Chapter 960 Missing My Dear, Want to Call and Ask What You Are Doing?
After trying on three wedding dresses, Violet thought they were all beautiful. They were, after all, the creations of an international master, and it was unique in the world. But something still felt off.
She couldn't quite put her finger on it.
Wearing one of the dresses designed by the renowned Verenthia, she stood in front of the fitting mirror, examining herself from different angles.
Emily thought the dress Violet was trying on was stunning. "This dress is gorgeous," she said.
"I still feel like something's missing," Violet said, looking down at the dress. It was beautiful, but it lacked a certain something she couldn't quite put her finger on.
"Why does a wedding dress need so many embellishments? I think this one is trendy and minimalist," Emily said, not understanding what Violet felt was missing. She thought Violet might be complaining that the dress was too simple.
Violet waved her hand and gently pinched the corner of the dress, smiling. "It's not about needing more embellishments. It's just missing a feeling I want. Maybe it's because I'm a designer myself."
So she was more sensitive to these things.
Emily understood and was about to say something when Violet's phone rang.
It was Brady calling.
Emily wisely stepped aside to give her some privacy.
Violet answered the call, her voice naturally sweet and affectionate, which made Emily a bit envious. "How do you have time to call me from work?"
"I missed my darling and wanted to see what you were up to," Brady said, sitting in his office chair with nothing pressing to do.
"I'm trying on wedding dresses," Violet said, her eyes crinkling with a smile.
The happiness she felt was palpable to everyone around her.
"Send me a picture, sweetheart?" Brady asked, eager to see what style she had chosen.
"We agreed, remember? My wedding dress is a secret until the wedding day. I want to surprise you."
Brady chuckled. "So I just have to sit here every day, imagining how beautiful you'll look in your wedding dress?"
"It won't be long. Just a few more days, and you'll see."
"Alright, I'll wait for your surprise," Brady said, his voice tender and indulgent, filled with love for her.
Emily couldn't hear what Brady was saying, but from Violet's words and her blissful expression, Emily felt a pang of envy.
This was what true love and marriage looked like.
Mutual affection and pampering.
Maybe she should really learn to accept Austin?
Would he spoil her like this forever?
Emily stood quietly, watching Violet bask in her happiness, and made a silent resolution. This time, she would completely forget about Lucien.
When they left the bridal shop, it was still early.
Violet suggested they grab a meal together.
Emily had no objections and readily agreed.
After they made their decision, they got back in the car, and Brady sent another message.
He wanted to have dinner with her.
Violet showed the message to Emily, who deliberately huffed and said with a smile, "You two are always showing off your love. I'm so jealous. Invite him to join us."
Violet laughed. "Alright, I'll let him know."
After replying to Brady, Violet put down her phone and looked ahead at the traffic. Suddenly, she said, "Since I've invited my darling, why don't you invite Austin too?"
"We can all meet up. I haven't met Austin yet!"
Emily was silent for a couple of seconds but quickly said, "Okay, I'll ask if he's free." She needed to take the first step in inviting Austin.
Seeing that Emily didn't refuse, Violet smiled and continued texting her clingy Brady.
