by Brady to check on things.
Eddy stopped her. "Ms. Devereux, Mr. Hall said he'd handle it."
Violet shook her head. "Eddy, tell Mr. Hall I want to handle this myself."
She needed to deal with this on her own. She couldn't rely on Brady for everything.
Eddy looked troubled. "Ms. Devereux, it's..."
"I'm innocent, so I'm not afraid," Violet said, heading to the interrogation room with the officer.
Eddy watched her go, hesitated, then called Mr. Hall while thinking, 'Ms. Devereux doesn't need Mr. Hall to intervene!'
