Chapter 30 Violet doesn't want to get too close to him

Mommy was the best person in the world to them, even if she came home late, they wouldn't be angry.
Because they love Mommy.
"Violet, do you still have to work overtime tonight?" Her aunt sat down next to her and asked.
"I don't think so." There shouldn't be any more social engagements tonight.
"That's good." Her aunt smiled gently once again.
"I'll feed them first." Violet unbuttoned her blouse and began to breastfeed the babies.
While nursing, Violet looked at her two little babies who clung to her, feeling both happy and heartbroken.
She had to earn money well to create a good life for her babies.
Fifteen minutes later, the two little babies were satisfied from their feeding and continued to play with the building blocks around Violet.
Violet sat beside them and played along.
Her aunt noticed that she looked a bit pale.
"Violet, why don't you go and rest for a while, or else you won't have energy for work in the afternoon."
"I will go in a bit." She was indeed feeling a bit sleepy.
Last night's intermittent sleep left her with a lingering dizziness in her head, as if no amount of sleep could satisfy her.
Violet continued to play with the children.
After half an hour of playing, she returned to her bedroom to freshen up and catch up on sleep.
She slept deeply and woke up close to noon.
Thinking about having to go to work soon, Violet didn't indulge in more sleep and hurriedly got up to get ready for the office.
But unfortunately... she bumped into Brady again.
This time, they were in the same elevator.
Violet didn't want to be too close to him to avoid any misunderstandings.
She could only squeeze into the corner.
Luckily, Brady had no intention of speaking to her.
In fact, his face remained calm. He felt that he shouldn't pay attention to this woman anymore. She was starting to make him lose control.
Like last night when he lost control and kissed the young woman, it made him restless all night.
He had rarely been restless for such a reason.
But last night, he truly was restless. The long night felt like an invisible net trapping him. He lay in bed alone, with thoughts of kissing the woman in the presidential suite filling his mind.
It was so sweet.
But no matter how sweet it was, she was still a calculating woman. How could he have any thoughts about a woman who enjoyed scheming?
So Brady stood silently in the elevator.
When they reached the 10th floor, where JK Design Company was located, the elevator doors opened.
Violet quickly grabbed her bag and hurriedly walked out, running fast like a rabbit, afraid that Brady would dislike her again.
Then, she ran all the way to the clock-in area at the front desk of the company, punched her card, and finally stopped to catch her breath.
But before she could catch her breath, the front desk handed her a package and said, "Ms. Devereux, this is a package from Laura. Please take it to her." Violet didn't think too much and took the package to Laura's office.
As an independent designer in the company, Laura had her own office.
Violet knocked on the door, but no one answered. At this time, everyone should have finished lunch and gone back to rest. But Laura's office was empty?
Violet guessed that she might have gone out. So, she planned to leave the package on her own desk and give it to her when she came back.
However, she forgot that Laura didn't like her.
After she placed the package on her own desk and started working for less than 20 minutes, Laura came back and glanced at Violet, who was immersed in her work at her desk.
The jealousy in Laura's heart made a vicious gleam appear in her eyes. She then walked to the front desk and intentionally asked if her package had arrived.
The receptionist and she had conspired and, in front of the designers coming and going around them, said, "She already put the package in her office."
Laura pretended to understand and went to her office first to search. When she didn't find it, she immediately walked to the office area and started shouting, "Has anyone seen my package? It's very expensive, worth 100,000 dollars, containing a diamond accessory that the client urgently needs."
"Ah? Your package is missing?" someone heard and started to show concern. "Could it have been stolen? After all, it's a 100,000 dollars accessory."
"Could someone has really stolen it?" People began discussing one after another, and in the far corner of the office area, Violet heard it all.
She glanced at the package she had taken, and at first, she was puzzled but then realized that she might be falsely accused again.
She had been so careless. Last time, when Laura deliberately caused her trouble, she should have been more vigilant. But it didn't matter anymore.
If she didn't stand up now, she wouldn't be able to explain it when Laura came looking for her later.
Next, Violet pondered for a moment, picked up the package, and said, "The package is with me. The receptionist asked me to deliver it to your office earlier, but you weren't there. I was afraid of losing it, so I took it first and waited for you to come."
Violet finished speaking.
The whole room of designers chattered and looked at her in astonishment.
It seemed like they thought what she said was fake.
Who would keep someone else's package next to them?
"You took it?" Sure enough, Laura seized the opportunity to accuse, "You intentionally took it, right? Knowing there are 100,000 dollars’ worth of accessories inside?"
"I didn't. If you don't believe me, you can ask the receptionist," Violet calmly responded.
"Fine," Laura eagerly wanted her to say that, and immediately asked the receptionist beside her, "Bella, did you let her take my package?"
Bella and Laura were in cahoots, and cooperatively said, "Of course not. How could I casually give your package to someone else?"
Indeed, she was framed.
Violet looked at the two of them performing in harmony in shock. She deeply regretted her careless behavior. How can she clear her name now?
