Chapter 909 Brady Had to Let Go of Violet and Let Bob in

Julie called out as she searched through the banana grove for any sign of Dora.

But no matter how loudly she shouted, Dora, now buried under the earth, would never respond.

Julie's voice grew hoarse and dry after a while.

She stopped shouting and continued deeper into the grove.

After walking for about five minutes, she paused to call out again.

"Dora, where are you? Quit hiding, everyone's looking for you."

Miles, who wasn't far away, heard her voice.

He stood up from under a banana tree, grabbed his knife, and said coldly, "Avoid her for now."

"Mr. Gibson, she's walking right into our trap. Isn't this the perfect chance to take her out?" The burly man who had killed Dora couldn't help but speak up.

Another burly man quickly interrupted in a low voice, "Mr. Gibson said we can't draw Mr. Hall's attention. Don't ask questions."

"Yeah, my bad, Mr. Gibson," the burly man realized his mistake and quickly lowered his head to apologize to Miles.

Miles didn't have time to argue with his subordinates. In a stern voice, he said, "Erase the footprints, let's go."

The two burly men quickly gathered their scattered guns and knives from under the banana trees and wiped away their footprints before following Miles deeper into the grove.

Before leaving the grove, Miles glanced through the layers of leaves at Julie, who was calling out.

Julie was no longer the underdeveloped, frail girl from a few years ago.

Her features were now sharp and defined, her skin a healthy tan, and she bore a striking resemblance to Lance.

As Miles watched from a distance, a memory flashed through his mind of that stormy night when Lance single-handedly killed his uncle.

It was an unforgettable scene.

Lance had grabbed his uncle by the throat and snapped his neck, then stabbed him in the throat to let him bleed out.

Lance was a mercenary, and there was no need to kill his uncle and bleed him out just because of an order from above.

This was a mystery that Miles couldn't understand.

After a few more glances at Julie, Miles' blue eyes darkened with a fiery intensity before he turned away and led his men out of the grove.

In their haste, the burly man who had killed Dora left behind a blood-stained banana leaf.

When Julie reached the spot, she didn't find Dora's body, but she did find the blood-stained leaf in the corner of a banana tree.

Julie instinctively picked it up and examined it.

Both sides of the leaf were covered in blood, some of it dried, some still fresh.

It was a chilling sight.

Julie immediately became alert, looking around cautiously.

Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, but the blood-stained leaf was not normal.

This island was private, almost unknown to outsiders, so the blood couldn't belong to a stranger.

Could it be Dora's?

Julie's face turned pale with fear.

If it was Dora's blood, something terrible must have happened to her.

Terrified, Julie didn't dare stay any longer. She quickly ran out of the dense banana grove, clutching the blood-stained leaf.

Once out, she went straight to find Bob.

Bob looked at the leaf but couldn't be sure if it was Dora's blood.

"Julie, stay out of this. I'll go talk to Mr. Hall," Bob said.

Julie nodded, too scared to get involved any further.

Bob reassured her briefly before taking the blood-stained leaf to find Brady.

Brady had just finished breakfast and was sharing sweet nothings with Violet when Bob knocked on the door.

Brady had to let go of Violet and let Bob in.
